I read the two other reviews and I was excited about this wax, but by the end I was running out of the room. I found Suji on Groupon, which was cool. The one room studio wasn’t a problem; it’s all in the hustle. Everything looked clean and the soothing music was nice. She uses soft wax and strips, which I was accustomed to even though I prefer the hard wax. This was the most painful wax I have EVER received! It felt worse than my first time three years ago. She would yank the first time then repeatedly try to pull out hair with the same strip. The continuous motion of the yanking of the strip was brutal. I was bleeding so much; I was in shock. When she was finally done she didn’t pull stray hairs with tweezers nor did she let me check with a mirror. She made me clean myself up and left wax all over me. I don’t know if she only treated me this way, but I will never return.

Sunji started on time and right away. The salon is a one room salon located upstairs. She was on time and did my Brazilian nicely including buttocks. You do have to hold your skin taut for her. And she gave me gloves to put on so I didn’t get wax on my fingers which was nice. Personally I do like the hard wax like at european wax center which she didn’t have but I’m so used to waxing that it wasn’t bad. She even gave me a mirror to see the final product to make sure I liked it. I also had my eyebrows threaded by her which I thought were awesome. She also finished it off with a cold stone massage. First time with cold stone and I liked it. It was cooling and refreshing. I highly recommend getting the eyebrow threading. Best I’ve had.

Suiji did an amazing job w my wax. She waxed my front & behind– I got the Brazilian wax. She does use soft wax fyi(I prefer hard but the soft was just fine). In my experience, you usually have to help the lady hold down parts of skin that she can’t while she pulls the strip, if not you’d have more skin stretching when she pulls the strip(ouchhhy). I was in and out, she did a great job. Maybe I’m use to waxing or she did a really good job bc my scale of pain 1 – 10 was a 4. I’ll deff be going back for my 2nd wax. For ladies that are new to waxing, it’s best you trim a little, the longer the hair the more pain you’ll be in. Also shower the day before and exfoliate your sweet spot. And the baby powder helps the wax not pull/stick/rip out your skin during the wax.
