My husband went to Walters and Hogsett for my engagement ring, and we went there together for our wedding bands. Emily was incredibly awesome to work with. She helped my husband design my custom engagement ring, and after that helped us both select our wedding bands. She was always very helpful with questions and patient with us taking our time to make decisions. It amazed us how she remembered details about what we liked and didn’t better than we could. I still enjoy going in, saying hi, and having my ring cleaned. Their jewelry selection is also unique, beautiful, and always changing. Highly recommended.

The Staff at Walters & Hogsett in Boulder is first-​rate. Parking is easy and convenient. The store location is ideal. Look for product expos and jewelry designer shows. Their products are first class. You will be greeted in a warm and courteous manner and will receive the best service possible. Ask questions, expect the best and you will receive the best. Ask for Tamara, Emily, Morgan or Don. You will be very pleased.

A great place for getting ears pierced! I recently took my 6 year old who wanted to get her ears pierced. She was nervous but Don Janson was great. She felt confortable and they look great! The total cost was about $ 48 for the piercings and studs (beautiful gold spheres).
Don said to come back in 4 – 6 weeks when he will take the studs out and put in her next earrings (birthstone studs for about $ 75).
As a mom, I was nervous, but I felt much better about the quality and attention my daughter got.
Also, there were lots of other customers in the store (probably spending a lot more than $ 48) but that didn’t stop Don and the others from giving attention to my daughter. I think she felt like a princess.

I am not very comfortable in jewelry stores. But my experience at Walters and Hogsett was very comfortable and we found just what we were looking for. No hard sell. Just kind and easy-​going people that work there. The owners were there and seem very hands-​on. I am a new fan!

Walters and Hogsett made our custom rings 22 years ago. For our 15^th anniversary we brought them back for a check up and a diamond upgrade on mine and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the new diamond, a beautiful sparkling emerald cut, and the first class customer service. They even shipped the newly modified ring out of state for us. The people that work at this business have always been top notch in their field. Thank you for providing us with life long, lasting and beautiful tokens of our love. I’ve gotten MANY compliments throughout the years. They are the best.

I received a watch as a gift from my sister and twice I have needed it adjusted. Both times I dropped in and the staff were incredibly helpful and made my adjustments promptly and with the same service I would expect as if I were buying a new watch from them. It’s nice to know that that their service is top notch, and never tied to a purchase, as is the case with many jewelry stores. No pressure, just great service.

After reading the prior review, I also took my six-​year-​old to Walters and Hogsett to have her ears pierced. We, too, had a wonderful experience. Don Janson has pierced, as he put it, «hundreds of ears.» The expertise shows. He was very patient with my daughter, and with me, as I expressed concern about the placement of the holes. Turns out, Don was absolutely right about where they should go. In addition, I’m not aware of anywhere else in town where one can have ear-​piercing done with 14k studs for under $ 50. Given that the studs can be worn as regular earrings after the piercing heals, I can’t get over the value.– A great and memorable experience!

My six year old wanted to get her ears pierced and I was skeptical of taking her to a place in the mall or a kids salon so I googled «Best Ear Piercing for Kids». Near the top of the list was Walters and Hogsett. The review stood out for two reasons; one it mentioned years of experience (as opposed to a young distracted salon or accessory store employee) and two a culturally acceptable place to take kids (no tatoos or scary images on the walls of a piercing parlor).
We were very happy with the service, the price and the friendliness of the employees at Walters and Hogsett. The gentleman that pierced my daughter’s ears was patient, gentle and kind.

As others have posted, Mark is AWESOME! I had a custom ring designed using my husband’s grandmothers ring, they were able to help me design a beautiful custom wedding ring that I can wear with pride for years. Mark is warm and helpful, and very good at listening to what I was hoping to have in my wedding ring, he did not try to push something that he thought would be good, but rather honored what I was wanting to have designed. The store is beautiful and everyone is professional and helpful. I would recommend this wonderful family owned jewelry store to anyone that wants great service, great quality and a fair price!!!

What a gem this store is! It is a very upscale jeweler with quality pieces, but they won’t hesitate to serve whatever you need no matter price range. I brought in two sterling silver bracelets and a watch band and was in hiking clothes. I was immediately greeted cheerfully as I walked through the door, treated with courtesy and respect. There was nothing ostentatious or uppity there, but only a very obvious desire to serve the customer. Mark worked with me to get the resizing exactly what I wanted on the bracelets and watch band. Then once we were sure that was right, and Mark took the time to try and retry and try again, John (aka «the torch guy») did meticulous quality craftsman work. Mark and John just hung in there and made sure I was happy with no hesitation to tweak some more and no pressure to accept it until right. They polished my inexpensive ss bracelets and we had a wonderful chat — two nice gentlemen who just seem happy in their work. Service was fast. Quality was high. Courtesy was off the charts! Whatever your jeweler need, I recommend you try here first — don’t assume their prices will be unreasonable. They are professionals and provide quality service at an honest and fair price. I will go here first for all my needs from a watch battery change to a jewelry purchase. To be honest I haven’t seen this level of service and expertise in a long time and it is refreshing. I can’t count the number of times I have looked in display cases for a long time before anyone came to help in the big chain jewelers. That’s not the case here. Yeah I was incredibly impressed and extremely satisfied! This is a long time family owned small business with high level of quality and service and will get my accolades and future support.

My husband and I had wedding bands custom made here 3 years ago and Mark made sure everything was perfect for us. Two weeks ago my inexpensive sterling silver ring broke so I brought it in, and although it wasn’t an expensive fix or profit for them, they did it without hesitation and still provided top-​notch service. I was even more impressed that after 3 years of not being in the shop, Mark still recognized me and knew my name off the top of his head. This place really cares about customers and the rings all turned out beautifully!
