We went to Lake Manatee State Park hoping to bicycle around, but there were very few paths — most were foot traffic only, so we were very disappointed. The website made the park sound like there were more paths than actually existed for bicyclists. However, if walking or camping is your goal, this park may work well for you.

I like this park. Nice trails, but make sure you make the most of it, the entrance is $ 5. Nice access to the river, but I wish the park were a little bit larger, to allow for longer trails. Noise from the nearby stone quarry is annoying.

Another hidden gem! A beautiful park that is kept in pristine condition by the Rangers, full of wild flowers and has just the right balance of wilderness and modern comforts. The camping area is very nice, the trails are well done and the lake is gorgeous with a boat ramp that is just right. This is a great spot for fun for a day, a weekend or longer. Beautiful!
