Knights Inn

Knights Inn in Bourne, MA (Buzzards Bay) is located right next to the traffic circle after the Bourne Bridge (on the way to Cape Cod). If you think you might stay there instead of staying on the Cape to save money… you might want to rethink. They claim the motel is newly renovated on the outside. This just means that the front of the motel has new siding. The parking lot is in the rear, so you can see from the back what the whole place used to look like.
The staff when we checked in were not friendly. But, when we checked out, it was a different person, who was quite friendly. This was about the only plus. The rooms were incredibly smelly (non-​smoking room). Even with the door and window open it smelled like pure old. Both the sink in the bathroom and the shower had extremely sluggish drains (I don’t even want to know…). The bed was OK. I didn’t see any bugs like other reviews I read on the internet stated. The last thing I want to comment on before I try and erase this stay from memory is the complimentary breakfast. Let’s just say I’ve never seen any breakfast more pathetic. The coffee looked, smelled, and tasted terrible, and the assorted pastries were still a bit frozen. Thank goodness there was a Dunkin Donuts a mile or so down the road.
