I love this store. Must stop if you are en-route.

This use to be the better of the local Dairy Queens but the last 2 times we have gone they have become super cheap on what they make. If you ask for a topping of black cherries they give you a black cherry with a little of the sauce that comes with it. If you want a plain cone that’s fine but any ice cream that gets a topping or something mixed in FORGETIT!

The ice cream is consistent from one DQ to the next, so really, you’re rating the service. Every summer, my family drives out to PA for vacation at the lake house, and we ALWAYS stop in both directions when passing his DQ. We’ve never had a bad experience. The ice cream is delicious as usual, the service is always fast and courteous. Not sure what the other reviewer was beefing about, but we can always punt on this location to come through with the goods, quickly, any with a smile.

I would give Dairy Queen in general 4 or 5 for their awesome ice cream and ice cream creations and this particular location a 3 or 4, I’ll cut the difference and give them a 4. This spot is the smallest Dairy Queen I’ve ever seen, it’s the size of your typical road side ice cream spot with a couple picnic tables on the outside for sitting. The girl I had was nice but the hillbilly kid helping the guy next to me seemed a little rude and preoccupied. I also thought it was a bit weird that they didn’t have a napkin dispenser available for the customers and the girl working there had to ask if I wanted a couple napkins(little odd for a sit outside ice cream spot). Either way the ice cream was just as good here as any of their other prime locations and their location among a Stewart’s Rootbeer spot, a supermarket, and a Pizza spot means you can get a meal, get some shopping done and get a treat all without moving your car but still being sort of in the middle of no where.
