Paradise Boat Tours

Captain Sherman and Roxanne created the perfect environment for a really enjoyable tour. They were knowledgeable, funny and engaging. Our three boys (16, 18 and 21) were like little kids again –they had a blast. It’s a worthwhile way to spend a couple of hours — you’re certain to leave with some new knowledge and smiles on your faces.

On a recent family vacation we were talked into taking a boat tour. Although it sounded cheesy we were looking for some way to entertain the kids. Captain Sherman and his First Mate (Roxanne) were both knowledgeable and entertaining. The Dolphins were plentiful and the views were spectacular. We’ve vacationed in Long Boat Key for years but learned more about the area in 90 minutes than we ever learned on our own.
The four adults were entertained and the 4 kids had something to talk about the rest of the trip. Not only did they see a manatee up close, they also saw several pods of dolphins. Captain Sherman even managed to do a bit of teaching and conservationism as he talked about protection and respecting our ecosystem. He lived the lesson as he and his first mate scooped out any debris we encountered on our tour.

Our boat tour with Captain Sherman and Doctor Dauphin was about as pleasant as we could have wished for. The weather cooperated, our Captain always let us know what to expect, and the wildlife really delivered with lots of sightings. Along with interesting facts and tidbits about the Gulf, the dauphins, and manatees, I’d say the trip was perfect. I highly recommend this boat and crew. You’ll leave the boat with a smile.

I have three girls and they absolutely had a blast. Shermie (captain) has a pure love for this job, it shows in the excitement in his voice and actions during the boat ride. He is excellent with children and is absolutely a wonderful well knowledgeable captain. He made all of my girls feel special and for that I appreciate forever. Next time we come back to AMI we will pay a visit again.
Don’t forget to bring a small cooler and load it up with water and some beer … He allows :)

Prove was fare– on time– took us around the bay to see Dolphins and manatees. There was a marine biologist on staff as 1^st mate to explain things. They took the boat into the gulf a bit, nice clear waters. Both captain Sherman and 1^st mate Chris were polite and friendly to all on board. You can reserve online and pay the day of!

Just call him Shermie for me! This fella, the captain of the ship, has a flair of laid back attitude with Richard Dreyfuss mannerisms and gives a lil kick to your not so everyday boat tour of the bay. He can range from cheesy funny to having you laugh for reals. It truly was a pleasure to go on one of his tours and you can tell its not a canned experience, rather ebbs and flows with the group he is taking. Oh ya, and his tour is great and you will get to see some aquatic life, Shermie likes to catch up with dolphins like a leprechaun chases rainbows… he’ll get you there!

The regular boat was out of service and instead we got a navy vessel. It was so hard for the kids to see the water and the dolphins. I wish we knew before we got started the boat was gonna be so deep and and hard to see. I have been on tons of dolphin tours with the kids and they have been so close jumping in the waves and on this one we saw back fins at best. For $ 260 I wish we had rented our boat for a few hours.

Absolutly LOVED the tour and the crew. Captain Sherman was great with everyone and let the kids drive the boat. We saw TONS of dolphins and the crew was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. We actually had 4 dolphins ride our wake, they were jumping in and out of our wake it was AWESOME. Would absolutely recommend to not only families but couples or anyone looking for a good time!

Had a great time in our tour with Capt. Sherman, my son was thrilled to drive the boat and beep the horn. It was a peaceful trip around he bay with my family, this is a very family friendly tour.
Our tour was delayed by a group that was stuck in traffic, I thought it was great that we waited, but was also eager to get out. This didn’t cut into our tour time at all.
I just wished we had better luck with seeing more dolphins, we only saw a couple of them. We did enjoy seeing the birds and trolling around the bay. I can’t wait to take this your again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour today! We saw multiple dolphins and wildlife. And learned a little about the history of the area. The Captain and his assistant were great. Even let my little drive the boat! I would highly recommend!

My mother in law and I went on the tour. We had such a great time. We learned some new info about the waters and the captain and crew were great. They were very friendly and entertaining.
