What a great group of people and doctors. The staff on the second floor are so friendly and sweet… if you have to see a doctor this is a great place.
The electronic portal system and call back is very efficient.

I have been Dr. Michael Bentze’s patient for the past 8 years. During this time, I have had an unfortunate number of medical setbacks, requiring 6 surgeries, 2 inpatient hospitalizations, and all sorts of other problems. In short, I’ve been rather unlucky, except for one thing: Dr. Michael Bentze has been my physician «quarterback» throughout it all. Not only does he carefully think my complex medical issues through, but he takes the time to really listen to all parts of what is happening in my life and how it interplays with my health. He’s the kind of physician who, when you’re speaking to him, makes you feel like you’re the only person in the world that matters at that moment. Dr. Bentze is also willing to go the extra mile, helping to coordinate with specialists and home care agencies, etc. It helps, as well, that he has a fantastic sense of humor.
This review would be incomplete without also giving props to his nurse, Sarah, who is extremely kind and non-​invasive. She’s always willing and eager to help whenever she can. And she, too, has a wonderful sense of humor.
As for Intercostal Medical Group as a whole, they’re a big company and they’re experiencing a few growing pains, just like any large expanding practice is in this day and age. However, they do a wonderful job of keeping things like laboratory services and medical diagnostics in-​house, and as a frequent-​flier, that’s a big deal to me. I’d much rather be able to have my blood drawn by an excellent phlebotomist in my doctor’s office than have to go to one of those unfriendly vampire places.
In sum, I feel exceptionally grateful for all the care I’ve received at IMG, and especially from Dr. Bentze. I highly recommend him.
