Bountiful Temple

Love visiting the Bountiful temple. This is a sacred building. You may visit and walk around the outside if you are not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-​day Saints, but you will not be allowed inside. What a lovely place to start or end your day! This beautiful castle-​like temple is set high on the hill, right next to the East Mountains in Bountiful.
There is a large parking lot, both outside and underground. Really, it’s huge, but it’s usually pretty busy. So if you are trying to make a session, leave a littler earlier than planned so you can find a parking spot and get to the temple on time.
The architecture is stunning. And if you get a chance to even walk around the temple grounds, take it. There is lots of symbolism that goes into each temple; for example, take a look at the sun etched into the columns. There are also lots of Native American sun designs throughout the temple, so keep your eyes peeled!

Face the temple and keep your thoughts centered on The Lord, life is full of trials but it’s easier when you have help from someone who never leaves you alone.

This is a really beautiful temple, inside and out.
There isn’t a visitors center at this location. A nice place to view the city or tour the grounds.
There is a huge parking lot with a lot of space available.

Friday nights and Saturdays are often VERY busy. With the Ogden Temple currently closed, Bountiful is pretty busy almost every night. If you can visit during the day, you’ll have a better chance of not waiting as long to get in. Although if you have to just patiently sit and wait somewhere, the chapel of the temple is about as good as it gets.
Non-​church members welcome but be aware there is no ‘visitor’s center’ or other accommodations so you’ll mostly just hang around outside, which is still gorgeous.
