I have been in 3 times. On my most recent visit I was not impressed at all. Food preparation area was a mess. Two employees behind the counter we’re not concerned with customer service and seemed to be in a hurry. The prices are entirely too high for what I received. I don’t think I’ll be back. Im struggling to find something positive to add to the review, but I’m unable. Don’t believe the hype of this place!

OMG not good. or party was two adults two kids. we got 6 tacos a quesadilla and chips. came to $ 49.85 are you kidding me? We will not be back. the taste was ok but not great. the quesadilla was so well done it was crunchy. the tacos were swimming in liquid. I dont really know where they get the mexican idea. I believe that they are trying to tag along with a natural organic trend. anyway i dont think it works.

I’m only giving 4 stars because the last 3 times I have went at lunch time to get my poppo’s taco’s they have been out of carnitas. Which is the reason I love coming here. I love the baby bowl, quesadillas I add feta cheese with the carnitas which is great. But I went in around 11:45 and how do you run out of your most popular meet before lunch time…

Noticed this place had 4⁄5 stars before coming here to eat. Then, I ordered a «big bowl» & my buddy ordered a burrito. Total came to $ 25+. Nearly everything u add to ur order costs extra(i.e. Guacamole, lime slaw, sour cream, etc.). Place had a single $ rating. Not even close! Food tasted ok at best. Definitely not what I’d call Mexican food tho. More like Chipotle style food, which is NOT Mexican &NOT cheap. Expected so much better. Oh btw, my buddy’s married to a Mexican. If ur looking for spice in the spicy beef, look somewhere else.

The food was very good, but unorganized. Had to line up and stand waiting til they cooked my quesadilla. why wouldn’t they take the order, and the money and give me a # like Panera and someone deliver the food. Wouldn’t go back for this reason.

It was my first time eating at Poppo’s Taqueria as this place just opened not too long ago. I was a bit taken aback by the high prices. I figured for the price I would probably get more food than their other more well known competitors, but I was wrong. I was still hungry after finishing my burrito and usually I am unable to finish my burrito in one sitting. The flavors were pretty good, but nothing to write home about.

Having been back in Florida for only two weeks, we’ve already tried two different Mexican restaurants(one hole in the wall local joint, and one that’s better known around town). Coming from Hawaii creates a serious craving for good, solid Mexican food due to the lack of anything resembling that back on the island. First off, it’s organic. Like legit. No seriously. We asked for chips and pico and the lady(whom I presume was the manager) took fresh corn tortilla and fried them right in front us. They were absolutely delicious, and it was by far the best we’ve had. I ordered two regular tacos, the name not doing it justice, and it had pork, cilantro, red onion, a little hot sauce, along with limes to do with them as you please. Best tacos I’ve had for freaking five dollars! Unbelievable! I added rice and beans as my side(see picture). The sides are plenty to share on their own so I know now that a side of rice and beans is too much for me which is absolutely not a bad thing. I wasn’t familiar with this place so you can call it taking a late night risk, but I’m incredibly happy we went. This will certainly be a go to for me moving forward. I probably won’t even bother looking for other Mexican restaurants now that I know this place exists! It’s healthier than dozens of other quick eat options, and it’ll leave you with a full belly but still feeling good!

The best Poppo’s location, hands-down. We are always greeted and remembered, and the food quality is second to none. It is always worth the wait and we eat here almost weekly! Get the Poppo’s Tacos they are the best!

We love Poppos! The food is fresh, the portions are large. And you leave feeling full but still light. Good ingredients and great taste. In my opinion there’s no reason to go to Chipotle or Qdoba when you have the option of Poppos. Try their Quesadilla it’s a very different take on it. I recommend some lime on it. Also, they have great vegetarian options with tempeh that is excellent!

NOTYOURAVERAGECHOOSE-YOUR-MEALADVENTURE Steamed Kale, Feta Cheese, and a sweet Slaw can be added to your Burrito, Taco, or Quesadilla? Insane! Local Craft Beer? Local Craft Soda(containing natural Sugar) in the soda fountain machine? YES! Aaaaaand with similar prices to other choose-your-entrée places. THEFLAVORSWORK Authentic Mexican cuisine it’s not BUT with a fresh, Cali twist. The crunch of the sweet Slaw provided contrast to the well-seasoned, soft Tempeh. Carnitas also not too salty. Onions and Cilantro peeked through perfectly. The Pico De Gallo tasted fresh. Two Tacos started to fill me up and my added Chips was just overkill. And those craft Sodas? Great! ALTHOUGHTHESURROUNDINGSAREKINDAAVERAGE Located in a tiny plaza just off the main Publix plaza, there’s not much design outside. Inside it feels more like a typical, modern-and-steel design(similar to Chipotle) very clean with lots of chalk menus. Although it wasn’t expected, I liked how the ladies cleaning the store offered to take away my finished baskets.

I tried this place for the first time Sunday evening. I’ve been back Monday and Wednesday afternoons. If that doesn’t tell you how much I love it, I don’t know what will! Delicious food, «different» toppings and styles of food, and really cool décor. I’m a huge fan and would recommend this to everyone!

Tried the Carnitas Burrito, bland, insipid, tasteless Tons of calories & almost zero taste Nice décor though, more urban style than Chipotle but we won’t return Tons of parking & located in the shopping plaza between Pier 1& Marshalls

I gave only 3 stars cause it was a bit pricy for a taco place they say it’s organic place is clean and people r helpful to be fair they do have some other items like burritos n quesadilla s(careful they charge xtra for some toppings. Don’t get me wrong everything tasted good. You judge for yourself

Think chipotle or Moes. That is the concept of this place. It isn’t what I think of when I think taqueria. When I think taqueria I think hole in the wall mom and pop place. You know what I’m talking about. This is a chain. The tacos I had were really good, though. They were the classic carnitas tacos.

I seriously love this place. You can tell that all the food is made fresh! I love the spicy beef. It’s soooo delicious and it’s really good in a bowl. I love the chips and guacamole. The chips are made fresh to order and you can totally tell. Would recommend

Thought we would try this place because of all the great reviews. Never having been there before we tried Poppos taco with carnitas. Not much meat and everything was wet. By the time we got it to the table, the taco was sitting in a sea of juice. The so called, green hot sauce was not hot, slimy and no flavor. Standing in line we checked other meat selections and the other ingredients, nothing looked appealing. Almost $ 10.00 for two, little 6 inch tacos and one drink. Way overpriced. Will not return.

Poppos– lets taco about it! We have been waiting for this place to open for quite some time and we could not be more happy. The organic meats, vegetables, guacamole, salsa, and everything in between is absolutely fabulous. This place goes above and beyond to really prove that it totally organic and local experience is possible even in burrito form. Not to mention the burritos, the tacos, and the bowls are one of the best if not the best around. Their chips are made from scratch right there on the spot and brought to your table within minutes of your order. Their guacamole is absolutely great whether you’re getting it in a bowl or as a side with their fresh made chips. We will be back, as we have already frequented this location over five times since it opened two weeks ago. I am delighted that this restaurant has made its way into our neighborhood it makes a great addition.
