It was our first trip to the East West Bistro Buffet(and unfortunately our last). To be fair the service was A+ with one of the friendliest greeting I’ve had in a long time. From the manager to the waitresses to the chef’s, everyone was helpful and friendly. The selection of food and salad bar is vast which includes a carving station and Hibachi grill on demand. They even gave me two tea bags in my pot of tea. The reason for the low rating is the quality of the food and the bugs. The sushi is not labeled, so it’s a mystery of what’s inside or whether they’re spicy or not. The shrimp sushi had the vein left in them and you have to peel the chilled shrimp(even at dinner). The hibachi shrimp had a sandy texture like I was eating steamed clams and no Yum Yum sauce to be found. The price is less than the competition but the small flies at the sushi bar and at our table was the reason we would not go back. I showed the manager the bugs earlier that he cleaned and acknowledged but as I went back more bugs were found(see the picture).

I visited East West Bistro Buffet on a Friday evening about two months after it opened. Despite going at about 6:30pm there was no wait for a table. The restaurant is quite large and can accommodate many people. The sushi section isn’t too big but the quality seems to be quite high. You can watch the employees as they carefully make it. In fact you can see much of the kitchen and cooking area which I find interesting, having worked in restaurants before. There is a hibachi grill and a BBQ area if you’re into that. I wasn’t so I can’t attest to its quality. The hot food is of decent quality; I simply wish the selection was bigger. The dessert selection is also decent, including a large chocolate fountain which I thought about putting my face into but I figured the other patrons wouldn’t appreciate it. The service here was impeccable. Within a few minutes of finishing a plate it was removed from the table. Our drinks were promptly refilled before they were empty. Can’t say enough good things about the service here. I do plan to be back to this restaurant and do recommend it.

one thought, you have to question those one reviewers, where they put there by mgmt? I gave them a try, a large selection of food, the buffet is rather large, the food quality was poor this night .the price was more than reasonable, the service was good. sushi selection was limited, the raw fishes were okay, the spare ribs were delicious, they had oyster and crabs, shrimps to peel, now the bad part they need to work on there seasoning and flavors, also had chicken bones in the general chicken, most dishes had to much salt or no taste to speak of, it started getting crowded and the food handling was poor, if they improve there dishes and not have foreign objects in those dishes they could be very good. also had a lamb chop that had 0 taste it tasted like paper.

Tonight, together with our friends, my husband and I decided to give East West Bistro Buffet a try. We were very impressed upon entering, as the restaurant was spacious, nicely furnished and well decorated. The food displays were full and the variety was really great. Between us, we probably tasted everything they had to offer, and we were all very happy with the vast selections, taste of the food, and cleanliness of the buffet tables. The manager came to the table to see how we were doing. The servers were attentive and courteous. Great dining experience at a reasonable price. We shall return!

Excellent food! My gf and I had gone here right after it first opened. Although the food, atmosphere and service were all good, there was an air of haphazardness to the place. We just went back and even though the food and everything else was the same, we enjoyed it soooo much better this time. They had hired M. Castro as their new manager. We knew him when he was an assistant manager at the local Golden Corral. He brings a wealth of buffet management experience and it shows. Excellent place!

I took my wife for lunch, yesterday. The ambiance is very nice, with a bar and plenty of seating, including space for small and large gatherings. They have the normal variety of offerings; from Sushi, to Chinese, to Hibachi. The surprise was the new Grill offerings. They had a delicious roast pork and a variety sausages, while we were there and offer ribs, steak, lamb chops and roast lamb, on the dinner menu. They have a very nice seafood section and offer flan, at the dessert section.(Not as good as my wife’s, but whose is?) We were fortunate to be able to speak with Al Castro, the Manager, who told us of many good things, in store for his customers, in the near future. There is free wi-fi available, which will make this a great place to gather and enjoy some tea, before your shopping expedition and to show off your prizes, afterwards or while waiting for your movie to start. This is an open, secured/encrypted hotspot, that doesn’t block sales ads, like some stores do, when you’re using their wi-fi(Macy’s). I highly recommend East West Bistro Buffet, as a better alternative to the food court, while waiting for your spouse/friends to finish shopping and as a nice destination for some very good food. I was trying to find a place to eat on sat night .all the places I wanted to go had 1 hr waits… so I decided to try the new buffet across from the cinema in boynton beach mall. The inside was very nice and clean, however that was the only thing pleasant about this place. The food was awful …From the Chinese food which had no taste to the so called prime rib which was like eating rubber! Such a disappointing experience… This place will be out of business in 6 months unless they fix the crappy food!

I have now been here twice but will not be going back. Some of the appetizers were very good but the entrees are mediocre at best. The first time I went they took the time to cook the vegetables but how in items like beef and onions, laziness set in and the vegetables were practically raw. But it main reason I will not go back is one of the chefs was eating food with his fingers and then went back to cooking without washing them. He did this twice. Even another 30% off coupon can not get me back in here.

Brand new restaurant that clearly wants to earn your business. Very clean restaurant with friendly staff and, most importantly, fresh and varied items on the buffet. A much-needed addition to the Boynton Beach Mall. We went for lunch and were very impressed. They also told us that the sushi selection is far greater at dinnertime, with such additions as eel(my favorite). We will return!

We received two separate flyers in the mail advertising Grand Opening for this place. We thought it was a bit odd for being located in the Boynton Beach Mall. Anyway, the ads made it seem like this is a huge Vegas style buffet restaurant but when we came for a weekend’s dinner, it was a let down. First, this place thrive for quantities, far from quality. The sushi selection was your typical sub-par Sushi selection at a Chinese restaurant. Only wonton in the dimsum section and it was dry. In fact I think it was more there for the wonton soup. Not many Chinese dishes either(and this is a Chinese buffet??). I believe I counted ten choices altogether… your typical General Tsaos chicken, Chicken and Broccoli, Lo Mein etc. The best dish IMO was the Salt Pepper Shrimp but seriously they only put like 10 pieces at a time and would be gone by the time I got to it. Basically, don’t waste $ 16 to come here for dinner. We used 30% off coupon for their Grand Opening and we still felt like we paid too much. The bright side for this mall location is if you ate too much, you can walk around the mall after… or what’s left of it.

Being a new restaurant in the area we decided to try it. Poor choice on our part. The sushi chef was missing for a period of time. Very limited selection. The hot foods were dried out and you can tell they had been there for a while. The owner was more concerned arguing with another employee while holding a heating element to a table. The hibachi chef was clueless on how to cook, food was sub-par, service was okay. My boys said, «If you hate eating, eat here!»

Worst buffet restaurant in Boynton Beach! I can’t give zero stars, or I would. I will never return. My son threw up in the parking lot after we left because the shrimp were bad! Told the managers and they didn’t care, or adjust the check. Save your money, and go to SanTo’s in Boca.
