Great food! We have been coming here for years and one of our favorite places

What a horrible experience ‼ I called in advance to find out what their corkage fee was and mentioned that we were having a special occasion dinner with friends. They said how great and they would charge $ 25:00, which is a fair price. When we arrived they then told us it was their policy not to allow outside wine and with attitude, wouldn’t make an exception. Fine, we were miffed but ordered cocktails instead. We ordered our meals and before we were half finished with our appetizers, they tried to serve us our main courses. I sent them back and since I had ordered very rare ahi, I requested they remake it or it would be over done. They brought it back and it was iced cold, including the vegetables — it was the same plate and the same fish with the one bite missing from before. They took it back and reheated it. At that point, everyone else was halfway finished so I picked at my meal. It took forever to get the check and another 20 minutes to pick it up and charge it through. The rest rooms were out of TP and filthy. Stay away and don’t waste your evening or your appetite.

I’m giving this two stars only because Joe at the upstairs bar was awesome and so were the oysters he served us while waiting for our table — otherwise it would be one or zero, if possible. Downstairs at our table on the water, our waiter cleaned empty tables rather than take our order. He came to our table once when we ordered soups for starters — guess those other tables really needed to be cleaned because he never came back. Literally — NEVER. We left frustrated and completely dissatisfied. When we told the manger, she seemed disinterested and too busy for our concerns. I would go back to see Joe upstairs but that’s about it. Too many other great restaurants in the area — in fact, some in the same complex.

I’m really shocked this place doesn’t have a higher rating! My husband and I both greatly enjoyed our meals, and couldn’t have been happier with the service. We shared the Prime Catch dip(cheesy lobster, crab, and shrimp goodness) and a caesar salad(props to actual homemade dressing!). I had the Prime Catch grill– a skewer with 2 large scallops, a split lobster tail, and 2 large gulf shrimp– all over grilled asparagus and a double stuffed baked potato. It was tasty, and cooked perfectly. My husband had the grilled grouper(i forget what his sides were), but it was also cooked perfectly. We also shared key lime pie for dessert. Our waiter told us exactly what to order and what to avoid(not that is isn’t good, but to have something that is caught locally for absolute freshness). Loved our experience!

Very nice restaurant we sat outdoors it was right off the bay by the bridge beautiful view we waited until 8 o’clock we had 745 reservations waited till about 8 o’clock that wasn’t bad we had one appetizer between the four of us my girlfriend had the ahi tuna and I had the salmon both where excellent the bad news is that it took almost 2 hours for us we didn’t get out of there until 10 o’clock so that kind of took the niceties out of the evening The waiter was very apologetic but it didn’t help

Nice Caesar salad. Snapper Francaise over cooked and drowning in sauce. Wife’s grouper much better choice. Nice ambiance on Intracoastal. View tilts it to 3 as opposed to 2 stars. Fairly expensive.

After about 5 yrs I returned to Prime Catch last night along with my husband and 4 others .Now I know why it took 5 yrs to return. Service was good but the food was terrible .The portions were small and i had the Salomn it came out very dry .I asked the server for bit of some type of sauce either tarter or dill sauce or anything else, she came out with tarter sauce but first told me it’s an extra chArge which I never heard of in a better restaurant even though it stated the extra charge on the menu .All the others also in our party were not pleased with their choices of food. Sorry but I think Prime Catch was in their prime years ago !

We had dinner Monday ¼/2016 …we were told the porch would be heated… it wasn’t & had to move… service was very slow with a change of waiters ½ way thru… My fried snapper came with the skin on… I sent it back & my other choice came a half hour later… to which I said pack it up…(mistake) when I got home the fish was almost raw & the wrong side dish. we ordered coffee & dessert .the coffee arrived & after waiting 20 minutes for 3 slices of pie… we just asked for our check & xl dessert… I don’t need to tell you what it was like to pay & get out… P. S.the other dinners were soso except the Lobster which was great & on special… Never Never again for that amount of $$$.

The Intracoastal waterfront setting is really what makes Prime Catch stand out from the crowd. If possible try to get a spot on the deck overlooking the water, otherwise the interior design is exactly what you would expect in grandma’s Boynton Beach condo. Despite having a reservation everyone I saw was required to wait around 15 minutes for a table at 7pm on a Friday. Since this is after the famed early bird special, there were many tables available, so I am not sure why there was a wait. Our table started with the Crispy Thai Shrimp, which I recommend as a starter. I had the 1 and ¼ pound lobster, which was reasonably priced and included a potato side. For a small amount extra you can start with a garden salad. We ended with the Key Lime pie for dessert. Overall, Prime Catch serves a good meal and I will be returning again for the lobster or fish.

Had dinner here on Christmas Day. Perhaps that is the reason that it was unimpressive. We had clam chowder which was mainly potatoes and the clams that were in there were tough. Onion soup had virtually no «soup», but was still very good. Prime rib came out fatty and cold and when sent back was corrected. Fried Shrimp dish was good and crab dish was lackluster. Nice atmosphere and we were happy they were open so will try again as their Christmas menu wasn’t the full menu.

The food was pretty good but the service sucked. I know it was Saturday night but it took 45 minutes to get our entrees. One side dish did not come out until after we were done eating. Our waiter was sweating and coughing. I suspect he came to work ill. Luckily a different set of people actually brought the food to the table. I might repeat but it is not on the top of my list. The bread was excellent.

We dined here for my company Christmas party and had a pre planned menu so this review is based solely on that experience. When we arrived you could tell this place is popular because it was pretty packed. This is a 2 level restaurant and our party was upstairs in its own private area which was nice. The décor reminds you of a boat house. The restaurant itself sits on one of the many canals in Boynton Beach. It was evening so we couldn’t see much. We had about 50 people so it was a little crowded for the space but it was manageable. There was a table that had appetizers which consisted of a fish dip with crackers and some sort of seafood salad. I tasted the fish dip and it was ok. It was some sort of smoked fish. I didn’t try the other salad as it has shellfish in it. Like I mentioned before, we were provided with a preset menu and I had chosen to have the yellow tail snapper in a garlic butter sauce with jasmine rice and veggies. I figured I was safe since the dish didn’t contain shellfish. Our meal came with a salad with their house dressing. The salad was very fresh but the house dressing ruined it for me. To me it tasted like they used too much mayo. Our entrees arrived and I was taken aback for a minute because when my dish was placed in front of me it didn’t look anything like what was on the menu. I even re-checked the menu to make sure I didn’t make a mistake. The snapper was in a tomato sauce on a bed of quinoa topped with what appeared to be charred peppers of some sort. I figured all was ok so I began to eat. It was delicious!!! But as I continued eating I realized that there was something else in the quinoa. Ugh! Can you say my heart sank when I realized that it was lobster in the dish? I immediately asked one of the waitresses about the dish. She said that the menu had been misprinted and they had just finished discussing that. I got a little upset and said that people should have been told of the change because several of us who ordered the dish had shellfish allergies. She immediately brought the manager over. Although she was nice and offered to bring me something else, I was so disappointed mainly because the dish was excellent and I couldn’t eat it. I ended up having what was pretty much Chicken Picatta which was good but I was so worried that I was going to have a reaction I took my food to go. I did have dessert and chose the apple pecan crisp. It was ok. It needed a scoop of ice cream to round it out. Overall the service was great and the food was good. I was just disappointed with the miscommunication about the menu.

Prime catch, by the way not affiliated with the prime restaurants of South Beach fame, is a solid American seafood restaurant in Boynton Beach. The restaurant features quality fish and seafood along with views of the intracoastal and valet parking. Overall solid, but nothing out of the ordinary. After having tried several of the appetizers, including the grilled octopus, mahi dip, Thai chili shrimp and their various breads, I have to say there were no losers. The octopus was best, but nothing particularly creative, like much of the menu. The restaurant features all of the typical fish you would expect at a quality seafood restaurant and after having tried several of them I have yet to be disappointed. The salmon with crab was delicious, but the sweet potato grouper was missing that touch of sweet or spice to really take it over the top. All of the signature entrees are actually pretty good, but the side portions can be a bit small for an average of $ 30 a plate. The coconut pie desert is delicious, as are several of the others. The drinks are a little weak, but not too expensive. It caters rather well to it’s older crowd, so in that sense it excels, but so much so it borders on bland and unimaginative. I would like to see the menu expanded with more tastier and more adventurous specials.

We went over for the brunch. Had a party of six hungry people. The waitress was nice, we were prompted seated at the right time. The view is nice, overlooking the water. I ordered the lobster roll, nothing impressive, but it was good. I would return and eat it again. Everyone on my party enjoyed their food.

I had yellowtail snapper with champagne butter and a stuffed potato $ 29.95. Skin still on fish with plenty of the gray matter. Tasty but I had to de-skin. Stuffed potato was only half a potato and only half twice baked. Had to add a little side salad. Husband had Mixed grill $ 33. Lobster tail shrimp and scallop. Small tail, think prawn size, 2 large shrimp and 2 scallops with asparagus and fries. Lobster had to be pried out and a lot was still stuck in there. Also had to add a salad. Lastly, under cooked fries.

Nothing special nothing offensive. Great bread basket — love hate that detail. Fair priced cocktails. Bourbon old fashioned — $ 6.50 I usually get the lobster blt salad. It’s good. Not great. Grandpa likes the scallops. It’s hard to mess up scallops. Service is decent, valet is free and easy. It’s Boynton Beach, not that serious. I’ve been there 10 times, will be back.
