Branson Plantation Inn

Great hotel for the price! My family stayed here for a week because it was on «the strip» close to the shows and a block away from White Water. Our room was clean though the beds were a bit stiff. The free breakfast was good (fruit, cereal & milk, eggs, biscuits & gravy, waffles, OJ). The staff were all friendly and polite. The hotel pool was on the small side, but then again there is a water park a block away. We had cable tv, a microwave, a safe, and a mini fridge in our room. Wifi and parking were both free. Our only complaint was we were on the 2^nd floor, we had to walk up and down a flight of stairs to get to the car. There is no elevator at this hotel so if walking stairs is difficult for you, make sure to get a ground level room.

The first thing you notice when you walk in to the rooms is what a freaking dump it is, and how much better the photos looked online. They were seriously glamour shots. The rooms smelled stale and old and just appeared dirty and gross. Walking on the carpet barefoot was a no-​no, because your feet felt sticky with each step you took. Disgusting. I tried turning on the TV, and it didn’t work. My parents adjoining room was just as repulsive. Their phone didn’t work. They had no towels. So we call to have these issues resolved, and after waiting about 40 min, someone comes up to fix the TV. He cant fix it, so he tells us he will get one from the room next door. He leaves and doesn’t come back. Finally after about 45 minutes we call to check on it again, and they tell us there is nothing they can do but give us a 10 dollar discount. For 2 nights stay without TV. Laughable, right? Oh, I also found a dirty old gas station cup peaking out from underneath the bed skirts. They clearly take a lot of pride in cleaning their rooms. It’s also worth mentioning that when my mom called to book the rooms, she was told they offer free WI-​fi and mini-​fridges in the rooms. Neither of these things were available to us. Needless to say, we are checking out in the morning. I really feel like we are going to need a good delousing after staying at this roach-​motel. I would give this place zero stars, or even negative stars, but it won’t let me save my review without it.
