First timers to this new discovery. If you like French food you will not be disappointed. Everything we had for our table of 4 was perfectly cooked. Each of us had a different main course and all were done to perfection. Only one minor thing that could help in the future. As I am a stickler for food served hot to medium in temperature, the plates should have been warmed before serving, otherwise no complaint. Keep up the good food and service and much sucess for a long time in business.

What a surprise! Walking down the sidewalk to the trolley I saw this place, looked in and it was PACKED! The owner only accepts 50(people) reservations per night, so make a reservation two days in advance. They moved here from Provence three years ago. Get the mussels, enjoy the«in-house» bread, and choose from a small, but varied, menu. The grouper with a mango slice on top was excellent. Yes, the desserts are«in-house,» also… and also wonderful. A nice side… the woman who runs the front room is the chef’s wife. How he got her off the Paris modeling runway to Anna Maria IS a mystery

This is a quaint family owned resturant. The food is fantastic, the French couple who runs it works very hard and we had one of the best meals here in the Sarisota area. It’s a true treasure and I sure they will always be very busy.

Our party of six really enjoyed this unique restaurant. Excellent food & friendly service. The mussels and shrimp were delicious. I had the grouper with mango sauce– two of my favorite foods. Very fresh grouper cooked perfectly. Delicious bread made fresh. Could use a few more salad & entre offerings. Unfortunately we didn’t have room for desert.

What a wonderful find! Every bite from the fresh walnut bread and the warm goat cheese to the mussels and the duck was delicious and authentic. The ambience and service were delightful, which is not that obvious from the outside. Kudos to the chef — don’t miss out on this hidden treasure!

We enjoyed this restaurant immensely. Delicious duck and mussels. The waitress(owner I think) was delightful and the service was surprisingly quick. We shall be back repeatedly!

I had a wonderful time here! I sat by the window and got to watch the sunset along with some great people watching. The owners are fantastic and they make you feel like you’re eating in their kitchen at home. Loved the onion soup, bread, and entrées all paired with a great bottle of wine. I will definitely come back!

Wonderful husband and wife team making this tiny restaurant work… food was excellent, service, for only having one person waitressing was attentive and stellar. I had the grilled mussels, followed by the beef, both were made to order and hot… both were delicious, and perfect for dipping the crusty bread into. I’ve been coming down to Sarasota for many years, and this is one of the best meals I have had in a long time! Reservations are recommended… Bordeaux wine was also a perfect pairing to the meal…

One week on Siesta Key. One week on AMI. This was our BEST meal. This is truly a family affair. Opened with mussels and goat cheese salad. For entrée had chicken special with white wine and mushroom sauce and the carbonara. Also ordered a side of the gratin potatoes. Out of this world meal. Their coffee was even outstanding. Dessert was caramel flan. An absolutely delectable meal all around.

Nice place and good service but the food did unfortunately not live up to our expectation. The french onion soup(not on the regular menu) was weak in taste and colour. And the fish with mango sauce had the mango completely over powering the fish. Best were the moule which can be recommended.

Tres bien. Can’t say enough about the cozy restaurant, wonderful hosts and incredible food. Don’t be deceived by the outside. We almost walked by but so thankful we didn’t. It felt like a home cooked meal prepared by our friends from France. The décor is eclectic, warm and comfortable. The food is authentic, mouthwatering and beautifully presented. The French Table is family owned and operated. Try the mussels with fries. So good! Such a special evening.

Came in searching the streets of Anna Maria for desserts, kudos for being the only restaurant open after 9 pm! A more satisfying dessert would be hard to match my molten chocolate lava cake as well as the homemade flan. I can still taste the homemade rich caramel it was under. Great french music, kind staff. Perfect end of my 26th birthday. Wish I stayed one day longer to try an entrée!

Wow!!! Best experience here for a restaurant in Anna Maria island. Homemade food. The duck is excellent, the wine is superb, the attention is amazing and the ambiance is like none other. The atmosphere is like being in the French Mediterranean. A must visit place when visiting the island.

Small family owned and operated restaurant with cozy ambiance and phenomenal food. Even though we were a large group that came sometimes be difficult to accommodate in small town restaurant they made space for a group and attended to us as if we were part of the family. The recommended wine was excellent and the duck and carbonara were delicious! By far the best experience we had this weekend in Anna Maria Island. Will definitely be back!

Worst meal i’ve had in the Sarasota area Seated 30 minutes late and then left at the table with no water, silverware, napkins, bread. Had to wave arms in the air to get the owner/server’s attention to order wine. Tacky place with paper napkins and no tablecloths. Owner is a lovely woman who NEEDS to hire help. She was running herself ragged and providing the worst service I’ve had in a restaurant for a long time. We stayed because of the reviews and word of mouth that the food was outstanding. Ha. Mediocre is extremely generous. Crevettes appetizer sounded nice, but it was basically a grapefruit with a few unseasoned raw vegetables and 3 overcooked shrimp on top. Mussels appetizer super-garlicky and also overcooked. The duck breast was way too chewy and the sauce was sacharin-sweet. Great haricot vert wrapped in bacon, though. The beef dish was bland, completely under seasoned. Let me re-iterate that the owner was trying. She just doesn’t know how to run a restaurant and she needs to hire staff and not use her children(maybe 14 and 7 years old). They probably need an extra hand in the kitchen as well.

The absolute best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. I want to go back again today! The Grilled Mussels were wonderfully aromatic. Filled with garlic, parsley and olive oil. The Duck was served in a rich Demi glaze with haricots vert, fresh sautéed carrots and potatoes gratin. The meal was amazing and you can tell that the French couple who own the place puts a lot of LOVE into their food. You won’t want to miss engaging with the wife. She’s just lovely. Put it on you list as a must try! Oh… this is France… don’t be in a hurry!

So I have to give this a 3. None of which has to do with the quality of the food. And before you think the service was bad, please read. 1st of all, food rocked. If you like French, go! Now for the experience, I called to ask if they could take a party of 5. They said yes, we went. I know better to stay at a restaurant that doesn’t get a drink out right away but I stayed because the food smelled great. Needless to say the drinks to 20 minutes. The meal took over an hour to get to the table and when they served my food they actually presented me with something other than I ordered. It was not a mistake, they just didn’t have what I ordered but after 1hr 20 minutes, that should have not happened. Also, they needed to let me know rather then just serve me something else. Maybe the worst move is the charged me for the meal the I didn’t order, I have have never been charged. I would have said something but I was with company. The issue was it was run by a husband-and-wife and those are the only two people working tonight. They were pleasant apologize for the wait but it just wasn’t justified. Hire for more people so that there are two people on the front of the house and two people in the kitchen doll times. Food was great!

Absolutely fantastic French Food! I honestly think this new place is one of the best on Anna Maria Island. We had the Grouper Tartare and it was to DIE for. The Beef Provecal(braised) was excellent, and so was the duck. The au gratin potatoes MAY have been the best thing we ate. For desert we had the tiramisu and it was perfect. They have transformed the place too — it really is beautiful, and my favorite new place.
