Wonderful food, service and view! We will be back for sure. Highly recommend the stuffed grouper!

Just flat out disappointed…
DO NOT SIT at the bar.
You are not a priority to the bartenders.
They are swamped filling orders at the service bar.
Kids will be sitting with you at the bar with their parents as they wait for an open seat… isn’t that relaxing :)
Oddly, when you walk in it appears like a sophisticated place to hang and eat, contrary to the other restaurants nearby, but don’t be fooled… it’s ALL a façade.
Poor, lack of attentive service and the food was just, ok… I asked for blackened salmon and got a VERY lightly blackened salmon.
I’m STILL sitting here with my credit card and dinner bill in front of me waiting to pay.

Great atmosphere and right on the water. Amazing sunset view. Good service and drink menu. Local sourced veggies and fresh from the Gulf fish. The blackened Cobia was amazing and of all things Hog Fish was on the menu that night. The Pumpkin risotto was good and fresh tomato salad. I would recommend anyone who is staying in the area to make this a stop for dinner. Also a live singer guitar player playing all your requests and little kids dancing on the sand is always cute. This place is very family friendly.

You come here for the atmosphere and view. That is 5 stars. Otherwise this is 3 stars. The food is okay, but not fantastic. Service is friendly and okay. Drink selection is good and not too bad of a price, although a little weak.

The beach house has a great view of the ocean, the food is very expensive, comes out cold, the waitress was slower than a turtle since her tip was automatically added to the bill, I ordered the special which was wild boar, advertised as tender and delicious, it was dry and tougher than a rubber boot! If you must go to the beach house skip the food and order a bottle of overpriced beer! Maybe they won’t be able to mess that up, Maybe

We went there last Saturday for lunch and the location is great. The food was pretty good too and so was the cocktail but I can only give it 2 stars because of the extremely rude hostess. We were a larger group and were ok with being seated apart but before our second group could even sit down, the table next to us opened up. So we went to the hostess preparing another table real quick and asked if our other group could be seated next to us and OMG she was not prepared. Her name is Cassandra I will never go there because of her. She was beyond rude to me and my other friends that tried after I failed. She had the biggest attitude and didn’t want to deal with us at all (and all we asked is if the rest could sit at the open table next to us). She made quite the scene, all other customers around there noticed and looked.
None of us will ever be going back there. Too bad but I cannot deal with another Cassandra there again.

We stopped in for a quick bite before heading back home. It’s beachside so it’s win, win! Amazing view
Recommended choices. The fish dip was amazing, it has that smokey flavor a fish dip should have. Had the mango mojito which was good too. Had the grouper sandwich (fried) and that was delicious! Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Excellent sunset view!!! This place is exactly what I was looking for, good food, great sunset view. As a bonus, there was live music! Wonderful experience, the food was not to die for amazing, but hit the spot and tasted good. I would return in a heartbeat for that amazing sunset dining!

We have visiting the Beachouse for years, still good, love that it has been updated, they were able to try to duplicate the Sunset salad from the old menu, not the same missing some key ingredients but it was still good, we miss the old menu, but still a must do

Well — I wanted to love this place. Obviously, the location is fantastic. We sat outside for an early dinner. Had hoped for a great sunset, but the rain came in. That was also rather exciting to watch and be a part.

The wait staff was pleasant and accommodating. We were quite particular about our margaritas that night. They said they used fresh squeezed lime juice so we were excited — just how we like them. Well, no. No they didn’t. It had to be bottled lime concentrate. They were so sour we added agave nectar. Really not good. The waiter worked with us and tried to make us happy tho.
The food was just okay. We ordered grouper: it was fresh and prepared well. We also had the focaccia. It was piled high with goodies but was again — just okay.
We’d go back for a sunset and great views of the water. For food, we’d stick with a simple piece of fish and a glass of wine.

Man! Amazing! I have been here too many times and I just keep coming back.
If you can, P L E A S E sit outside! the view is phenomenal, especially at sunset! The hanging lights and the live music during the evening creates such a warm and relaxed ambiance.
For starters, the bread. the BREAD. mixed with the spread they provide– I would return just for the bread alone. Moving onto entrée’s, they are a bit on the pricey side, but their portions are large and their food is amazing so I would say that it is understandable. However, because their portion sizes are too much for me; I would rather opt out of spending $ 22 on an entrée and just settle for an appetizer. My go-​to is ordering the coconut shrimp appetizer as my meal. I usually can’t even finish it because I’m already full! that equals about $ 12 I believe. I am not a fan of coconut AT ALL. but my friend insisted on me trying their coconut shrimp and now that is all I can eat! Another amazing item on the menu is their clam chowder. super creamy with a perfect balance of clams and potatoes!
The customer service is friendly and the restaurant is always clean as could be. Whenever anyone comes down to visit me I always take them to the beach house! ¹⁰⁄₁₀ recommend!

I have been here several times and usually have a great experience but a group of five for brunch… We showed up around 11 and it’s now 1 pm. Still no food, place is half full and the waiter has been rude. Horrible experience, once the food arrived it was not great fish was dry and there was no blackened flavor.

I am a Sarasota native and have eaten at the Beach House Restaurant many times. I had a cousin visiting and he wanted to eat at a waterfront restaurant so we picked the Beach House. Neither of us were impressed with the service and the food was just so so.
It has been about a year since I have eaten there. They have just finished a complete remodel and the place looks great. Maybe the service and food with catch up.

FISH TACO’s fresh! The mango salsa on it!?! Lordy Jesus it was GOOD! The setting was awesome. Though most places in AMI have great views. The conch fritters were great also. The wife and I always visit this place when we are in AMI. Though I need to branch out. All I order are their FISH TACOs.

My favorite place for sunset on Florida’s gulf coast. But don’t just show up for sunset. Anytime is great because the food is so good!
The shining star of the Beach House is definitely its location. It sits right on the white sand beach with panoramic views of the gulf and amazing sunsets.
I’ve been there half a dozen times for drinks and/​or dinner and I’ve always had a great experience. Service was good for a place that can be very busy, especially around sunset. Every meal has been top notch. I even liked their kale side, and I usually hate kale!
I’ve been to most of the restaurants in the area and none of them have been as consistent or good as the Beach House. I usually end up saying” Damn. Why didn’t we go to the Beach House”

I have been to Beach House Restaurant many time. It has not disappoint me. The restaurant alway has season menu that attract me. After renovation, the restaurant look a lot nicer if you have not been back on the interior dinning.
Today we were seat at beach side. Below is sand and the weather is very comfortable. Have a drink while wait for lunch. Most of my projects are near here, so I know about this area quite well. If you want to have the business lunch, cannot be wrong to select this place. They have the inside and outside seating.
During the weekend, they have live music at the outside. It is good to have a beer and enjoy the sunset.
Today I have the grilled grouper with grilled veggies. The grouper is very fresh and you can taste the sea. We also have the stone crab for appetizer. The service is great in this place. It is very pleasant to be here.

If you’re at Anna Maria and wanting to enjoy a laid back meal, with a beautiful view of the beach, or sunset this is the spot. We ate here a few times, I had the burger, my wife the fish, another time I tried the chicken and my wife got a salad. It’s all pretty good, and the service was great too. Our waiter was a guy in his late 20s who was awesome, took great care of us, and even got us to try the key lime pie.
The burger was good, pretty big, came with fries. Nothing OUTSTANDING about it, but for a beach side burger it was a quality burger. The winner here was the key lime pie. Don’t eat dessert out often, but when I do it had to be exceptional. This time it certainly was, and I would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a good key lime treat.

To sum it up in a sentence: Pretty good food and great service with an awesome view.
The seafood here is delicious. Our group has been here a number of times and whether you get fish tacos, grouper, mussels, clams, or anything else that comes from the sea 100 feet away… it will be delicious. The beers on tap are good, and the mixed drinks are also made well to compliment the cuisine. I typically skip desserts at every restaurant I go to, but ask if they have a special made that day, because if they do it’ll be worth the calories and the price.
The food and view are very good… but you might not like the final verse… the bill. Our group of four enjoyed a late lunch/​early dinner that set us back $ 175 before tip. Now… the service was exceptional so I felt comfortable adding $ 50 to round off the meal to a cool $ 225. We don’t eat like this more than two or three times a year.
If you’re here for a special occasion, then please put the thought of bill out of your mind and enjoy the meal. If money is no option for you, then why are you even wasting your time reading this review.

Lovely view right on the beach. On a Friday at 1 they were pretty busy but we were seated right away.
All the employees were very nice, great service. Our drinks were kept full the entire time.
We started with their coconut shrimp, very good. And I had their chicken tropicale which was very yummy. My husband got their mahi mahi sandwich (can’t remember the name) but it was very good. Their fries were amazing! I wish I had gotten fries with my chicken instead of veggies! But that’s ok. My husband also got their house made key lime pie which he liked — I’m not a big key lime pie fan, but he enjoyed it.
For everything it was $ 53 (before tip) so really fairly priced for how much food we got! Would certainly be back!

I am surprised at some of the negative reviews since my experience was so great!
We were driving along the coast and saw this place and stopped with no agenda in mind. We sat outside of course — because seriously who would sit inside with a view like they had?! We weren’t starving so we ordered the ceviche and beers. Perfection! The ceviche tasted pretty fresh and I loved the tortilla chips they served with them. Finally a place that give you enough chips to eat with ceviche!
We just sat back and relaxed and enjoyed the view. I would definitely be back and I am interested if they use the outdoor space at night with music? Seems like a perfect combo!
