My father in law was buried using this place. They made promises they could not keep, said they made phone calls they did not(I checked). They also had the nerve to say that he, a decorated military man, did not earn a military burial. They forgot his rosary and cross on the day of the viewing and they did not make his hair look like the pictures. One the day of the burial, the funeral director said nothing to the family at all. This place made such a mess of my father in laws service. Our family was not happy with this funeral home and urge others, even in your time of loss to go elsewhere.

Michelle and Frank were very helpful to my sister and Mother after Dad passed, however the prices they charge are ridiculous! I showed up days after they had their first appointment with the Stowers team and my sister said she was quoted a price of $ 11,000, then it was about $ 9,000. I got town & let them know I’d do all the slideshows, videos, memorial table… etc. After they deducted all of those items from the package the price was still over $ 8,500! My sister was asking how could that be if we weren’t getting all of the packages items, providing our own flowers, the guestbook and possibly the casket too??? The other thing was I had been to this funeral home after HS for a friend’s service and when I walked into that same room — which hadn’t changed in 20 years — I couldn’t bear to go through that again. So, it worked out that we found a nicer, newer funeral home much closer to my folks’ home, for a much more reasonable price. Stowers is overpriced and the place hasn’t been updated in at least 20 years. Do yourself a favor and check some of the other funeral homes… it may be hard to do during your time of bereavement, but you’ll be happy you did. We sure are!

Went here to inquire about preplanning. When I scheduled the appt the man let me know he had an appt already scheduled in the afternoon and wanted to give make sure there would be plenty of time between that appt and mine. Well I arrived on time and he was not even on the property. The people in the office didn’t know anything about my appointment. They called his cell and he said he would be there as he was just a few minutes away. He arrived mor than 20 minutes late! I worked in sales and I can assure you I was never late for an appointment where I knew someone wanted to buy something from me. If I am running late for an appointment I always pick up the phone and let that person know, it’s called being respectful of others time and common courtesy.
