If you are planning on making a trip to have dinner, or lunch. And you may be driving out of your way for it. Dont. The building burned down on 5÷30÷16 … Sad,

Stopped in for dinner while staying in the area for a gymnastics competition. Food and service were both very good. I had the blackened redfish New Orleans and ate every bite. I ordered a draft beer(Canebrake) and it came out in a HUGE goblet. Next time we’re here I’ll definitely come back.

If you are a seafood lover the buffet is worth the price. To have boiled shrimp, crawfish, Dungeness crabs, snow crabs and King crabs is awesome. The fried items are shrimp soft shell crabs frog legs plus raw oysters. The place gets packed but it’s all worth it to me.

Pretty overrated by most people around here. Everything is decent, but not something I ever crave. The catfish and shrimp are decent that’s usually what I get. Typical seafood, nothing special. I have never had buffet, I’m not a huge seafood person.

$ 34.something for all you can eat seafood! Included raw oysters, fried soft shell crab, snow crab, king crab, Jonah crab, shrimp, boiled crawfish, fried okra, Mac and cheese, and more. I really enjoyed the crabs, crawfish, Mac and cheese and oysters. It was my first time having raw oysters on the half shell so I was nervous at first, but turned out to be delicious and couldn’t get enough! Would recommend showing up around 6pm for dinner… showed up at 5:15ish and at first the food wasn’t very hot because of the slow turnover and a little lukewarm, then by the second plate it was phenomenal! Any later and then there were lines of customers waiting. Only disappointment was that once it got really busy they stopped replenishing the raw oysters I had begun to love… couldn’t get enough! King, soft shell, Jonah, and snow crabs were delicious-fresh and well cooked. Really enjoyed the crawfish-nicely albeit lightly seasoned. Shrimp was okay and fried okra was great. Mac and cheese was the best… could tell it was made from real cheddar cheese and not the processed stuff. Good service, good food, worth the money.

After having a bad experience(fell into a tourist trap) in the French Quarter for dinner our first night in New Orleans, we did our Unilocal research looking for local seafood restaurants and came across Zydeco’s. We originally planned on going to the Belle Chasse location, but they weren’t offering their seafood buffet because of renovations. The Boutte location is about a 30 – 40 min drive from the Garden District of New Orleans(Close to french quarter) and totally worth it. We arrived at 5:30(the place opens at 5 for dinner) and it was definitely on the slow side, but by 6, the place was packed and many families were waiting at the door for tables! From the looks of it, this place is a local favorite(not a tourist place!) especially since they were so packed for a wednesday night! The buffet’s turnover became a lot faster at 6 and food was hot. Our waiter was very on point and frequently checked on us and took away seafood shells and plates. Zydeco’s has a menu offering a large variety of seafood dishes, but we opted for the seafood buffet at 33.50 $ per person and it was great! It included raw oysters, boiled crawfish, Jonah’s crabs, shrimp, King crabs, snow crab legs, and fried soft shell crab, shrimp, frog legs, and more!(i didn’t get to try all the fried seafood and am definitely missing some since the boiled seafood was hogging all my attention!) The seafood all tasted great and fresh. I’ve been to many seafood buffets and this one is definitely at the top of the list. Will surely be back the next time Im in new orleans. On top of that, they have free wifi which makes it even better!

High End Buffet– with the Food To Match Zydeco’s Cajun Restaurant How many of us ever thought you could get full on king crabs? Well here’s your chance at a buffet that serves these and many other items that are top notch. King crabs are just not on any seafood buffet to my knowledge in this area. If you ever went to Sam’s Club to purchases these to prepare, you well know how much this delicacy costs –so at a charge of 34.00 for this buffet, it’s bargain not to miss. The other items I tried on this visit that were equally as good are the jonah crabs, stuffed crabs, frog legs and soft shell crabs. Besides that, upon request, they serve one of the best bread puddings I ever had. If you visit, ask them for the punch card which after the 6th visits the seventh visit is half price. There are other items I didn’t get a chance to try because I most ate the king crabs.

I really like this place, it’s a local seafood restaurant in a small town but I love it, I have had the buffet a few times it’s so good it’s a little high but if your looking to try it and not spend so much try the lunch buffet it’s worth it, there fried pickles mmmm fried shrimp salad amazing ! There crab legs and soft shell crabs are delicious. It’s a pretty big place so there’s hardly a wait and the staff is very on point and friendly

We came on a Sunday evening right at 5pm and we were seated immediately. You can order off the menu or opt for the seafood buffet. The Buffet is $ 34 a person, $ 10 for kids. Buffet options include dungeness crab legs, King crab legs, boiled crab and shrimp, soft shell crab, and an assortment of other seafood and sides. The price is worth it just for the crab legs… they are huge! Bread pudding is complimentary with the buffet. The restaurant has a full service bar and friendly staff.

I was craving some good ‘ol cajun seafood and decided to go to Zydeco. I was greeted by a smiling hostess and told her I wanted my food to go so she directed me to the bar for my order. The bartender was super cool and honest about the different selections served there. She recommended the salmon WITH Bbq shrimp(3) and dirty rice. The meal came with a side house salad and french bread which came out to about $ 18.50 with tax. The salmon was well seasoned with cajun goodness but the shrimp and dirty rice stole the show. The bartender warned me that the dish was spicy… Nahhh. Had to dash some Louisiana hot sauce to get to my level of spiciness. Would definitely come here again.

I ordered the gumbo and it was horrible. The service is not even worth one star. The waitress took the nasty so called gumbo away and never offered me anything else. I do not recommend this place. Go to Bush LA for good seaffod. Long drive but we’ll worth the trip.

Zydecos is ok. The wait staff isn’t the great. The food is very inconsistent because its seafood and you get what they have due to seafood seasons falling at different times around the year. Don’t do the dinner buffet it is crazy expensive. For two people to eat here you will spend almost 40 $.

The staff was very nice and courteous. My only problem is the prices are just too high. I understand the price of seafood is high but this was a tad much. The soft shell crab were small and the fish was downright terrible. The oysters and shrimp were good, but not worth the price I paid for the meal. We didn’t try the buffet because I just couldn’t justify dropping $ 175 for our family to eat it.

At first I hated the place. Was unhappy with the food but over time it has gotten better. My major gripe is with the quality of some of the pasta dishes. They could use some improvement. I keep going back for the absolutely delicious bayou rolls(must try!) and my love of seafood buffets. Yeah it’s a little pricey but it’s hard to find dungeons crab around here. My son also love the buffet, gumbo and the boiled crawfish and corn.

Just walked in with my daughter. Was seated right away but then sat there for at least 6mins without anyone even approaching our table. While I watched at least 4 waiters and waitresses walk by. Not one said hello I’ll be right with you nothing. I have eaten here numerous times I live in Luling service is always tolerable but not good today was ridiculous. Will not be back here. I’ll drive to Kenner Metairie and give my business there. Oh and the hostess is a joke. When I told her I was leaving because no one came to our table in a timely manner she rolled her eyes and said ok. I could understand the wait if they were busy but they weren’t. At all.

Came here with a group of coworkers for a late lunch while visiting greater Boutte, LA. This place was said to be a local favorite of the area, mainly because of the seafood buffet. After perusing the buffet offerings and being less than impressed, I ordered the lump crab cakes and a side of jambalaya. The crab cakes look as if they are battered and fried with fish batter. They tasted pretty darn good with the romulade sauce that comes with it. The side of jambalaya was the tomato-based kind which is not my favorite. Also, some of the rice grains were not fully cooked and got stuck in my teeth. I sent it back and ordered a side of fries instead. The waitress was really polite and apologetic about the undercooked rice. Not a huge deal but this place was kinda«eh» for me. I will note that one of my coworkers got the Seafood platter and cleaned his plate. He said his meal was very good. So maybe try that if you come here while in the area.

Drove here after our trip to Destrehan Plantation, this is a short drive over the 310 bridge. They offered a buffet, but it was $ 33 and we weren’t quite hungry enough to justify that. As it turns out, our meals were plenty to fill us up. The seafood on offer at the buffet did look really good, though. Instead, we ordered the salmon and shrimp with dirty rice, and the alligator sausage po boy/seafood gumbo combo. We got the«Bayou rolls» appetizer — egg roll filled with crawfish, shrimp, seasonings with an addictive dipping sauce. If you are visiting New Orleans and want to try out Cajun food, come out here and check this place out.

The dinner seafood buffet is the best around the New Orleans area. For the price you can get all the shrimp, crawfish, catfish, gumbo, etc. that you care to eat. Very fresh salad bar. friendly staff. They have a loyalty program for the great lunch buffet, buy 10 next buffet on them! Casual décor.

The service is horrible. I had lunch here a few times just because I was meeting other people. It takes forever to get your food. Don’t expect to get a refill on your drink. The food isn’t very good and the prices are way too high. I gave the seafood buffet a try once. The extremely high price I had to pay for it made me think I was going to get some great boiled seafood. I was VERY wrong. The seasoning they use is horrible. I will not be wasting my money on that again.

I worked in the town of Boutte on the 5-14-2013. I was told by a teacher at the local high school about this place. After eating here I did thank her for recommending this place. I ordered the Catfish Platter with the sweet potato fries. The catfish was crispy and well seasoned. The sweet potato fries were very good. The food was hot and not at all greasy. The price of the food was reasonable and the service was okay. I will be working in the area again in the fall. God willing I will visit again.
