Had a great wine tasting experience here. The mulled wine and currant wine absolutely stunned me– never tasted anything like those before. The wine maker spent time oversees studying the wine making process– and it shows. He made our tasting experience extremely enjoyable and you could tell he enjoyed discussing his craft with customers. He also provided free snacks which came in very handy for our group. Bottle prices were on the high side(even with a 10% case discount) — otherwise I would have bought a case and given 5 stars for this review. Another great feature is that Foley Brothers brewery shares the same building– so if you’re up for a tasting both products it is very convenient. Looking forward to my next visit!

This review is actually for Foley Brother’s Brewing which is part of Neshobe River Winery. This was our third stop on our trip to VT. Three stops. Three breweries. This was going to be a very good trip. Obviously this place is a winery, but they have decided to get into beer too. I think the woman told us that they are still pretty new to brewing, but there is nothing wrong with that. They aren’t even on the VT beer map. That just makes coming here that much more enjoyable. It is like you are getting in on the ground floor of a stock that you know will make you a ton of money. The setting here seemed very genteel to me. I think there might have been some doilies. If not, there should have been. They have a tasting. You can do wine, or you can do beer. Or maybe you can do both. We did beer. A few they had to taste were a Ginger Wheat(bought a growler of that), an IPA and a Double IPA. For a pretty new brewery they were all very good.

I had a fantastic time here, I ate well(thanks to the homemade pizzas; my fave was the bacon avocado), I drank well(I love whites myself, but the Purple Haze can’t be missed) and laughed often(the family that owns it and their staff are incredibly friendly). Was fortunate enough to stay at the attached B&B(blueberry pancakes didn’t hurt either). Don’t miss a chance to visit the store a mile away in downtown Brandon to stock up on wines and a really great selection of meads.

This local winery is a family run vineyard and winery with a selection of great tasting wines.(love the Riesling and Traminette) They have an Homage to Jimi Hendrix with a Purple Haze and Foxy Lady that are both delicious. You can call ahead and get tours, or do I did, and beg and get a tour of the vineyard. I came on a Friday night and they had wood fired pizza going on, I highly recommend the Vermonter, it is out of this world!!! They have started making beer. It is good:) Stop by if you are in the area. It is the place to be on the weekend.
