Mamma Mia’s Express

Enjoyed the pizza Sunday evening. Ready exactly as promised. Nice Caesar Salad. Have had other items in the past equally good. Overall experience is good and convenience neighborhood eatery to take out. Nothing special, just good. There should be a line or counter for «pick-​up» rather than one line for everything. Some customers were rude, but it’s the neighborhood and their nature.

Good food and very well managed by Reuben. I can definitely recommend this location.
When there is an issue, Reuben was quick to respond. I found him professional, attentive and MOST willing to address my concerns immediately. You can tell when someone has a goal to keep a customer, and take seriously whatever issue is presented.
Excellent Chicken Parm; lasagne; meatballs; Pizza; Salads; Marsalas and such.

As good as the meal was at Mama Mia, the waitress found it in her job description to report us to the manager who added a $ 10.00 sharing charge to our bill. If we had shared a meal (which we did not), we would have known/​requested a plate and extra salad/​and gladly paid for this «privilege.» We may be seniors, but we’re not dumb. Please be aware that the customer is NOT right and has to be lowered to a humiliation beyond his control. Too bad as otherwise a delicious meal. Not sure it’s worth it.

I love this place. The food is great and prices are right. Quick service too. It’s become our Friday night tradition.

We strongly advise against ordering food from this restaurant. The manager Ruben is an extremely rude and obnoxious person. We called on three different occasions and ordered food to be delivered and on all three occasions they messed up the order. Most recently a few nights ago we ordered three meals, two of which were completely wrong and one was missing items. when we called we were told they would send the food right away. 40 minutes later they had still not not come with the food and when we called, Ruben, the manager, accused us of lying about the missing items. When I told him I didn’t give a f*** that his chef was sure the meatballs were in the order because they were not, he said f*** you and hung up on me. This was one of the most disturbing and unprofessional experiences I have ever had and regardless of the food at this place they do not deserve the business if they call their patrons liars over two meatballs.

Used to be good, but now super horrible. Ordered a pickup for a Sicilian pie and corn chowder soup, and they promised it will be ready in 40mins. I got there on time but waited 1hr&15mins for it!!! I should have just left because it’s not even worth it. New workers /​employees running the place. Girl on the phone does not even know what a Sicilian pizza is when I placed the order. That should have been my cue!

One of the worst if not the worst grandma pie I’ve had. Way too thick, tons of normal cheese and sauce with some crushed tomatoes and fresh mozzarella tossed on top. I struggled to finish a single slice. I also got some penne ala vodka which was edible but nothing great. My grandparents had some eggplant parmesan which they seemed to like. Personally I wouldn’t order from here again.

Close to turnpike. Food is average and portions are huge. Nothing original. Service doesn’t exist. Seating systems is terrible. Waiters ignore you.

I’m really picky about penne with vodka sauce, but this place does it right. The sauce is rich, and thick the way it should be. The garlic rolls are also delicious and the best pizza in the area too.

Ha, this a great place with great food. Timely service with friendly people. Mamma Mias express is especially great when you are a hurry. If not in a hurry, sit back and relax and enjoy the food and atmosphere.

15 min before they closed we ran in hoping for some lasagna and surprise they served us a whole meal. The staff was very inviting, place is clean and tastefully done.
The small salad was heaping with a peppercorn dressing, more than enough. Lasagna was fresh, hot and cheesy just the way I like it. The garlic rolls were covered with garlic and butter, delish. We will be back again!

Terrible wings –don’t bother! Over cooked, some were burnt and so dried out I think I got a splinter when I bit into one. They are NOT this «customer favorite»

Big NY style slices. Lunch special with two slices and a drink for six bucks is as good a NY style pizza experience as I have had in Florida. Large slices the kind you fold over, plenty of cheese, good sauces and a crust that complements the slice. Only tried it once but will hit it up again soon to test consistency. Pepsi products (ABORT). Switch to Coke now.

Passed by this place a few times and finally decided to try it out. Called for a simple large cheese pizza. Their ad says they «now using New York water» so it sounded promising, like they might know good pizza.
They told me 30 minutes and I hung up. They called right back and said actually make it 15 minutes. So I arrived in 15 minutes and ended up waiting at least another 10 minutes. Why did you call me back again? The only other customer in the place was also waiting, impatiently, for a take out order. The staff, all 6 of them were behind the counter having a great time joking and laughing. Nobody bother to mention how late my order was or anything like that.
The place inside was designed nicely, although its tiny. I had a long time to check it out. They have a nice stone wall at the counter, but the bottom near the floor is black and nasty from mopping. A few little tables to eat in. They had some slices ready to be heated on display. It all looked nice enough.
Got home to a super soggy pizza. Lots of oil on top. Very cheesy. The saddest limp pizza ever. No crunch. It was garbage. Not sure if it was undercooked, too much cheese, or just cheap ingredients but over it was terrible. The sauce was tasty. That was about it. I think these guys rushed my order and maybe it could have been better. This was far from a good experience and I won’t be back anytime soon.

This is the express version of Mama Mias Trattoria on hypoluxo and Lyons. Same great food, though smaller menu, and they deliver. The pizza is the best! My girlfriend loves the chicken Francese.

I wanted to love it cause I love mamma mia but the express location was not the same quality. The spinach salad is amazing but they left out the warm bacon per menu ingredients. The eggplant rollatini was very sour tasting. I. ate it unhappily but felt it was off. I asked my italian friend about the sour taste and he said it tasted and smelled funky. I think the ricotta was sour and turned. Also I. ordered the garlic rolls. Menu said comes with Sunday sauce for dipping. Nope. Didn’t. Had to ask for it. Then we were given no plates to eat on for half dozen garlic rolls dripping messy. Then the pizza for the kids came half hour after Ordering when we were done. The entire table found the pizza sauce to be too sweet. Very disappointing hope it improves over time. I will go back and try again.
