Tacos Al Tamirano

Tacos Al Tamirano has been in this location for almost a year if not longer. The location is very convenient for me at lunchtime, since I work in the area. They are pretty much always open, even on New Years Day. The truck appears to be a permanent installation on the left of the Samoset Meat Market. On 15^th Street, there are at least 8 – 15 tacos trucks open for lunch on weekdays. In my opinion, this is the highest concentration of taco food trucks in Tampa Bay.
The tacos at this specific location are $ 1.50 each for the Mexican style tacos, strictly onion, cilantro, and lime. Any more toppings than that and you are getting into gringo territory and you might as well go to Taco Bell at that point. There is also a photo menu posted on the side of the truck, and they even have hamburgers so don’t be scared.
My favorite meat of choice is the pastor, but you might be limited to whatever meats they have at any given time. There is usually a lunch special posted (5 tacos and a drink for $ 6.00). I am a fatty and I eat about three tacos in one sitting, so five tacos may be pushing it for most people. When the owner asks you if you want spicy sauce or house sauce, say yes. It comes on the side, and you can thank me later.
