Visiting here from Ft. Lauderdale & needed a pedi badly (summer vacation on beach = bare feet and flip flops)! Been almost 2 months! They did an exceptional job on nails and calluses, but the massage that went with it put it over the top!

I love the way my nails come out every time. Also very Pleasant workers and very clean.
So I go for my nails and pedicures.

Really love this place! It’s my go-​to nail salon. The location is convenient (right next to Peach’s on Manatee Avenue) and my nails look excellent every time. The thing with this place is it’s not «ritzy» or «spa-​like» at all. It’s a Mom & Pop place (literally it’s the same husband, wife, and grandmother working there everyday) so it’s not decorated in any impressive way. However, they are very skilled in their work and exceptionally clean. They even use new plastic liners in the pedicure chairs for each person that comes in! The price is crazy cheap, too. I get a French, shellac manicure & a pedicure for only $ 50 — cheaper than anywhere else around. Highly recommend!

My experience at this salon was horrible. The worst I’ve ever had. I chose this salon due to the fact that they had CND Shellac.
I was told to pick a color which was on a finger nail display. The actual shellac bottles are on a shelf behind the counter. Was rudely asked if I had my bottle but judging by the fact I was told to pick a number from the display I assumed they didn’t want me going behind the counter, so no I didn’t.
The man that did my manicure never told me his name. He literally never spoke to me. He made 6 of my fingers bleed. When someone asks for a specific product such as CND you should use the gel base coat and top coat as well. Not the OPI gel. They have a different chemical make up and can make it not cure correctly.
He massaged my fingers and wrist so hard I pulled my arm away and told him to skip the massage. My cuticles stung for hours afterwards. He never apologized for hurting me or making me bleed. They were just rude and too rough.

The first visit was awesome. The second visit was horrible. The horrible was more recent and was pretty horrible — So they get 2 stars.
There are things that we all like from a nail salon. Some are more important than others. Here are somethings that you might want to know about…
* They are probably the cleanest salon I have been do. They even change the tub liners on pedicures.
* They massage chair is awesome and easier to use.
* They were really harsh and didn’t stop until I Unilocaled. They really want to get in there.
* I got custom art both times. The first time was super cute snow men. The second time was meh palm tree — there was too much there, so you couldn’t tell what it is.
* They didn’t try to get remove my calluses, as much as they just made them smooth. my feet itched afterwards.
* The woman I got was lovely, but didn’t understand anything that I was asking for. She talked with the other gentleman to translate, which is fine. However, she wouldn’t ask for help immediately, she would make you repeat yourself five times and then asked her coworker in a way that made me feel like I shouldn’t ask questions. After awhile, I didn’t want to try to ask for anything and I felt uncomfortable with the experience.

Don’t think anyone should leave a nail salon with bloody fingers and a toe! Enough said.

Why did I wait so many years to start having pedicures??? It feels so good! Jen & Leo run such a nice shop.

Exceptional services. Leo’s pedicures are meticulous and indulgent. The attention to detail and cleanliness of this salon is second-​to-​none. I have sent countless clients and friends here, and I highly recommend them!

I have been coming to TJ Nails since they opened. I have also recommended people to come here. Excellent service. I buy gift certificates for birthdays and Christmas too.

First time using AJ Salon… it’s really nice in there. Very modern, contemporary, clean and the staff is very genuine and sweet. I will definitely go back to them. Though little expensive.

Okay I have to admit I’m a bit of a nail snob. Perfect manicures and pedicures are a MUST in my book. I moved to bradenton last summer and so disappointed that I have yet to find a nail place here that does nails the way I like them. If I can do a better job myself at home that’s not acceptable. Finally found this place, my hands came out pretty good, toes were good too except for they always cut my big toenail so short that it just didn’t look good. But whatever it’s the best one in town so I continued to go. I walked in an hour and a half before they closed one day and the wife of the owner rudely told me she had no time for me today. She didn’t apologize or ask me to come in the next day she just said «we can’t do you today we are too busy» with a nasty face. well fine, I turned my happy butt around and never came back. If you’re going to go ask for the guy and make an appointment and make sure he doesn’t cut your nails too short. Also try the orange pedicure, it was nice. I however don’t feel like giving my money to someone who treats customers that way.

Made an appointment for a pedi and basic mani. They were ready for me when I arrived, however there was no welcoming at all and other than a few grunts as to where I was supposed to sit there was no exchanges at all.
The pedi and mani were performed by a man. He was rough and brusque and I now have bandages on two fingers and a toe where he cut my cuticles to the point of bleeding. I will not go back. Very disappointed; nothing special here at all.

Nope. Not coming back here again. I’ve given them a few times and they have never gotten my nails right. To top it off I forgot my rings. When I called the salon they told me to come and pick them up. However, when I get there they can not find them. I had to wait 30 minutes for someone to come back. I tried calling the owners to find out where they are located but they would not answer. So much for customer service…

TJ and his wife are great. Its a small place, family owned. What I like the most about this spot is their focus on cleanliness. They use liners for the Pedi chairs and all implements are opened from sealed sanitary bags before each service. The spa is quiet with relaxing music in the background. You need to make an appointment if you want a specific time because they get booked up and they are small. Thank you for the great pedicure! See you soon!

Visiting from California and stopped in here for the orange pedicure. By far the best pedicure I have ever had! They did an amazing job and everything in the salon is clean and comfortable. Instruments are also sterilized which is a huge plus. Highly recommend this place!

One of the best pedicures I’ve gotten in a while. It was so thorough and relaxing. The staff is extremely nice and the salon is very clean. Will definitely go back again.

Great quality service at a local mom and pop nail salon.
If you can look past a few things like that the complimentary beverages are in a plastic cup or that there isn’t a giant tv to watch, well then this is your place. Each tub had a fresh basin cover that keeps the tub sanitary for pedicures.
Suggestions:
Ask the owner for the wifi password.
The orange pedi is refreshing and worth it.

Call ahead to make sure waxing is available.

They were friendly enough. The place looked new & clean. They had a nice selection of polishes & services. Complimentary beverages were nice. The orange pedi was unusual & smelled good. Their foot spa tubs are pretty cool too. My daughter, sister & I all went at the same time & got 3 quality pedi’s.

LOVED! I was in town from San Francisco and have been to many nail salons across the country… by far, this is one of the cleanest! The owners are extremely friendly and go above and beyond! Not to mention, the orange pedicure lasts for so long and my shellac manicure looks amazing! I do not typically write reviews, but TJ Nails was worth it! I definitely recommend and will go back every time I’m in town.
