My husband and I love to travel to Bowling Green just to have Mancino’s Pizza. There was one in Clarksville, TN years ago but they closed down. We sure miss them. They have a great variety of items such as salads, pizzas, calzones, pastas and grinders. There is also a kid’s menu. Very reasonably priced. Great service. Coupons available at the counter for specials and freebies. We ordered our usual pepperoni, mushroom, onion 12 inch medium pizza and had a few slices to take home. $ 7.99 for the cheese pizza and $ 1.25 for each additional topping. The toppings are plentiful so you really get your money’s worth. The pizza was made to order and delivered to our table hot and fresh. It doesn’t get any better than this! Lots of tables and also a backroom for additional space. Conveniently located in a strip-type plaza with easy parking.

What a horrible experience! My husband ordered the meatball grinder and the meatballs were cold. He brought it back to the counter and told the counter person it was cold. The jerk at the counter looked at him with a void expression and another employee asked if he wanted then to run it through the oven. When they brought it back, the bread was hard and burnt and the meatballs were STILL cold! Crappy food and ABSOLUTELYHORRIBLE service!!!

Not impressed. The place was filthy. Food was average at best. One of the workers had a really bad attitude.

This has been a favorite of ours, &, obviously, many more, as we see many regulars every trip here. The food is consistently excellent, wheat her it’s their pizza, or other meals. The dining area has been expanded into the adjacent building, due to their success. What else can I say, but«it’s VERYGOOD.» The seating is comfortable chairs & tables, kept cleaned by the servers. Pick your setting, & they’ll serve your meal, when freshly prepared.

Worst excuse for a calzone I’ve ever seen. About the size of a hot pocket… and it tasted like a reheated hot pocket. Seriously gross. The pizza we ordered was burned, and the crust had the same old, awful, previously frozen for several years taste as the calzone dough. The garlic bread was good, but definitely not worth a return visit.

Good food. We had the pizza and parmesan pizza bread. Both were big hits with the adults and the kids. Pizza was well made with good ingredients. Service for take out was fast.

Ate here for lunch today with a local who is a long-time fan. My(large-ish) group had grinders, pizza, sides, and calzones — they were uniformly well-received by each person ordering, well-prepared, hot, and full of toasty and/or fried goodness. Certainly, nothing was low calorie, but, hey, that’s not really the point at a place like this, now is it? The counter service was attentive, quick and kind, when it could well have been otherwise, given the average lunch rush at a casual restaurant making food to order. My reuben was amazing — the protein was perfect, without even a hint of gristle or unchewable fat /cartiliage lump(which is unusual). The oven-toasting of the sammie(especially the bread /cheese mix) made it especially different from a sandwich I’d make at home or order elsewhere. It’s not fine dining, but that’s not what works for every lunch. And calling them«Grinders» just warms my otherwise stone-cold, New Englander heart. Dear Uninformed(AKA: «Spoiled» [vomits a bit]): I’ve eaten an exceptionally wide variety of calzone & pizza in NYC, Boston, Chicago, and just about every other big pizza city for about 20 years(and eaten actual Italian food from Italy for about eight years before that)…there’s nothing wrong with what this place is putting out. ESPECIALLY for this part of KY, where the [[cough, cough]] BARF!-subsidiary chains and Papa /Dominos rule, especially given the price and service size. Makes me think that perhaps other reviewers were simply not expecting what they should be expecting. Sorry… Just sayin’. Say you don’t like it, fine, but don’t say they’re doing it wrong unless you actually know what’s going on. Saying you«recently ate(a) delicous pizza in New York City» doesn’t make you an expert(especially since most places in NYC have pies under heat lamps for a dinosaurs age, selling by the slice. Even if ordered fresh, pies are of various styles, with various crust types — Greek, Italian(traditional), Italian(new), Italian(American), Deep Dish-style, just a few, and not always entirely from scratch despite coming from«the big city.» Plus, there’s the whole NYC water thing. And there you are just saying«Wah, wah, it didn’t taste like the one I ate in band camp!!!» isn’t particularly useful, review-wise), particularly without saying where your baseline for«excellence» was consumed so that others can ‘get’ where you’re coming from. So, basically, I’m saying if you have the chance to grab a grinder, a calzone, or pie from this place on an otherwise«Gonna Get Easy Food That’s Bad for my Health,» day, do it. You won’t regret. Well, except for the entirely worthwhile, post-nosh workout. :-) Or if you’re otherwise obsessed with crappy takeaway from some place you once went in NYC [smh] instead of the good food being made by the place down the road…

I totally don’t understand the negative comments here. most of them are a year old, so take that into consideration, I was just there. We were driving to Louisville last night, looked for a pizza place on Unilocal and found this. First of all the staff was super friendly and responsive. They delivered the wrong pizza and immediately replaced it. Super fast, from order to eating in 10 minutes on a Friday night? Unheard of in my opinion. The pizza was good hand a nice amount of toppings and the Greek salad was good too. The bottom of the pizza was a little soggy and greasy, but the overall crust was good. We are planning on stopping on our way home to try a grinder. Oh yeah, really inexpensive too!

Mancino’s is a locally owned and operated establishment located in the dining/retail strip mall dominated by Kroger. It has some good food and I particularly like their variety of grinders. Yes, as a previous reviewer mentioned, the pizzas are more economical but the grinder sandwiches still rock despite the price comparison. There are three different sizes of grinder from which to choose in that one may buy a ¼, a half, or a whole sandwich. I will normally just purchase a half grinder combo because I know it will satisfy my appetite. Besides, the price difference between the ¼ and the half sandwich is probably only like a $ 1.50 or something. I have eaten at the place many times but I have yet to ever had the need to order a whole sandwich. The half sandwich is big enough and I’d wonder in astonishment if I ever saw a whole sandwich. I should also second the opinion of another reviewer on their negative comments of the place. The person is correct in that the staff is a bit negligent or slow in cleaning the tables for dining patrons. I do not know if on those occasions or days that I go that the place is short staffed or what, but the sight certainly does not bold well for potential walk-in customers. It may just be this particular location as I know I’ve not experienced such concerns while visiting one of the other Mancino’s on Scottsville Road. If the messy tables issue does concern one then there is always the option of getting the food to go but do expect to wait a bit as all the sandwiches and pizzas are made to order. Go check them out at their web site

One Word — PEDESTRIAN. Visited my brother and sister in law and was looking forward to a nice pie. Dude’s ! Chef Boyardee makes better pizza. Seriously poor crust that tasted of Playdoh with adequate toppings. Next time I’m in Bowling Green and we need Pizza I’m going to the grocery store for DeGiorno’s!

Maybe I am spoiled, as I recently ate delicious pizza in New York City, but I was not at all impressed by Mancino’s. **THEBAD** The dining room staff was slow on cleaning up after customers, so dirty tables were abound. This was troublesome during a busy lunch rush with a line snaking through the restaurant. Our food was not brought to our table when it was done. One of our group had to go get the pizza, and it had apparently been sitting out on the counter for a few minutes. This was aggravating. The pizza was overwhelmingly oily. It was also under cooked. The crust was tasteless. I am eating some frozen Red Baron pizza as I write this, and I can honestly say it is better than the pizza at Mancino’s. The pizza was not very good at all. The experience was lackluster because of the lackluster service. **THEGOOD** I got to spend time with my friends.

Mancino’s is the ONLY decent pizza place in Bowling Green. The pizzas are very good and the crust tastes good, but it would be a lot better if the dough was made in house. The grinders, however, are awesome. Because my four sons and husband choose to go here quite a bit, I wish their salads were better, because I am always looking for a low carb option. The chef salad is ok, but the envelopes of dressing make me feel like I’m eating at a Wendy’s. Good Pizza, great grinders, and an o.k. salad, all add up to one to two visits per month.

Mancino’s is one of my favorite places to eat when I find myself visiting family in southern Kentucky. I just ate here this evening and was reminded of how much I love their pizza. Of course, Mancino’s is known for its grinders(hot sandwiches), but – wow!! – their pizza is delicious. Not too greasy, not too healthy – it’s perfect! If I’m just ordering a meal for myself, I usually go for a medium pizza, original crust with pepperoni and jalapenos. The pizza is more economical than the grinders. The folks in Bowling Green are loyal to Mancino’s for good reason; this restaurant consistently delivers excellent food at reasonable prices. Locally owned goodness like Mancino’s definitely deserves five stars.
