Worst Customer service I have ever got at a hair place. I made an appointment and after that I had to wait for and hour. Then after I got really annoyed I asked the manager and the hair stylist was so rude and disrespectful that I left and call the corporate to file a complain. My family use to go to this hair cutter now none of us go there. WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE. would never go back.

I was so impressed by my recent trip to the Hair Cuttery in Bowie Town Center. I’m not one to spend a lot of money on my haircuts, especially since I essentially get the same style every time, just a trip to take off some dead ends and shape it up a little. I stopped by this location as I had gotten out of work early and had some time to spare. It’s not near my house and had never been, but I figured it was just a trim so it didn’t really matter. It was a rainy day and business was slow, so I was helped right away. Krystal absolutely killed it. Great massage during the shampoo, a solid cut and an excellent blow out. She worked quick, but accurately and professionally. I usually don’t blow dry my hair, but given the yucky weather, she did and I felt like a rockstar. I’ve never once felt any loyalty or need to return for a particular stylist before, especially for such a simple trim, but I would absolutely go the 40 minutes out of my way to work with Krystal again. I’m used to mediocrity with Hair Cuttery(you get what you pay) so this experience far exceeded my expectations. With a price tag of $ 24 for a shampoo, cut and dry, and with the great work Krystal did, I’ll definitely be back.

Hair Cuttery, Bowie. Do not let the Asian/Filipino(not sure) women cut your hair – she is the worst stylist – horrible. I walked in with the cutest bob style ONLY looking to cut the back a little shorter. I now have short butchy uneven layers all over my head, and uneven bangs that fall directly into my eyes. She cut over 4 inches off my sides. Anyone with a bob cut trying to grow it out knows, you never want short layers, what a F’n mess I have. It will take at least three years to grow out this mess. The only thing she could say was, «We charge $ 18.00 dollars good price for cut.» I refused to pay and walked out. Interesting, she has long beautiful hair, I bet no one at the Hair Cuttery cuts it. If she needs a hair cut, I would be happy to give her one – free of charge! She had no idea what she was doing. I don’t think her English is up to par. It is extremely important that any stylist cutting hair must be able to communicate perfectly with the client, I also hold the manager responsible. The next day I went Regis in Annapolis Mall. The stylist was so nice I asked if she could do anything to help with my mess. Her comment was«I can help you, but I cannot give you a great hair cut since this one is very botched, but I can help you.» What do you say to her honesty? I let her cut my hair even shorter, but she was able to make the cut look cute, short but cute. There are too many very good salons(Bubbles, Regis, Robert Andrews, and Possibilities), do yourself a favor and stay away from the Hair Cutterys. If you have a nice style, and you are looking to keep it and only get a trim – Hair Cuttery is not the place for you. Think before you walk into a Hair Cuttery, do you want a great cut, or do you want an $ 18.00 dollar hair cut? The savings are great, but the chance you take with getting a really bad hair cut is not worth it. Save your hair from a bad experience.

Went to this location around 11:30 am, just to get a shampoo because I have box braids that itch to high heavens. So I walk in, nobody there so I figured I’d be serviced immediately, but no. There were three people here two female and one male. One female I saw when I pulled up was outside sitting down talking on the phone and loudly I might add. So when I walked in the other female asked what I needed, I told her a shampoo, mind you she wasn’t doing anything but braiding her own hair in the mirror. She went outside to get the other girl to ask her to wash my hair, the other girl was repeatedly shook her head no in a I guess a playful manner but them obliged but didn’t come inside. I waited… waited & waited as I watched her sit in front of the store and continue to talk on the phone. By this time it’s already NOON. So the other female ask the male barber where the girl was and he said«still outside on the phone» so the other female goes outside to get her again, this time the girl huffed & puffed about having to get off the phone but finally came in with an attitude with me like I was asking her to do anything other than her job. So she washed my hair and said it would be $ 10 for braids I said okay, paid & left. This location customer service sucks, I will NEVER be returning.

I love them! I have had several hair cuts at this location. Hydirah, Yadirah, Anastasia, Mr. Larry, Ms. Editha are all great. They all go out of their way to make the clients feel great and look great. My son hates hair cuts and they are super patient and understanding with him. I also love the great deals on the Redkin products.

The stylist I had, named Tiffany was super Awesome! She did a great job on my hair and was very pleasant! Some of the other stylist I noticed could improve on their customer service skills.

I have never walked out at a salon or given a review but the customer service was so horrible here! I gave it 3 chances and each visit got worse. The last time I was not acknowledged upon entering, they took a long time to check people in & I had to voice I was here first. When it should have been our turn the hair stylist took one look at us and went ahead to the next on list. The other client even asked weren’t we here first. At that point I just walked out knowing I had no desire to give them my money for such a bad experience. Happily, we ended up at a nearby salon in Bowie where we were charged less, got a great cut and received wonderful customer service!

I scheduled an appointment for 10 am. I checked in at the front desk and sat down. At 20 mins after 10, I got someone’s attention and told them I was waiting. «Oh, she’s not here yet.» was the response I received. I asked if she was coming and was told yes. I went to my car to wait and was reading my book and my cell phone rang. It was the stylist, «are you still coming to your appointment, b/c I’m here?» Really…

Wish we could go back in time. The cuts for both my husband and my son were horrible. We asked for a trim. My kid held perfectly still yet he has patches of almost bald spots in back and the front is completely crooked. It took 40 minutes(torture for a 2 yr old) and will take a month of growing in just to look reasonable. Bad service as well when a woman said she was going to cut their hair and then disappeared for 20 minutes, while 5 other stylists sat around. Bad bad bad.
