I also wanted to love it. Disappointed in my experience here both times. The first time was just mediocre so I decided to give it another try. The second trip was worse, solidifying that I would not be back. While waiting to order, I watched one of the employees behind the counter standing over a tray of food that another worker was trying to complete with cornbread and sides. He leaned over the exposed rib rack more than once, with his beard and navel length dreads hanging dangerously close to the food over and over again. He looks cool, yes, but not while standing over someone’s dinner. Straight up turned my stomach. Then when our ribs arrived mine were cold. By this time I’d lost my appetite so no big loss. Hopefully someone else will have a better experience but me, I just won’t do it again. Seriously grossed out.

I had a good experience at this place. The food came out pretty swiftly. The staff was friendly. The food was pretty darn delicious. I had the ¼ chicken wing with fries and cold slaw. Next time, I am going to try the pulled chicken. There aren’t too many places in Maryland that have pulled chicken that I would consider but this maybe the exception.

This place is too expensive for the food they offer and there’s always a ton of flys buzzing around the food. I would like to come here more often but it’s not worth it to overpay and then spend the entire meal swatting at flys.

HYM Construtio LLC I contracted HYM under supervision of Hector Molina and I what a mess I have in my home. After my house caught Fire I was left homeless the previous Contrator Jenkins hired people who were not skilled and made a mess walls, hung up incorrectly Windows half sealed. Anyway I hired Hector Molina and they on appearances seem to be doing a good job once they pulled the paper off the floors I noticed my floors where waving molding chipped, no shower faucets paint Job just horrible I notified the Project manager Hector Molina abd he said he come and assured fix everything, to this day my floors look terrible the wood Mahogany floors are dull and dirt was left in the cracks because when they pulled the Ospreys up they let the debris from the wall get in to the cracks $ 7.000.00 look like I had the 59 years my walls have mud on then I which he never came back to fix he assured me he would take care of it Never dud ! He has a liscecse so I have given the State of Marykand all the information hopefully they can make him okay for my floors and walls. I must admit I feel like I have been victimized Enuf when all I wanted was to get my house back to Normal. It is Awful!!!

On 10÷13÷15 I visited your store in Bowie. I was excited to try your soul urban rolls. When I bit into the rolls they were still very cold on the inside. I returned to the cashier and explained the problem. They took my plate, and I waited for them to call me again with a fresh order. When my order was returned I realized that it was the same order I had originally bitten from and touched that was dropped back into the grease. I requested a refund, as I was not satisfied with the health/sanitation training that your staff seem to be exhibiting. *called headquarters and management has yet to contact me regarding this matter. I will not be returning.

Was good when it first opened and has gradually plummeted in quality, consistency and service. Keep up the piss poor job and you will eventually close down.

This place is a solid, «Eh.» Very expensive for what it is. I have had the soul rolls(ok these are incredibly delicious in a really unhealthy way) and one of the salads. The salads are huge but empty. The lettuce is also low end. Service is alright. They definitely don’t seem happy to be there. I’d go back for the soul rolls, but my conscience says not to.

Been here about 2 more times with co-workers who like it. It’s not very inexpensive, considering everything. Nothing to report different. I like the sauces they stick on the table but have yet got the courage to try the hockey-puck brownie that comes with it.

Why is it that this place keeps an internal temperature around 90 degrees? I walked into the restaurant but the staff was too busy talking to help me with the menu. Ordered a side of french fries that were cooked in dirty oil. The soda machine was out of ice which really made it frustrating since it was HOT in the place. To top things off there is a sign posted at the door saying«No Public Restroom». Really? I never heard of such a thing in a «restaurant» with eat-in dining. I complained to the staff who didn’t seem to care and said it’s always hot in there. Unfortunately this is just one of many other restaurants in this area with poor service and uncaring staff. Food was not bad although I cannot comment on the French Fries because they were too gross to eat. Giving this place one star is simply too much. My guess is they’ll be out of business before long. They apparently already cannot afford air conditioning. Won’t be back.

Ended up here by default because the Chipotle a few doors down had a line out the door. There were only about 4 people inside at Urban, so there I went. I should have known when I walked in on the hottest day of this year, so far, that when I found out the air conditioner was broken things weren’t going to well. We had a heat index of 100+ degrees. With that said, I ordered ¼ dark meat with a side of beans and coleslaw and opted for the cornbread. Let’s start with the chicken. I have had a whole cornish hens bigger than the piece of chicken they gave me. Very disappointing. I give the flavor a 2 out of 5. Canned Bushs’ beans taste way better than theirs. I will compliment the cole slaw. Great taste but it was warm like the restaurant. I was so disappointed, I didn’t even try the afterthought cornbread. In closing, this place won’t last much longer. It will close like the restaurant before them did. I never trusted chain BBQ joints in the past. Will never again. Thought the Sportstalk 980 endorsements were credible. They are not because Urban pays them to let them taste and advertise on the station. NOTOURBANBBQ!

I had the pulled chicken sandwich and mac & cheese. My boyfriend had the Texas Brisket Taco, wings, and fries. We’re giving it 3 stars because he was very dissatisfied with his tacos, and his wings were okay. He liked the fries. My chicken sandwich was very nicely flavored, but the mac & cheese was mediocre.

I’m glad to see a new dining option in this part of town. However, the experience left a lot to be desired. I agree with the other reviewers — it’s a bit pricey but I’d be willing to overlook that if the speed of service was better. It’s lunchtime. Folks have to go back to work. Let’s keep it moving. Focus. Furthermore, EVERY single person who picked up an order while I was there came back because something was either wrong or not included in their order at all. Including me. Definitely check your order before you leave. I recommend that they put some more supervision behind the counter. As for the food: the cornbread was moist and sweet the way it should be. A winner. I had the mixed platter w pulled chicken and brisket. I was very impressed with the chicken. It was moist and flavorful. The brisket was just ok. When doused in bbq it’s good.

This was my first time here. I had the pulled pork platter with mac & cheese and greens. The mac & cheese was good and the greens were moderately season which is fine because most places over season in the vegetables. But the star of the meal was definitely the pulled pork and the red barbecue sauce was really good. It’s so hard to find good barbecue places in Prince Georges county that are close to me and Urban BBQ hit the spot

I really really REALLY wanted to love this place, I really did! I’d first noticed their sign about a week ago, right around the corner from my office, and got excited at the prospect of a new BBQ place to try. So today I stopped in for lunch with high expectations. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and got sides of collard greens and mac & cheese. For the food plus a drink, it came to $ 13, which seemed a bit steep to me…$ 2.50 for TINY(¼ cup) sides? $ 7 for JUST a sandwich? With the price, I was thinking it MUST be wonderful. The pork was good, I’ll give them that. But the sauces left a lot to be desired. Everything was either hot & spicy or too«vinegary» or «mustardy», nothing with the sweet smokiness that I love(being from Kansas City, I can be a bit of a tough BBQ critic). The collards were bland, almost no flavor at all, but the mac & cheese and sweet tea were actually very good. If I got a coupon for a good discount, I might go back. But at regular prices, it’s not worth the money.

Ok but nothing special to me. Chicken was over cooked and a bit dry. Pulled Pork was good. Mac & Cheese was nothing to write home about. Baked Beans were good. Sauces were good.

Not bad for barbeque. BBQ is a tough thing to get«right,» and a lot of places really screw it up. I enjoyed the pulled chicken and pulled pork platter – not a big fan of the cornbread, but maybe I’m just too picky. I agree with a couple of the other reviews that the prices are a tad high, but a lunch here isn’t going to break the bank. I’ll be coming back.

Too long of wait for 30. Bucks. Very unorganized and no system. Raquel was a jewel. The young lady handed me my food and didn’t verify my order or say thanks. I’ll still to my other spots.

Are these magic wings? Do they specially make their wings? Do they get their wings from places other BBQ joints aren’t allowed to get their wings from? If the answer to all of these questions is no, then please tell me WHY in the HELL did I have to pay 7.99 for seven wings pieces? Not seven whole wings but seven wing pieces? I know what you’re thinking, this seven wing piece purchase must have come with two side dishes… Okay one side dish. Try NO side dish. The only thing you get for $ 7.99 is some damn blue cheese. I’m surprised they didn’t charge for that too. Lol. Now if you want an individual side dish and when you see the size of this little container(Oh it’s diet sized), you have to pay $ 2.50 each. And of course once you tack on a drink then your seven wingette meal just cost you $ 13+ bucks. Needless to say, I was still hungry with lighter pockets. Oh well, fool me once! :)
