Believe the reviews… this is really a borderline Hampton property. One of the other reviewers comments about stale smoke in room 212. I concur… and I had room 212 as well. And… the AC was making awful noises. And… the cable feed was choppy to the point of being unwatchable. My room wasn’t particularly clean either… not dirty… just eh. The hostess who checked us in was very polite and friendly though. I am continually amazed that the farther south you go the nicer the people are. So that was a plus and only thing preventing this from 1 star. I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here… just a bad experience for the price you pay and not worthy of the Hampton name. This visit probably warrants a note to the manager.

While the breakfast, bed, and bathroom were decent I gave this room two stars because of the smoke smell. Our room and floor is supposedly non-smoking but the smell of smoke hits you like a ton of bricks as soon as you open the door! Yes it is really that bad. I am allergic to smoke and it began bothering me within 5 minutes with watery eyes. We asked to switch rooms but they claimed they were out and were unapologetic about it. We called a few hotels nearby but they were also booked. My bf booked the hotel based on the Google review not the Unilocal which people seem to have had a similar problem. Don’t stay here unless you don’t care about the smell of cigarette smoke.

Why all the bad ratings? This is a very decent Hampton! And… one of very few Hilton properties that’s actually pet friendly! I had no issues with my brief stay here… room and linens were clean and fresh. The staff was very friendly and helpful

One night. We won’t stay there again if our travels take us through Bowling a Green. Room 212 was the STINKIEST non-smoking room I’ve ever been in. Smelled of old cigarette smoke. This place remodeled/redecorated but it has to still be over 5 years ago. New carpet was not in the plan. The air conditioner was so noisy. Woke us up. The toilet ran so we had to jiggle the handle. Due to local health regulations, according to the sign, they can’t serve the usual hot breakfast items, e, g., eggs, sausage, bacon, etc so there are frozen items you can microwave in addition to the usual toast, cold cereal, fruit, yogurt. I’ve been to a lot of Hampton Inns and this is certainly on of the worst.

It’s fine. Remodeled lobby/breakfast area and good rooms/bedding(note that I have seen both better and much worse rooms under the Hampton brand). The comments about smokey rooms(or at least the non-smoking room that I had) seem to have been taken care of. Very nice staff.

Smokey. The desk gave me a runaround about booking procedures. I have a No Smoking preference on my Hilton Rewards. I have never been given a smoking room at a Hampton. This on was terrible. You could smell the smoke coming down the hall. The hotel was booked full with no option to move. I’ve stayed at lots of Hampton Inns; this was the worst! Staff was unapologetic and rude.

Place was accommodating to our needs. We are a group that was staying there awhile. One issue do not get the room next to the elevator! Its loud and it never stops going up and down. Ask for refrigerator ahead of time if needed b/c you will need to beg for one later. Other than their the rip off service to the laundry service the place is great. With Hampton Inn you can utilize the awesome gym down the street…
