Great restaurant in BG, my family always asks to go here when they come to visit from Maryland. Menu is different and full of amazing food and drinks. Only downfall is the waitresses/staff, not always the nicest people. Still doesn’t stop us because the food is so good, but would be the best of the best if staff was better.

Service was great, food was delivered quickly and the atmosphere was great! I had the mushroom cap burger which I wasn’t too fond of but the chips were good, I would definitely come back for something else!

Great atmosphere, 12 craft beers on tap, inventive menu. Can’t make a wrong food choice, best burgers west of the Cuyahoga.

I rode down there on the bike with the girlfriend. There was ample parking behind the buildings and it was free during the evening Upon walking in, it gives the vibe of a darker/modern gastropub. They have a solid selection of beer, nothing rare but still a good selection of crafts. They had some pretty cold artwork on the walls in which one of the managers was able to come out and talk to us about the art and artist. I had the hangover burgers which was a thick burger w Ham and a fried egg on it and a side of garlic fries. It was all to die for. I plan on going back for sure.

came here on a trip to take my brother to college. I have zero regrets, great drinks, amazing prices, and great quality food. This is coming from a girl who lives in NYC so I am a picky eater and drinker and I was super pleased with the service etc etc. If i ever find myself in bowling green again, I will be back haha.

I have gone to Reverand’s about 4 times… drinks are always bad, food is nothing special and the service is average at best. Today my shrimp were tiny and chewy… hardly worth the price. My house margarita was an embarrassment to margaritas everywhere. If you are going to make a low priced drink… make it smaller… and then you can afford to make it better. Just a thought. Or stop trying to cater to college kids and just charge more. I was asked if I wanted to buy another drink and I said that I did not want to… because I didn’t want to risk paying for two awful drinks. And then I was still charged for the bad one that I couldn’t bring myself to finish. Good restaurants don’t do that. They fix things so you come back. And they didn’t. So I won’t!

The best of BG! Reverend’s is among the finest dining options in the downtown area. First, they have a happy hour 7 days a week including discounted beer and appetizers. Personally, I love the plantains and extensive craft beer selection. They have a variety of salads, sandwiches, burgers, and entrées. Pricing is a little steeper than most of the other restaurants in the area. However, the quality is always quite good. And, if you check in on Unilocal, you usually get a discount code too! The crowd tends to include more adults and less college students. It also seems to be much busier on the weekends. They typically have sporting events playing on the televisions. It is great for viewing. If you are looking for a quality, casual atmosphere, Reverend’s is the place to be in BG.

More of a place for the students at Bowling Green than us, we did enjoy the food. It was all done very well and the services was prompt and our server was an absolute delight. We would go back any time.

Talk about a good burger!!!: Hand pattied and full of flavor! Had the Empyrean with a fried egg on top and the homemade chips. The service was more than great. Thank you, Kendra! We will definitely be returning over and over!

On a weekend visit to Bowling Green, I was lucky to be taken out to Reverend’s Bar & Grill. The menu was pretty darn expansive — yet not expensive. I got the Bat Out of Hell with bacon. The meatloaf has its own identity. For those who love meatloaf, you know what I mean. There was a tomato sauce or house made ketchup that gave it just enough sweetness. The bread was sturdy but not too thick that you couldn’t eat the sandwich. Honestly, as I was eating it, I could tell that each item on the sandwich had a purpose. The house made chips were YUM and the Margarita was fantastic! I split the drunken lemon strawberry cheesecake with my buddy. The only thing I could not taste was the«drunken» part of it. My friend could so… maybe it was just me. Service was good. Relatively clean for a Saturday at dinner. I would definitely come back and hang longer. In fact… I will :)

We tried a lot of items on the menu and everything was great! For appetizers we ordered the plantain chips and the dipping sauce that came with them was amazing. We also tried the deep fried bacon, which sounded a little scary but it was pretty good as long as you didn’t eat the whole basket, otherwise it would be too much. We also had an order of cheese curds that we good. For entrees everyone ordered something different and everyone was happy. The buffalo chicken tacos, the Cuban, the Mac and cheese as well as the smoked fish blt. The garlic fries were well worth the upgrade fee.

This is our go to place. It’s small and almost always busy so be prepared to wait. Make sure you order the Rapture dip as a starter! After that there are several good things on the menu a few of our fav’s are Diablo burger, hangover burger, buffalo chicken tacos, and the wings!

I’ve been coming here since college and we took my little sister here for her birthday dinner last week. The food was great. The burgers, spicy tacos, chorizo dip, burritos… All delicious. The server was super personable and even commended us on our superb palate. The only downside is the waiting area. If the bar is packed you have to stand right by the door where they have the hostess stand. Although I can’t offer any suggestions as to where else they would put it. Great place, have always loved the food here. Really makes downtown BG a better place.

Got here at a little after 22:00 on a Friday. Took about 15 min to get noticed. Asked for food since it says they are open till 02:00. Was told Kitchen is closed ? If you are open till 02:00 one should have food I hope or loose their liquor license huh ? Waitress did not open a tap and just asked for the $ 5 for the LI I ordered. Guess I am looking to old for being a college boy that has no money ? Dang It lol. Anyways. People behind me are getting food. :-(

Continuing our Tuesday before Thanksgiving tradition, my mom and I came back to Reverend’s. The draft beer list has to be up there with the best in BG, and the menu is extensive. Our group started with some fried goat cheese, which we all just raved about. For an entreee, I got the Cheezus, Mac and Cheese with some added bacon. It was just how I like it. Creamy and filling. The staff was friendly and attentive, and there are ample TVs to watch the game. We will definitely come back here next year and probably before.

The only thing this place has going for it is the food. The food was excellent for bar food. The reason why I am giving them 2 stars is because of their rude, cheap, «nickel and dime» business model. All of the«extras»(i.e. a couple of slices of jalapenos, a side of dressing, etc.) were extremely over priced. The waitress gave us no indication that there would be an extra charge and quite frankly I find the nickel and dimeing of customers offensive as our requests were well within reason for the meal(i.e. dressing for salad, etc.). Then we had a 15% off coupon and the waitress ONLY applied it to my bill not the entire bill and(again lack of communication) she did not tell us the discount would only be applied to one bill until the final bills arrived. A heads up would have been nice as everyone at the table has Unilocal and would have used the coupon. It’s sad this is the service they’re offering to college kids on a budget. They’re taking complete advantage.

Stopped at Reverend’s for dinner on our way down to TN for July 4th weekend. We had driven by Bowling Green several times before, but never really went into town. We were happily surprised to find a vibrant town with a lot of people around. Reverend’s had some good reviews on so we thought we’d give it a try. My wife had the Goat Mac & Cheese, I had the Deluxe Toasted Cheese with plantain chips and our friend had the Fish & Chips. All dishes were good, the plantain chips were OK(not as amazing as some other reviews made them sound to be, but good). Also had some pretty tasty hard cider(can’t remember the name though). They honored the discount from checking in on Unilocal. Good place, worth getting off the highway to discover.

The stress of choosing a restaurant to eat at on behalf of your friends is easily put to rest by an establishment like Reverend’s, which has food to please anyone and a beer selection to lock that decision down completely. That beer selection goes a long way to compliment the extensive menu of fried, slathered, loaded and flavorful offerings. The order of plantain chips that I began with really set the tone for the meal. More like large tostones or small plantain pancakes, the ‘chips’ had a healthy amount of salt and jalapeño ranch dip piled on top. I offered them up for sharing around the table, but I really didn’t want to. My friends reciprocated, and tastes of the Fried Goat Cheese Cake and the Rapture Dip helped explain why my supply of plantains remained so well intact — all of the above were tremendous in their own right. Definitely go for the Fried Goat Cheese Cake to share with the table. I rounded out the meal with the Black & Blue burger, and washed it all down with an opaque Stout. The blue cheese was plentiful, and the cajun flavor coursed through the beef patty with a strength of its own. I couldn’t recommend it more highly from the selection.
