Today I had the catfish special. I had heard from friends this place was really great. The catfish was not freshly fried. When the order came to the table it was slightly warm and very salty. It came with three sides. I chose mashed potatoes, hushpuppies(these tasted warmer than the rest of the meal), and apples. I guess all I can say is if you like salty food, then this place is probably the place for you, but it just did not hit the spot for me. I like my food hot and flavorful of all spices not just salt.

My husband and I have been going to Reds for many years. We use to go to the location on Old Louisville Rd. but they closed and reopened to this location. The food is always good and the waitresses are always so nice and kind. I always get the western omelet with home fries and biscuits and gravy. It tastes like a traditional breakfast. It’s not anything fancy, but it’s always delicious and hot. Never had cold food served here. They give you a good size potion so be prepared to take some home if you don’t feel like you’re starving. My husband always gets something different. Today he got a double bacon cheeseburger and fries. It tastes like a good olé traditional cheeseburger. Very good and nothing overly fancy. The coffee here is always something I look forward to. Better than any place I’ve gotten a cup of plain black coffee. Overall we really enjoy Reds. This is the only place we go when we want a good, home style breakfast that doesn’t break the bank.
