This place was amazing! Chicken and sausage gumbo is ridiculously amazing! I’m only sad I didn’t get some to go for later this week.

Forget the chain restaurants on the strip or Branson Landing — this place is local and it’s excellent. It’s a little out of the way unless you are on Indian Point. Sit inside when it’s hot; outside when it’s cooler. Great views. Boudin, Crawfish Pie, Gumbo and E’touffee are delicious and authentic. Bread pudding is outrageously good. Beignets are terrific!

This place is the real deal. The gumbo is deliciously authentic! Crawfish pies are awesome! The crawfish étouffée Acadian is outstanding !

Awesome! Wonderful food and service. Didn’t give 5 stars because it is very difficult for disabled people to go in which makes it hard for family member to go. Otherwise would frequent this place! Worth your trip.

We drove quite a ways to get there, it’s near Silver Dollar City on Indian Point. They were out of anything with crawfish, so not much of a selection left. It is very casual; everything is plastic and you pay for bottled water. The sausage sandwiches were good but I probably wouldn’t drive that far for one again.

The food was very good. We were the only customers in the restaurant for an early dinner. I had Jambalaya with corn bread. My buddy Dick had crawfish & catfish with gravy over rice. Good dinner & price.

Great food! Crawfish Acadiana, jambalaya, chicken strips, were all highlights. Gumbo wasn’t the best, had a bit of a charred taste.

Wow! Genuine Cajon food outside south Louisiana. We had the Shrimp and crab gumbo, jambalaya and red beans and rice. All were excellent Service was also excellent. This will be a regular stop in Branson from now on.

Yes, the location is beautiful, especially on a perfect evening when you can sit outside. The food wasn’t very good. We ordered the catfish, etouffe, and shrimp creole. The shrimp dish was ok but the other two were not very good. The catfish and the etouffe didn’t have much taste. The corn muffin was also not tasty. Perhaps the food would be better if the place wasn’t closing down for the season in a few days, but that would be no excuse to put out a subpar product. The service was ok.

The building is rustic but charming; the food was super. Our table had the gumbo, jambalaya, étouffée, red beans and rice, catfish with étouffée, and a brisket sandwich. All drew raves(we sampled each other’s). Despite being stuffed we could not resist the blackberry cobbler, bread pudding, and beignets. The meal was one of the highlights of the week. We’ll certainly return on any future trips.

Wonderful food!!! We loved the shrimp creole and crawfish Acadian !!! To top off the dinner we had warm beignets. Do yourself a favor and try the bread pudding. You will be tempted to lick the bowl.

If you like authentic Cajun Food this is the place to go in the Branson area. It’s about a 15 minute drive from the Strip, but it’s a very scenic drive and well worth it too. As far as décor, it’s nothing fancy and what you would expect if this place was on the Bayou. I had the Crawfish étouffée which was amazing and worth the trip, a giant portion for about $ 10 bucks. I also had the mixed veggies which where also very good and they have really good corn bread too. I wish they had a larger drink selection, but you can bring your own beer and I assume wine too. The person who said they only have tea and water is not correct, they also have sodas too. The staff is also very friendly and you can sit inside or outdoor on the patio. Well done and I’ll be back on my next trip to Branson

Best Cajun food I have had north of Louisiana. The waitress was phenomenal, and she made recommendations that were great! Only two miles from Silver Dollar City, and definitely a place to go after a day at the park. Highly, highly recommend this place! Support the local restaurant and give it a try.

Very disappointed! Even my husband was disappointed and he loves Cajun! We asked for a table outside since the weather was nice, & got one… in a corner next to the kitchen. Pretty warm! The chairs were dirty plastic. The clincher for me was that they had bottled tea and bottled water only. And if you wanted more you pay extra… for everything, including the cornbread muffins! You might not think so much about that, except the prices were amazingly high for what you got! Food was good, but not that good.

We spent a week in Branson for a family reunion and this was our favorite meal that we ate! I would not change a single thing about this place. It was raining when we went, but we sat on the porch outside under the tin roof and it was perfect. The waitress was super friendly and efficient. Everyone loved their meal and the beignets were delicious – definitely order them for dessert. Some things do come in a to-go container, but the portions are so big that that just made it easier to take home the extras. If you’re in Branson, you should definitely stop by the«Citchen» for some amazing Cajun food! Ps. You can bring your own beer! Wish we would have known that before!

Went here for dinner with my gf, sister, brother-in-law, and 2 young nephews while on vacation. The atmosphere was very laidback, and the staff was very easygoing and friendly. We were invited to sit anywhere we wanted, and were promptly served drinks. Our waitress recommended the fries okra, which came out hot, and was good fried food. ¾ of us got the catfish Acadian, which was basically the ‘etwofay’ with a fried catfish filet. It was a ton of food, very hot, and delicious. For desert — which no one needed — we got the beniegts. They were amazing. The waitress was very friendly and talked with us while our food was prepared, and even recommended some sights to see. Finally, we got our bill, which was extremely inexpensive considering the amount of food, the taste, and the service. Best meal I’ve had in a touristy vacation town. Very pleasantly surprised.

CLOSEDFORSEASON Ok, so I wasn’t sure what to rate as they were actually closed for the season when we tried to go. Just wanted to let anyone else who looks on Unilocal know they needed to close early this season(October 2013) due to an illness in the family. I’m giving four stars based on the other impressive reviews and because I know I’ll be stopping in on our next visit to the area.

The food was good, and the owners were lovely. They have a minimal menu but the food on the menu is delicious. I was able to taste all of the food that came out because I was with family. There were four people at the table in four different dishes everything i tasted was good. I did indeed verify whether or not the owners were actual coon asses and they confirmed that they indeed were. We all left there feeling happy and satisfied about our lovely dining experience.
