The Comics Club

Opening their doors in 1989, this place has stood the test of time. And, with the Big Bang Theory making comic book collecting cool again, this place has the opportunity to flourish.
The Comics Club hosts a series of events including International Tabletop Day, Role Playing Game Day, Free Comic Book Day, and more. They also have an event Halloween night, loaded with door prizes, and will even host a costume contest.
They have comic books neatly organized and packed in containers, easily accessible. Whether you are a serious collector, an enthusiast, or just want to look, the comic book club may be for you. Aside from comic books, they have collectable toys, figures, and more. They have an online store full of gift items, you can find on their website. They also have a black issue comic book bargain every day, buy any two black issue comic books, and get a third of equal or lesser value free.
My daughter is seriously into superheroes, and comic books. This store is one of her favorites of all time!

Store owner is openly hostile towards independent comics and independent creators. Refuses to listen to reason even when talking about profit and contribution margins. Claims to have hidden insight into the independent comics industry despite having no specific instances to back up this stance. Does not attend conventions. If you can get past the owner’s rudeness, it looks like a good store to continue the Diamond distribution monopoly.

I moved here in October and was looking for a good comic shop and also a place to find boardgames… JACKPOT! The Comics Club is both. Dolly and Dwayne are very friendly and willing to help. They have become my LCBS. For subscribers they even give discounts, so stop by and setup a pull box.

Go here first or last on ur weekly hunts… very organized which make ur shopping easy. Well stocked with back issues as well.

Best Comic Shop in Hillsborough County. Great selection of back issues, new comics and graphic novels. Decent amount of silver age books too. Prices are fair on back issues as well. Owners are very courteous and helpful and are always fun to talk shop with. I miss my Friday afternoon visits — no longer live close enough to frequent.
