The store is MUCH tidier and better kept since the new management took over. The departments are easily defined and the staff is always very knowledgeable about what is or isnt in stock. Theres not much staff so sometimes the wait at the register is a bit longish but overall a great place to shop

We went here the other day and there were maybe 4 people shopping around, but there was no sign of an employee ANYWHERE. We had found a few things for our house and were making our way up to the front to buy them but there was a woman who apparently had been waiting for a sales person to acknowledge her presence. No one came out even after she went back into the employees only area. During this time two people left with several purchases which included us. This place reminded us of a deserted mall from a zombie movie. Shelves that look like they’ve been ransacked and a general feeling of discontent and malaise. Besides the fact there was no music or sound of any kind in the store. One star for general horribleness, 5 stars for a place to freak your kid out around halloween.

Every time I’m at this store, it seems the customer service just gets worse. The disorganization is acceptable, especially since it is a discount store. However, whenever you ask for any type of service, you are typically met with grumpy compliance or at best a rushed and hurried clerk who seems to be much more interested in stocking her items than paying attention to customers. This morning I was interested in a $ 150 painting… because it was snowing I asked if something could be done to protect it with plastic for loading into my car. The clerk was very clear that she wasn’t going to be of any help and simply offered a paper wrapping(it was snowing!!) She finally said they had some big plastic bags and I suggested we cut them up and cover the painting(over 3 ft by 4 ft) that way. I walked away… just didn’t want to deal with it. I could understand if I was buying something for a few dollars, but this wwas substantial money and the painting would have been ruined if not covered with plastic or something to keep out the wet. My husband went with me a few weeks ago so I could show him something I was possibly going to buy. He got so disgusted with the attitude of the clerk that we just walked away. They have some nice and interesting things and I often visit this store just to have a look or look at the items in their ad(which they are almost always out of!). But, sure do wish they could improve the attitudes of the store attendants!

Terrible customer service today at Tuesday Morning. I was returning an item, with the original packaging and my receipt. The cash register person was bitching and constantly chastising me throughout the entire return process and in front of other customers who were also astounded at her behavior. She said the courteous thing to do would have been to return the item to its packaging. As you know at times this is difficult, small package, folded in a particular way to fit. The item was in its original condition, clean and packaging included in the bag. Lest you think this was a poorly trained employee, it was NOT. Her tag said Store Manager. I only hope her boss is reading this post. I won’t be back.

This is an excellent spot to purchase household paper products in addition to seeing what overstock they’ve obtained for sales on their shelves. Additionally, bedding and towels are a good value here. Service isn’t the best, but what do you expect from a deeply discounted retailer…

I’m torn here between a 4 and a 5 star rating, I’m just gonna put that up front. Tuesday Morning is stashed in a little strip mall area in South Boulder off Broadway and Table Mesa, the same lot that Savers is in… and seems to have everything that Savers wouldn’t. Lamps(I bought a 27W energy saver lamp that cranks out 150W of lumens for $ 50, half of what it’s supposed to go for). There are tables, pots, artwork for your house(a bizarrely large number of oil paintings of roosters and chickens, though), towels, pillows, mattress pads, cutlery(some of it actually the good stuff), reading glasses, toys, puzzles, gourmet sauces & jams, a small assortment of consigned clothing(I imagine most of it gets over to Savers across the lot), and just a whole ton of things, both knick-knacks and things you might lunge for if you see if, for 50−80% off retail. It *is* organized, but pretty haphazardly; and very friendly help there. I’m gonna go a bit further than Liz’s review and say that Tuesday Morning is the mutant offspring of Crate & Barrel and Bed, Bath and Beyond. But one worth visiting!
