I lived here for nearly four years and enjoyed my experiences there very much. Yes, the rent can be pricey, but Boulder is affluent and rentals are in demand. I think the prices are very fair for what you get — great spaces with lots of natural light. The newly renovated units are lovely, with high quality appliances. I also love the North Boulder location, close to gorgeous trails and my favorite brewery in town, Upslope. I wanted to take a second to praise the staff at Uptown. Meredith and Regan are helpful, considerate and knowledgeable professionals. The maintenance team is awesome, too, and they took care of my requests quickly and effortlessly(from the perspective of a non-handy person like me).

The worst part is, I like the apartment, and love the location. With renting, and such high rental costs, you expect a high level of service. We had a ceiling leak due to poor building maintenance. The leak stained furniture, and almost fried two laptops and hard drives. Luckily we caught the leak before it did. The leak was reported immediately(Friday). The onsite maintenance guy came and examined the problem. We were informed that a fix would come on Monday, understandable with the weekend, but still. No one came, called, or emailed. By Wednesday I called again(third time) and was told no one was contacted to fix the leak! We were told Thursday, then Friday. Nothing. Took off three days of work to stay home to get the fix done, no contact. We were finally told Wednesday, but it wasn’t finished until Thursday. Almost two weeks later. Half of my living space was rendered useless for almost two weeks. Plenty of apologies, no amends. The complex is understaffed, and service follow-through is highly lacking. I like the people who work here, they just need to get the more help. We will not be renewing, but looking for a place in the area. It’s too bad…
