I danced at Dance Concepts for 15 years. I started when I was 3 and went all the way through high school. For anyone to stick with something that long says something about the place. Suzie is the lead teacher here — she and a couple of the other teachers are former Patriots cheerleaders, and they teach classes ranging all age groups(I believe they even have an adult tap class). They do tap, ballet, jazz, modern, etc., so there is something that every little girl will enjoy. They are super patient and make the classes fun. Once the girls get older, they arrange the classes by a combination of ability and age. I think they do a nice job of keeping people with their peers but also not going above their ability and frustrating them. I was not the most graceful, but I loved dancing, and even though I was not up to par with the best girls in my class, I was never teased or scolded for it, by the teachers or the other students. There is a recital every year, usually at a local high school, around Memorial Day. Not that I paid for it myself, but I think Suzie’s prices are very reasonable. She tried to limit the number of costumes parents would have to buy every year. I really loved my years dancing here — if you are looking for a dance school for your little girl I highly recommend Dance Concepts.
