The Surfin Plumbers

BEWARE!!! Do NOT call this company unless you have a big bank account that you don’t mind giving up! We are seniors on a small fixed income and were charged $ 233.00 to fix a shower faucet that was leaking.(the company claims this is a standard book rate charge for our problem regardless of how long it takes to fix it) It took the tech all of 5 minutes and he was done. After the fact, when we knew what part was needed, we looked it up on the internet and found out the part was $ 26.60 direct from Moen. The service call was supposedly free so that means they charged $ 206.00 labor for 5 minutes. That figures out to be $ 2472 an hour for labor! RIDICULOUS!!! Can anyone reccomend a plumber for future problems that charges Reasonable rates?
