Sung to tune of «The Logical Song» by Supertramp When I was young, I thought this store was so wonderful, so magical, oh it was reasonable, practical. You could enter and see, all the aisles stocked healthily, tho messily, oh, goods for me and families. But college took me away to teach me how to be sensible, logical, oh, responsible, practical. then friends sent me a word, that made me feel uncomfortable, cynical, incredible, yet consolable. Those old times, when no one seemed to sweep, Were gone with a new lease, and new owner’s simple plan. For some clean, clean changes had occurred, I know it sounds absurd, in downtown Bowdoinham. But watch what you change, or they’ll be calling you a radical, too liberal, oh fanatical, criminal. But they still know you’re name, and make you feel you’re acceptable, still sell alcohol, oh, and Lunchables, and vegetables. (sik sax solo) Well in spite. of changes, they still keep, their prices not too steep– a simple business plan. Get your meats, cheese, breads and box of nerds, Convenience is the word, in downtown Bowdoinham.
