I’ve had decent food here before but the last two months this place has become terrible. Require a customer number with a credit card on file to even place an order, then the last two times they wouldn’t even take a to go order because they were too busy to try later, pretty embarrassing.

We didn’t get habatch, but we did sit down and order off the full dinner menu. Got the Fillet steak, and a mai-tai. The salad dressing is amazing that comes with the Dinner combo. Service was friendly, really liked the ambiance at this place. Spacious and nice design. We had a nice seat too next to some cool plants and lights.

Average. Nothing special. Basic hibachi. The food was good. Service was good.

I travel for work and often eat sushi as it is relatively healthy as compared to many of the options available on the road. This was very much only OK sushi. It was not bad, but the restaurant is definitely geared towards the Japanese Steakhouse show and they have sushi as an after thought. The service I experienced was pitifully slow with no follow up or other concern. I had a tuna roll and spicy Salmon… eh. I actually had sushi the day before which was much better. I would try a different restaurant that specializes in sushi rather than coming here.

One of the most incompetent run restaurants I’ve ever been to the place is a complete scam and rip off… Extremely unprofessional and rude. The portions are extremely small for a Japanese restaurant and the quality of the meat is trash

Service is not bad, hibachi is typical and if you get a good chef he can make it fun. I love sitting at the little sushi bar, the chefs whip up some interesting sushi. Great sushi !!

My third, no I think 4th time that I have been to Kimura. I keep coming back. I also keep saying that I am only going to eat half the portion but that doesn’t happen. The show is fun the 1st, 2nd and 3rd time. But not so much on the 4thBUT the food is great. Tonight I had the hibachi shrimp with shrimp. Yum, yum. Last time I had the vegetable hibachi and that came with tofu, yes tofu. I like tofu. Wait staff is nice, friendly and accommodating. Restaurant is decorated beautifully. Samurai warrior, beautiful Japanese cherry trees, wood etc. No wait weeknights but you better make reservations on weekend. I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed it! Something about community dining makes for a really interesting dinner and never mind the onion train and trying to catch pieces of protein thrown at you by an enthusiastic chef! Fun! We had a coupon from the Around the Town coupon book and we decided on Kimura Steakhouse! If you’ve been to any of the Japanese steakhouses(hibachi) then you know what to expect. Being close to the holidays, the wait time was about 10 minutes. I ordered the steak and chicken combo with fried rice. The sauce they provide goes amazingly well with the veggies as well. Service was quick and efficient. Overall a good experience. It’s a good alternative to wanting hibachi and not having to drive far away for the bigger name experience.

DONOTORDERTAKEOUT! Had to wait 15 minutes at the bar; not once asked if we could be helped. Would not take coupon because we were taking out… the coupon mentioned nothing about dine in only. Wasn’t given chopsticks or soy sauce, despite asking specifically for soy sauce when ordering. This restaurants only 2 stars come from the hibachi chefs. Great place for that.

Good food, but crappy service. I guess the only hibachi you go to and need to ask for the shrimp toss. Chef actually gave me attitude for not asking and wanted the shrimp from my plate. I have been to many hibachi restaurants all over the country. I will give it another try, hoping a different server will give us better Service.

Stinky place, bad service and the food is even worst. I asked for vegetable tempura and honestly I thought a child cooked it. The vegetables were so hard, greasy, and the tempura mix was really nasty. I cook any food and by following instructions I have cooked tempura before and trust me, I make it extremely good and delicious(5 stars) when compare with the one from this restaurant, I will rather go to get fries at a fast food restaurant for less than #3 and get happier. I honestly never go back, never recommend the place to any person I know. The waitress was really rude, no courtesy at all. Stinky carpet, I came out with the smoked odor in all my clothes, long waiting and the worst, NASTYFOOD.

I’ve had my birthday here for the past 2 years and always go to it when taking out family! The owner is so sweet and helpful, if you get a funny chef it makes the entire night 1000 times better! Food is delicious and fills you up quick since they bring out the soup/salad then slowly add on to your plate, I get double white sauce. It’s great if you’re looking for more than just a boring dinner.

We recently decided to give this place a try after driving out to our«usual» sushi restaurant and discovering they were closed. This place is right next to our home, so we figured, why not give it a whirl! We walked in and were pretty surprised by the décor, which was really neat! Japanese samurai armor practically greets you as you walk in the door. We were seated right at the sushi bar(it was a small, one sided booth), which was perfect. The waitress came right over and was attentive throughout the night. We ordered 6 different sushi rolls as well as the shumai and an order of toro right at the end, and that was the perfect amount of food. The sushi was fresh and unique… we even had a roll that was served with crushed Fritos on top. We thought that was pretty cool. Great food, good service, conveniently located… We will definitely go back!

Kimura Steakhouse, like many Japanese steakhouses, offers hibachi style dining and raw sushi bar offerings. It’s neat to see some of the Japanese cultural decour on the wall. The menu reflects pretty standard offerings for a restaurant of this type — as they all seem to be one in the same. The hibachi chef was very friendly, spirited and made the dining experience fun to enjoy.

We were looking for a place open for a late lunch for some sushi and Kimura was the spot. They have happy hour and food specials even on Sundays which is awesome. My cousin and I both had the sashimi sushi platter. It came with wakame salad, miso soup or salad, a pork and shrimp shumai(which is a steamed dumpling just in case lol people do ask) California roll, 3 pieces of sashimi and 3 pieces of sushi. Basically a ton of good food for 14 dollars. Not too shabby if you ask me. We sat at the sushi bar and the sushi chef was very friendly. Ohhh ya about the happy hour it’s two for one on house wine, house sake and certain beers… I had the sake, so 2 large hot sakes for 9 bucks, again not too shabby. I have been here once before when I lived up here and both times I have had a very pleasant experience. They offer hibachi as well which Is great for a group setting. :)

Food and service were excellent. When it came time to pay the check I tipped my usual 20% on the total check. The server was very honest and brought the check back to me and showed that they had already added 18% to the check because of another large party that was sitting at our table. She didn’t want me to tip 20% on top of the 18% thank you for the honesty it’s rare these days. I highly recommend Kimura over the leading Hibachi chain any day of the week.

Most Hibachi joints are the same(same food, same prices) so I can’t really say any different about Kimura. I will say that we had G-Unit as our cook and he was hilarious and made the experience fun!

4.5 Stars. We live by a Saito’s and that is our normal Hibachi joint. We are hear after a movie around the corner. Now i will say this… I always thought Habachi was Habachi… they all have the same format, same menu… all u could hope for is a better show. Well let me tell you I was wrong. From the sesame dressing on the Salad(instead of the normal ginger dressing) which was amazing, to phenomenal fried rice… nothing was ordinary here. The Goyza and shumai were in another level… and the meats, I had seafood combination but tasted my wife’s filet, were full of flavor and did not need to be drowned in ginger or mayonnaise sauce to give it flavor! Finally our chef was a showman… not the same old routine. Added in current event jokes and even rapped a little for us. As I looked and listened around it seems like all the chefs were thoroughly entertaining their guests. This place is a true step above any other Habachi place I have been to. I wish it was closer because now it is the only one I will go to.

Great tasting food prepared in a timely fashion and good entertainment while preparing it. The hibachi grill was out of this world. Our chef had a great sense of humor and was so talented too. Will gladly return soon for a night like this!
