I had a full set of acrylic nails. One of the men did them. The results were absolutely awful. They were wide and thick and not straight. He drilled to the point of burning me and filed aggressively. He didn’t speak English or pretended not to. I had this done two days ago and now will pay to have them removed somewhere else. They pretend to be fancy but have a very limited skill set. If I could give less than a star I would.

I’m not happy at the way I was greeted upon entering this establishment. The receptionist was extremely RUDE to me. They close at 8pm I called about 35 minutes before closing so they were expecting me. I’ve never felt so ignored in my life. The language barrier is horrible and it’s unbelievable. Kim was awesome she did my pedicure and I love it! I told her I was going to get my nails done elsewhere they said«oh we can do it we’re not closed. its 8:16pm and they’re still taking customers. There was another patron getting her nails done and she told the person to and she was obviously upset. I highly do not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Services: pedicure and full set After arriving, I was taken back to the pedicure station within 10 minutes. I was satisfied with the pedicure. Hannah provided great customer service, paid attention to detail, and completed the service in a timely manner. Elaine did my full set. Everything turned out great. She did a great job with the length and shape(tapered) that I asked for. She was timely without sacrificing quality. The salon is very spacious. I loved the atmosphere of the salon. There are signs posted asking customers to keep themselves and their phones quiet. Everyone there abided by the rule making for an enjoyable and relaxing experience. I will definitely be visiting again.

I came here once prior to this experience to get my eyebrows done and was amazed of the lady of the cell phone not serving me then once done my eyebrows was amazing. But the employees are the worst. I then came this time with a friend with hesitation to get a pedicure and it was going well at first then my pedicurist just walked off before finishing then I had to wait 15 minutes to get a nail design this is ridiculous. I’m going to have to go back to my favorite place California nails in st Charles mall. Never again and you shouldn’t go. Bad customer service equal bad service.

Dawn is the best! I go to her all the time. I followed her for 7 years. She’s really good with everything!!! She does literally everything for me. From eyebrows to fullset pink&white to an awesome pedicure. Don’t let the other nasty people make you miss out on dawns work!

I decided to try a nail salon closer to my home. This spot is less than ten minutes from me. Upon entering the establishment, I was greeted right away by the staff. It is a big spot. In the back there us full set up of private rooms for waxing, massages, etc along with numerous pedicure stations. In the front the utilize half the salon for nails. The other part looks like it’s for hair but not in use. I was impressed by the wide variety of gel polish colors. I had Elaine who did a great job on both my hands and feet. However I did feel a little rushed at the end. Atmosphere was cool. But they are pricey. I did not get the ratchet treatment or feeling like read in other reviews, but observing some of the staff, I could believe it. All in all my nails were done well. Now let’s see how long they last!

Since my initial visit I have been back twice and the service was not pleasing. I will not be returning. I told the guy 2x that he was hurting my finger. And the nail polish was on my cuticles. For the price I would think they would be more observant.

This wad my last time here. The hubby and I went for a mani pedi. Now with men it should be easy. Tidy up the cuticles and buff him to a nice shine. Needless to say I could have done a better job easily. For my self I asked for straight across. Well the older gentleman who did my nails left them so straight they had sharp edges. I had to tell him to slightly round the edges. He put the polish on sloppily and was way too heavy handed with the leg massage. Never ever going back.

The receptionist looks like she smokes more weed then snoop dog. The front desk is totally unprofessional. Fist impressions are everything. I actually have something good to say. Ashley is great on brow wax and Dawn does a good pedi. Nice jazz playing.

So it’s been about a month. I have worn flip flops just about everyday(yes even in winter) and the polish started to chip a few days ago. My toe for the longed time hurt on the cuticle part where the guy had cut and scraped it back wrong.

They do a great job on brows my only issue is if your employees are sick please send them home. I went for a brow wax and the employee kept coughing in the tiny room that they do the waxes in. She didn’t cough on my per say but she kept coughing in the corner of the room and that’s not cool to me either. I am just praying she is a smoker because the last thing in the world I want it to get sick on vacation!

I have been here a few times. Nails are ok, but I don’t recommend any waxing. My eyebrows turned out really badly and it didn’t look very clean, but I was desperate at the time. Never again.

This place is the WORST when it comes to customer service. I went a while ago and had a bad experience. That should have been a sign but I took my friend’s recommendation to go to Angel. I didn’t have a problem with her at first. She is very popular with the local residents so she only accepts appointments but will continue to take waxings while she makes you wait. When you question her about the delay she gets super sensitive and loud. Do not waste your time nor money on Lee’s and especially on Angel!!! She does not appreciate her customers, only their money.

This place is the worst. It looks decent but the work is lack luster. I went to get a gel overlay. The guy gave me an acrylic overlay because he said the person at the front didnt tell him and he didn’t ask me either. Then he didn’t even attempt to correct it. The overlay was also super thick. They told me I could come back and they would redo it but I had to pay for the acrylic and then when I came back, pay the difference for the gel. Then they still didn’t do a good job. It looked like I needed a full by the end of the week because once again it was thick as hell. I will NEVER go there again.

I moved to the area from out of state about a year ago and I had been looking for a nail salon. When I get a mani/pedi, I am looking for a relaxing experience. I’ve tried more than I’d like to have, and have been fairly pleased with Lee Nails. NOW, that being said, the only person I go to is Mia. If Mia can’t do my nails, I won’t go. Some of the nail techs are more concerned with getting clients in and out, not actually servicing the client.

This is really the only place I trust in Bowie. Sure their priced a little on the high side, but I have always been a pleased customer. Great relaxing atmosphere, and CLEAN!(Something I seem to struggle to find around my way). I have gotten a standard mani + pedi. The people are generally friendly and don’t have endless convo’s to other tech’s shouting all over the place in 50 different languages(no shade, but sometimes that drives me crazy). It’s kind of in a odd location if your not familiar with the Bowie area. Other than slightly high prices and one time I had a lady that basically told me that I needed to get my eyebrows done(um, excuse me i’m not hairy. Actually I had just got them waxed two days prior smh) I would most certainly go back to this place if I had a special occasion coming up.

My GFs and I came here for 3 pedicure and 1 gel fill-in. We were greeted at the door by the receptionist and she scrambled around to see who could service us. I was less than thrilled with her attitude about us arriving 1 hour prior to closing. I was escorted to the back for service and while the tech was removing my polish, the receptionist came back to change my technician. Smh… she gave a long excuse as to why. Upside: Tee did an awesome job on my pedicure! She was engaging and pretty funny! GF#1 technician however was strictly work. He never said one word! My GF found his behavior kinda rude. GF #2 was not completely pleased with the rude gestures her technician would make when she wanted her to do something. She would prefer her to verbally tell her as opposed to making hand gestures. I am assumeing she was doing this because of limited English! This salon is GF #2’s regular salon and she’s been traditionally happy with her services and unfortunately her technician was not available this time! Coming back us a toss up for me!

This place is dirty, they don’t sanitize their intstruments at all. I don’t want dirty implements used on me. The other thing, they get pushy about waxing. I know for a fact that in Maryland manicurists are not licensed to wax, only hairdressers and facialists. I asked to see where they wax you and they showed me, there was dirty used stick in the wax pot. Yuk! I told them no thanks. This is why I never get waxed at these nail joints. I’m never coming back. Its just unsanitary. I don’t want a fungus or any infection.

I came in here almost out of defiance. I called a place where I got a deal on a manicure and set up an appointment and inquired about getting my eyebrows waxed as well. Do you know that they tried to tell me that it would be $ 18?! Are you kidding me?! PLEASE! Eyebrow waxing shouldn’t be anymore than $ 10. I told them«no.» Anyway, that had just happened when I drove by Lee’s Nails and Day Spa. I had been in once before to check out the prices for pedi/manis(not bad, but I found better prices elsewhere). When I was there the last time, though, I didn’t ask about eyebrow waxing. They said it would be $ 12(not bad), so I took it and stuck it to the other place. BOOYAH! They got me in and out very quickly and the lady did a great job on my brows. Save for being mildly insulting by going on and on about how thin and out of shape the hair on my brows were, she was alright. I would rather have someone do a good job and be efficient than a bad job and be super nice. I don’t have time for those sorts of games. Plus, they are pretty thin… she just didn’t have to keep saying so over and over and over and over again! LOL! It’s genetics, woman! I don’t know why there’s not a lot of hair there. It’s better to be that than overly hairy. Am I right or am I right?! LOL! Anyway — I’ll definitely be back. I alternate between threading and waxing and honestly prefer threading, but until I find a really good place around these parts, waxing it is.
