I liked this place better as Margaritas. They had tofu tacos, and other great vegetarian options. Since they became Caliente, I looked at their menu and there was nothing of interest. The only nice thing about this place is the outside bar. It gets packed on the weekends at night. It’s okay to come for a drink, but I am not a fan of the food.

We went here after a wine tasting a few doors down, and planned to enjoy free margaritas since it was Ladies Night. The Caliente Kitchen website says that Ladies get free margaritas after 7pm. It’s not true! I was with my husband’s networking group, but also invited a couple of co-workers/friends to meet me there. So, I was going between our group of about 10 at a table outside, and our group of 3 inside the bar. BOTH of the groups I was with were told that the free margaritas didn’t start until after 9pm. B. S! The whole reason we went on Ladies Night, at the time we did, was because they lured us in with this promotion starting at 7pm. The bartender inside and the waitress outside told both groups that it was a «typo» on the website. They lied. Additionally, they have a chalkboard right outside that lists their events. We could ALL clearly see that it said Ladies Night starts at 7pm, but someone tried to change the 7 into a 9. It was obvious. People make mistakes. We all understand that. However, it’s a full day later and the website is still«wrong». Really? They did this on purpose to lure people in early and not honor the promotion. If this was really a mistake, they would have been apologetic and customer-focused. Instead, they just brushed it off and it took a negotiation to get what they advertised. We eventually got our free margaritas, completely watered down. What a waste. I changed that 9 back to a 7 and won’t be returning.

I’ve eaten here four times, as the crew seems to love it as the new happy hour location. They love the 3 for 1 drink specials on Friday, and the fact that they give you poker chips to keep track of how many drinks they owe you. I don’t drink, so this gimmick doesn’t do anything for me. They have never had my drink of choice available(Coke? No, Pepsi. Lemonade? We’re out.) The food is decidedly mediocre, you can get much, much better food for half the price at Chipotle, 200 yards away. Unless you desperately need booze, or love drinking in public, avoid. They get two stars for the happy hour deals only.

Best Chimichanga in the world. And they bake them if you want. The salsa is freekin awesome. I tried getting some for a party I was having. Happy hour has $ 1 tacos and they are full sized too. Service is very quick. You can watch them make the tortillas. They have mariachi band there and radio station broadcasts sometimes. Outdoor bar and seating. All you can drink Margaritas for like $ 10 Sunday brunch.

Last night was my 3rd visit to Margarita’s and I am officially a fan! Margaritas after 10pm offers $ 1 chicken and beef tacos!!! $ 1!!! The chicken tacos in my opinion are much better than the beef tacos. Each bite is as flavorful as the last! They also have margaritas at $ 2.95 and draft beers at a really good price. ** Dine in special only at the bar** The bartender was pretty cool though, not a long wait time to take my order or to ring me up! For those interested in a tasty little drink, they have ‘margaritas’(who would of thunketh) LOL… the margarita that I had was during my first visit back in July and was the passion fruit margarita($ 6). It’s a bit strong but very good… The salsa and chips are pretty tasty, have a bit of extra ‘yo no se’ about them… and they keep on coming… **word of advice. reheat in oven at 350 °F to maintain crispiness, if you take it home** The food is good, not the best Mexican food but good. I had the«choose 2 deal» duck taco + mahi mahi taco. I’ve also had the nachos which are very filling! The service was okay, room for improvement but not horrific! Took a while to get a refill and the food was a little slow coming out(wasn’t too busy at the time so IDK why).

The good thing about this place is that the margaritas are $ 3 and the chicken or beef tacos are $ 1 after 10pm. The tacos are pretty damn good. The bad part about this place is that the service sucks! i mean really sucks! One night, the music was on so loud that i couldnt even have a conversation with the people i was with. Another night, they had no wait staff for outside seating. I had to order drinks at the bar and bring it over to my table. Also had to order tacos through the bartender who passed along the message and then waved me over to the bar to take my food when it came out. no serving dishes or utensils for the tacos which came with a side of sour cream we couldnt use. We used tortilla chips to scoop out the sour cream the first time but the time after that, they didnt even give us chips and salsa.

This place has gone down hill fast we used to eat here all the time and after taking a lil break decided to go back last night. We met up with some friends there they already had a table and switched to ours their waitresses took their order but never placed it into computer and never brought them drinks so we switched them to our waitress who had to try and fix everything but nothing ever did get fixed it took my friends 45min to get their Margaritas it took my friend and I about 15min to get ours. It took us about 45min to get the water we asked for and it took 1hour to get our food when all we ordered was the basic taco special and it was horrible the tacos were so wet and soggy it was barely eatable the beans were good the rice was sticky all and all the service was some of the worst I have ever had and I could have had a cheaper better taco at Taco Bell… I will not be back…

I searched on Unilocal for a good Margarita place close to my house. And went twice now. Both times I had a great experience. Inside is spacious and the lighting is very nice(I like to see what I am eating.) The floor and tables where clean too. Service was excellent. They have a great happy hour, awesome selection of food, Margarita’s and Beer. This is now my favorite Mexican place. Can’t wait to go back.

Two words… duck tacos. Margarita’s provides a unique spin on traditional Mexican food at a reasonable price. I got a trio of tacos. The duck taco had a delicious smoky flavor. The pineapple taco was well balanced and a great compliment to the duck taco. The chicken taco was average, but perhaps it was upstaged by the flavor of the other two. My husband enjoyed the mahi taco. There was even a vegetarian taco with tofu that looked interesting. Very unusual and worth a try. They would have received five stars from me if they served a small side of plantains with every meal.

I’m going to give Margarita’s 3 stars only because they have a great selection of beers on draft. But the food, eh, not so much. Maybe 1.5−2 stars. I’ve been there a few times now, hoping the food gets better with each visit but it does not. I’ve had the carne sada which is the smallest portion, they charge extra for refried beans, the salsa has no flavor, it’s just tomatoes and cilantro. The tacos were disgusting. It’s great that they make their own tortillas but why would they put such horribly dry meat into the delicious tortillas? The bar is the restaurant’s saving grace for me. They’re fully stocked and they have my fiancé’s favorite beer, Sierra Nevada on draft. We will be hitting the bar there again soon but will make sure we arrive with a full stomach of delicious food from some other place.
