Cafe Rio

Excelent food, fast service and the price was right.
Floors and tables were little untidy and the room was little too noisy.
As a first timer the ordering was bit confusing with all the choices but the personel was friendly and helped.

This café rio is always out of something. Went there the other night and walked up to order and they said «sorry we are closed. We are out of everything». I don’t know what they were out of. I thought that was the worst customer service ever. Usually I really like café rio.

Teresa, who I believe is the manager, is truly the best. People like her are why I choose Café Rio a over other restaurants. Her leadership and problem solving ability is of the best. Well above the competitions leadership. Good food is everywhere, but good people are far less common. I just moved into the area and will be a loyal customer as long as Teresa and her leadership are there. Thanks! Very yummy tamale!

The food is ok but if they could they would charge you $ 5 for water… Or maybe they do. They charged the same price for a cheese quesadilla as a burrito and when it was brought up to the staff they said they couldn’t do anything about it. The prices listed don’t match the price they charge you. Not sure who does their pricing but I think they may think they are a 5-​star restaurant instead of a fast food restaurant… Thanks but I think I will just go to Taco Bell next time.

I am a lover of Café Rio, but this Bountiful location is by far the WORST!!! I ordered online this evening, it was 40 minutes late. There were people ahead of me that were waiting longer than I.
The team was sitting there not working in the back. They offered free drinks, but they should be more customer service oriented. I will not be going back to this location and would love to hear from the owner!

I feel like people are being a tad bit dramatic about the whole waiting in line thing and workers not working fast enough. If you go here on a weekend night… i guarantee its going to be busy DUH because Café Rio is delicious. I get the sweet pork salad with the wheat tortilla. The tortilla is so good in the ranch. No complaints, love the mango lemonade!

We frequent this location often, food is usually consistent. But yesterdays experience, got the sweet pork burrito to go, once home and had a couple bites. Something was off, either the meat was rotten or it was tainted with some sort of kitchen detergent… After a couple of bites, threw it out. Will be a while before I want to try again.

This review is for call in orders. Don’t call. I waited on the phone for 40 minutes and in that time actually went there only to see that nobody was answering the phone. It was ringing nonstop. Great food, horrible customer service. Order online instead.

My husband and I arrived about an hour before closing on a Sunday night so the restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived. Every time we’re in town (we live on the East Coast, which is deprived of any good Mexican food) we always make it a point to stop by Café Rio. There was no wait at all so it was great (and of the times we’ve gone to the restaurant they’re usually pretty quick anyway.) The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and we both ordered chicken burritos enchilada style. Given it was the end of the night, they were already out of most of the items but the guy behind the counter was super friendly and made suggestions to replace ingredients. Even if it was only the two of us in line he was pretty speedy. One tip: just be very clear which sauce you want on your burrito since they had made a mistake. The woman at the check-​out was also super friendly. It was the end of the night so the restaurant was pretty messy with used dishes piled on tables but I think this is more a reflection of the customers who may not know how to get rid of their garbage. Overall great place for takeout!

One of my absolute favorite places to eat! I love the tostadas, salads, burritos, nachos.. . let’s face it, I like it all!

Love this place! Always have. Love the fresh food. Love that I can customize everything about my meal! My go to is the tostadas with chicken. I do asked for shredded lettuce. Not so awkward to eat. I also ask them to drain my beans do it doesn’t make my meal runny.
Found my new love this time around… coconut shrimp tacos! Wow!
I love that I earn free meals and it includes a drink! I also like that when you pay for a meal a kids meal is free! Awesome

The service at this location is AWFUL. I’m actually surprised because I’ve had great food and service no matter which location I’ve gone to in Utah until tonight. It wasn’t busy but yet there I was in line for 45 minutes while the staff just joked with each other and talked instead of helping the line move along.

Chili relleno is the special but at 5 pm you are sold out seriously. The worst service anywhere

If you ever have been to chipotle down south this place is like that but better! Got their fire grilled chicken burrito and chips and queso. Pretty good stuffs. Love that they carry all kinds of hot sauce and all kinds of drinks. ESPECIALLY HORCHATA!

Great as always. I had the pork salad, a café rio classic. Meat, rice and beans were nice and hot. Excellent.

This place never disappoints me. I eat here every few months and it’s amazing every time. Their shredded beef is so fresh and flavorful. Their tortillas are fresh, soft and delicious.
I love their salads and burritos. If you get a salad, you must go with their house dressing, tomatillo. It’s to die for. And my favorite is their chili con queso dipping sauce for their chips. It is amazing. My only complaint is that because they make it fresh every day, sometimes it is too thick and doesn’t taste as good; it’s a little too flour-​y. But when it’s made correctly, it’s the best queso dip I’ve ever had.
Bonus is that when you dine in, kids get a free cheese quesadilla. They’re small, so they are perfect for younger children.
And their special drinks are incredible also. You can’t go wrong with this place.

Horrible customer service! They act like they are doing you a favor. The cashier (american man middle 30’s) has the worst customer service, and has a horrible attitude. Asked him a simple question — «do you have horchata?» His reply we dont make them an hr before closing!
If your open until 10pm you should offer all items on your menu, this only happens at your location.

The one thing consistent about this location is your order will be Wrong!
Every damn time, wrong!
I’ve emailed them to tell them how consistent they are on screwing up orders.
They gave no response…
Speak Greek when you call in an order and you’ll have a better chance of getting what you paid for.

The food was still good. But the customer service at this location was quite a bit worse then what I have come to expect from café rio.

I have to be completely honest. If not for this location I would hardly ever go to Café Rio. I like their food, their price, a bit high but you can at least share most meals the portions are so big.
This location rocks! They are so so friendly so up beat, know how to make you smile and they get the line moving fast. If you walk in and see a big line do t worry I promise it goes fast. I love that they sing haha makes me laugh every time. My food has never been messed up which is a plus and I can’t say that for other locations I have been to.
If you love Café Rio you will love this location. Best one I have been to hands down!
