Manager, Francisco always makes dining here a treat! Food is delicious but the service under Francisco is the best! Fun place for birthday celebrations too!

Francisco the manager know how to make a mean margarita. . I was on a bus trip to Nashville and on the way home the bus broke down and we were stuck in Bowling Green Kentucky for three hours. Lucky for us, we found El Mazatlan in walking distance. Our group started as just four but I think eventually we had a whole group of 20 – 25 invade their restaurant. .well the bar anyway. The food… meh, it was fine for American Mexican same olé’ combination of beans rice chicken beef sauce… you know, just compiled in different ways to make a different dish. It did come out fast and hot so no complaints whatsoever. Everyone seemed happy with their choices… I went with my standard«speedy Gonzalez» and it tasted pretty much like every other one I’ve had… kudos on consistency. The margaritas were the star of the show here. Big, delicious and strong… really really strong! Hey… we were on a bus remember? I would definitely order the«special» margaritas. .and if you can get Francisco to make yours… his are the BEST! Thanks to Francisco and the rest of the staff for the superb service on such a large group… great job and we thank you!

Food for a family of four runs about thirty dollars, and is ready for pick up in about ten minutes. The food seems kind of Americanized as it’s covered in cheese and less spicy. But it’s still pretty tasty. I would recommend getting your food to-go instead of eating in, because the restaurant itself is a little kitschy and cheap-looking.

so i went here after i had a concert with some of my friends, yeah don’t ask what we sang. i wasn’t super hungry and i had an extra meal plan so i didn’t want to go spendo kablamo and get a taco salad fajitas even though it’s my ABSOLUTEFAV. anyway, the chips were a little stale, but the salsa was good which is muy importante if you ask me. since i wasn’t starving my brains out, i simply asked for a kids cheese quesadilla meal to hit the spot and the waiter said it would be an upcharge and i said h*ck no i don’t even want those crusty fries so i just got a plain kids cheese quesadilla with nothing. the quesadilla was honestly barfaroni in a greasy tortilla, but then presto! my friend next to me gave me his oversized steak quesadilla which was sent to us from the heavens above. honestly, i wouldn’t even consider it a quesadilla because it had so much meat but thats just my opinion. i only had to pay like three dollars even though i had a lot of meat. but don’t get the kids cheese quesadilla unless you want to disappoint your children.

Good, fast, and cheap: that’s how I like my Mexican food, and this is where I get it in Bowling Green. The salsa is kinda on the ketchupy side, but no other complaints so far. Well, they serve the cheese quesadilla on the plate with the bean burrito on the Vegetarian #4 and it tends to get soggy with ranchero sauce, but that is just a personal quirk of mine, not really a complaint. Just ask and I’m sure they’d fix that for you. Trouble is, I always forget. Therefore soggy quesadilla is my fault, not really theirs. Service is fast, which is awesome since I’m usually on my way to work. Atmosphere is casual and a little loud, but I don’t have to listen to some brain damaging conversations at the surrounding tables– I’m OK with that.

SUPER fast service. If you’re pressed for time on your lunch hour, this place makes it worth the drive out. I probably had 5 reps in the span of 20 minutes. Lunch entrees lacking in protein, but this is reflected by the lower price. Overall the portions are just right for a lunch.

What a wonderful find in Bowling Green! Wife and I ate here last weekend for the first time and completely enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. A very extensive menu made it hard to choose a dish, but enjoying a Dos Equies and margarita while making a decision was a great way to start the meal. Excellent selections, large portions, delicious food, good service all at a good price. We will be back.

Nachos! I love their nachos! The salsa is great, the enchiladas are amazing, and their service is better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. I love El maz!!!

Love this place. Staff is always friendly. Great food and margaritas! We visit at least once or twice a month. MUCH better than the Mexican restaurant across the road!

One great thing about this place is that every dish doesn’t come slathered in cheese sauce. They have awesome quesadillas – lots of meat(if you’re into that) and vegetables, and crispy. The staff is very friendly, they have decent salsa, and a wide variety of things to choose from on the menu. I’ve been there twice and will definitely go back.

I absolutely love this restaurant. This restaurant looks amazing since it has been remodeled. The staff is friendly, and the food is exceptional. I enjoy the food here and I visit frequently. After I ate here I can say that this restaurant has the best Mexican food in the area without a doubt! I love it because there is a large variety of food at a reasonable price. If you have not tried the fajita Mazatlan, nacho fajitas, or the Cesar quesadilla then you are missing out. I am definitely going back to try the mocahete.

Just sort of «blah» food and atmosphere. Nothing to say, really.

Here you will find the best wait staff in town! Their menu is just fabulous – the largest Mexican menu in town. I know fajitas are a boring dish these days at s Mexican joint, but you have to consider that El Mazatlan makes the best in town. Their salsa is a bit of a disappointment, but everything else works well. Recently renovated, you’ll find the bar inviting. Go and enjoy if you haven’t already.

My mother is a fussy eater. While out running errands we decided to give it a try, as I love Mexican. She was hesitant. Large restaurant, with lots of room. No feeling of being cramped. Lots of room for large groups, with a large mix of tables and booths. Friendly and smiling staff. Our waiter kept our drinks and salsa filled and checked on us frequently. Food was delivered quickly and was fresh and hot. Portions more than sufficient and prices very reasonable. My mother is now a fan, as am I!

Love this place and I eat here usually once a week. Service is fast and friendly. Here is their menu The only thing I would recommend is getting tables and chairs, so people can eat outside.
