I want to love them because they are safe for my son with food allergies. Sadly i just cant. We have gotten stuff a few times now and its just not very good :/Last straw was a dozen EXPENSIVE cupcakes for my sons birthday that everyone threw out after a bite because they were like cement hockey pucks. We make the drive to Miami for bunnycakes now, way better

Joeys Home Bakery was worth the drive. the Apple, Cherry Berry individual pies are sooo very good, best GF, DF I’ve tasted. Forgive me if my pics look eaten; the crust & flavors HAVETHATHOMEMADE taste, nothing premixed or packaged about them at all. I also bought the paleo coconut individual, it’s good, no sugar, but the other two have me drooling over them., mmmmm, mmm, great!

Small place, decent selection. Very hot inside! All the goods look very tasty. The chocolate muffins were very moist and flavorful. Great place to enjoy a treat if you have food allergies/sensitivies or have a specific diet lifestyle.

I have always been a fan of this bakery until today. I called early, 8:15 in the morning early,(they open at 8:00) to place an order for a dozen bagels for pick up and was first told that it was not possible, then they agreed but said they would have to make a special batch. Ok. but it was just a dozen bagels. Then I figured, if they were making a batch special, I would add additional items, well that was a mistake. I was then subjected listening to the girl on the phone tell me that since it is end of season that I should have called the day before and to call the day before in the future. It’s a bakery, on a Sunday. who can’t get a dozen bagels. And. for the record, I am a full time resident here who travels 35 to 40 mins each way to get there. I don’t care about what they do for snowbirds who are here for a few months, it’s locals folks who keep places like this in business. So as much as I may like the products here, it is not worth listening to someone tell me for five minutes all the reasons why they are doing me a favor by filling my order on the same day.

I had lost all hope of every having, crusty, air pockety, chewy bread again after involuntarily giving up gluten 8 years ago. I discovered this place when a friend tucked a crusty baguette into my birthday gift basket. I hadn’t realized until then how happy a loaf of bread could make a gal! :) Joey’s is a little piece of heaven for the Gluten Free’s of this world. Nearly indistinguishable from wheat bread varieties, perfectly browned crust and wonderful sourdough flavor. They have many other varieties or bread, baked goods, and sweets, but the Crusty bread is my favorite.

I am so happy I found this place! If your celiac like me walking into this place can be dangerous. Everything they make is fresh and I love the spinach pizza. They did my birthday cake back in November and it came out beautiful, a bit on the dry side but nonetheless beautiful. The staff is amazing and delivers fantastic customer service. This place is truly a celiac suffers paradise!!!

I picked up a cake to bring to my friends work the other day and had a great experience… Soon as I walked in the yummy smells over powered my nose and then I was greeted by the very friendly staff. They were very helpful and so nice they brought me out the cake we ordered and it was beautiful and everyone enjoyed eating it as well and the icing was to die for… We will def order from here again… What a great addition to Boynton Beach…

This is one of those places that you wish they had multiple locations! Quite possibly one right next door to your home & place of business.(Insert smiley grin) I stumbled in from one of my many Unilocal searches to find vegan deliciousness! Well, they nailed it! Joey and her charming husband were definitely grand masters when it came to gluten free baked goods! Sweet, knowledgeable, and quite pleasant to deal with. Locals walked in for their usual, while people traveling on business arrived as well. All the while, Joey and her husband were able to personalize each visit and tailor conversation to their dietary needs(gluten free, vegan, paleo, etc…)! I ended up ordering focaccia bread which was bagged nicely accommodating two fluffy pieces of bread, some gluten free bagels(my absolute favorite because they were full of flavor, light, airy & I just might be in love ok?), some cookies(would most definitely order these again), a yummy muffin(delicious and not overly sweet which is perfect for my preference), the mini berry pie(It was the only item I wasn’t in love with. It was good, but compared to the other selections I would probably pass. I know I picked up other items, but I waited too long to write this review. I may need another trip there to refresh my memory! After getting home I realized I forgot to try the cupcakes and the pecan pie! It looked wonderful! Joey and her husband have a nice background story of how they started out. I was very interested to hear it. They are a lovely couple and it’s my pleasure to continue to support them.

I am both gluten free and vegan. I love that I can enjoy everything on the top shelf at Joey’s Home Bakery! Joey is wonderful! She helped me and gave me samples to taste right when I walked in. I was able to have a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast and my son was able to have a chocolate chip muffin! If you have food allergies then you understand what a huge deal this is! I can’t wait to return for more baked goodies in the future!

Joey’s is a great bakery, totally dedicated GF facility and a wonderful experience. Owners Joey and Victor are extremely friendly and accommodating, they take time to tell you exactly what is gluten free, dairy free and vegan and will let you sample virtually any bread, pastry or desert. The samples worked… We tried and purchased some wonderful fresh baked treats! We had chocolate soufflé roll(phenomenal vegan cream using coconut!), key lime tart(using real hand squeezed limes and biscotti crust-truly amazing), absolutely delicious and creamy citrus cupcake, moist and flavorful banana-walnut muffin, chocolate covered cheesecake pop, chocolate muffin and a few fresh bagels. My daughter is 8 and has celiac(very sensitive) and finding RELIABLEGF dining out options is still a challenge. By providing great GF food, and a comfortable and friendly atmosphere where she could enjoy all the samples and order anything really made our trip special. If you are living in or visiting Boynton beach area(even if you don’t need a GF, dairy free or vegan menu) try Joey’s.

Everything here looked so delicious! I wish we would have found this bakery at the beginning of our trip visiting family — not the end. They had such a great variety of treats, all labeled really clearly of which were free from other allergens. The bakery is totally GF, but we have other allergies, and could still fill a bag of treats catering to those other allergies(Dairy and egg). They had a good selection of Paleo treats too. The man was very helpful and gave samples of various things. Some of the breads and treats tasted so good a non-gluten-free-weirdo probably wouldn’t know the difference! The bagels are amazing. I will be ordering these to be shipped to Seattle often. Yum!

This bakery is great for anyone who’s gluten free, paleo, or vegan. I’m personally just gluten free, but there were a lot of options and I love that everything is free of preservatives and weird chemicals. Victor was in the shop and very helpful and gave out many samples of the different breads, bagels, focaccia, etc. The olive bread is amazing! Also got a lemon curd tart, NY cheesecake and several cookies… very impressed with everything! Delicious and great texture(which many people who are gf know can be the challenge). Very impressed with the wide variety of desserts, muffins, and breads. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for gluten free options or just lookingto try something new and delicious.

A friend of mine who is vegan was celebrating a birthday so I knew I had to do a specific Unilocal search for vegan cupcakes and Joey’s Home Bakery popped up! I stopped in and was mesmerized by all the baked goods! Everything in the store is gluten-free and everything on the top shelves of the displays are vegan. I was automatically drawn to the chocolate vegan cupcakes and knew that the coconut sealed the deal for me! I also purchased a chocolate swirl cake for myself and I wish I had snapped a better photo before diving right in! The softness, creaminess of the filling and cake surrounding the filling were perfect. Picture a swiss roll but bigger and much more tasty and refined. I love when these bakeries and restaurants share their personal stories to what brought them into the industry and thanks to the lovely owners, they turned an illness into a passion and a passion into a blossoming business. I will return to try the different breads and desserts they offer. Especially the focaccia flatbread!

You know, it’s the little things that make or break a business. Mostly common sense. The average workday starts at 8 or 9, which would mean that many people would need to get the bagels/coffee in the morning. They have their«open» sign on over a half hour before they’re even open… Even still, the food is good. Wish they were open before work. Really don’t have much reason to go any other time. :-/

I never knew this bakery existed until Amelia’s ROTD popped up a couple weeks ago. It’s down the street from where I live, which makes it more better when the next craving happens for some sweets. The bakery offers gluten free baked goods. Breads, muffins, cookies, cupcakes, tarts, bagels, you name it. The owner’s(Joey) husband was diagnosed with Celiac and made the decision to start a gluten free lifestyle. She personally isn’t even allergic to gluten or wheat, but choose to stay away from dairy and gluten because of an autoimmune thyroid disease she has. When I walked in the other day, I wasn’t sure what to get. It was busy and the staff took their time to help with each customer that walked through the door. The person in front of me was asking a million questions and not once did they get frustrated or rushed the customer out of the door. I ended up getting a little bit of everything. A banana nut muffin, organic carrot cake muffin, oatmeal raisin muffin, vanilla cupcake with coconut frosting, lemon key lime cupcake, chocolate cupcake, coconut macaroons, chocolate chip cookie, oatmeal raisin cookie, and petite tarts came home with me. Everything was delicious and guilt free. The bakery expanded their products to vegan, paleo and dairy free on top of being gluten free. I admire the devotion and dedication Joey took to make this all happen. When an unfortunate situation happens, it’s a lot of stress to make things seem«normal» again. Joey decided to take it a step further and make a business from her new lifestyle to help others that are on gluten free lifestyle. Keep up the excellent work!

Bread, dessert, bagels… ALL gluten-free with vegan options. Everything we tried was flavorful and delicious from the vegan carrot cake muffins(which are great for breakfast), the vegan facciata bread(which we made vegan pizza with), pecan pie(great consistency and not too sweet), and there is still a couple other things awaiting taste tests. Service was amazing, speedy and incredibly friendly.
