This place is strange… my husband had a 9am appt for 2 weeks… the night before the appointment he got several calls, one from a female reminding him and telling him he had a $ 60 copay… and told him not to eat… then he got a call from another female reminding him and telling him he had a $ 25 copay. this am at 8:20 he gets another call telling him they need to move his appt up to 1pm and he can eat… now at 10:15 he gets another call from someone else asking him why he didn’t come at 9am… What the heck… think they have some issues

I don’t know if this is a new business or not, but I am surprised there are no reviews for it yet. I saw a sign in my doctor’s office for Bowes Imaging Center and the sign mentioned a $ 40 mammogram. Things like that are often only through referral, but I was driving by later in the day and decided to pop in and ask about the $ 40 mammogram. Low and behold, I was asked if I wanted to do the test right then and there! Why, yes, why not, I have the time now and this is mighty convenient. I filled out a few forms and was ushered in quickly. The results will be sent to my regular doctor, but if you don’t have a doctor, the results will be sent to one of their outside doctors for you to follow up with. I don’t know if there is an additional charge to the patient for that outside referral to find out the results, but the patient can also stop back in to the office for the results a few days after the mammogram. I was impressed at how easy they made the process and the fact I was able to do this exam as a walk in. I have it on my list of ‘things to do’, but trying to get in to see a doctor to get the referral to get the test done somewhere else has just become a tedious chore and I’ve been putting it off. This works a lot better for me and anyone else with a full schedule who doesn’t have all day to sit around in various doctor’s offices trying to get stuff done. You don’t even need insurance for this $ 40 mammogram– you can self-pay the $ 40 bucks. My insurance company covers it and they can verify your insurance prior to you having the exam. $ 40 is a great deal for an annual mammogram, so take them up on their offer and check them out. They were fast and efficient and got me in right away and a walk in, a lot faster than the other services I have used in the past where I had an appointment and still ended up waiting an hour and a half to get the exam. Bowes has streamlined the process and made it affordable and fast. There is no excuse not to have this important test done, so go do it!
