Fantastic service, food was good too. Bison was interesting but I didnt notich much of a difference. Wedge salad was as it should be. A bit too much sea salt on the vegetables but excusable.

Timing was askew. About 3 minutes after our appetizer was served we were brought our salad, and about 3 – 4 minutes later we were served our dinner. Not a busy day. I saw only 3 tables for lunch/dinner and folks at the bar.

I had an interesting experience here. The food tasted like good intentions, but a couple technical snafus brought the rating to a 2. We were tourists in the city and were lured inside by the promise of some delicious bison. The hostess was a little frosty but our server was warm and inviting so we forgot about it. We were super pleased to hear all the food is fresh fresh fresh! No freezers here! The little dish of pickles were delicious as well. We ordered a Swiss and mushroom bison burger, mid rare, and a farmhouse salad, no bacon, which I was assured by the server was no problem. The burger arrived and looked AWESOME. A thick patty and fries on the side. The fries were amazing. The burger tasted good as well, but it was cooked medium well at best. Just the tiniest hint of pink in the middle — certainly not mid rare. Also, neither of us could tell the difference between the bison patty and a regular beef patty. The salad arrived, and the flavor profile was great, but they forgot to hold the bacon! Probably wouldn’t come back here.

Visited here for dinner after the CU game on September 12. Thank goodness CU won the game! Go Buffs! Needless to say, we were very disappointed. Ted’s appeared to have many things in its favor: good location and good menu(viewed online). While the location was pretty good on the east side of Pearl Street, its execution of the menu was less than worthy. Where to start? I thought that the prime rib would be a «safe» choice but I was wrong. I ordered my prime rib to be medium-rare but it came out as blood rare. I rarely(no pun intended) send back my entrée, but I had to in this situation. It looks like the kitchen threw the slab of meat onto a skillet, cooked it a bit more, and then sent it back. Say what? Why couldn’t they given me another slice that was medium-rare? We ordered the strawberry shortcake for dessert. While the waitress was thoughtful and brought 3 spoons and 3 small plates to share the dessert, it appears that the plates had just came out of the dishwasher. That meant that each plate was hot to the touch which wasn’t going to work with the ice cream foundation of the strawberry shortcake. I’m surprised that the waitress didn’t feel the heat coming off of the plates! Overall, a very disappointing experience and my wife and sister-in-law were of the same opinion. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the many other restaurants in that general area.

Best burger I’ve ever had. Actually, I am a great lover of all things meat & even I didn’t know the beef &/or bison could taste so amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly to order. The fries were my absolute favorite ever, they reminded me of the old fashioned fresh cut fries served in my hometown’s local Chickenette. Service was impeccable & atmosphere was very classic. Great for a casual evening out or for dressing up for a romantic dinner. The refrigerator dill pickles they serve before the meal are a fresh treat, reminiscent of old recipes from grandma’s. Will definitely be back.

I ordered the 17 burger with bison and mushrooms on top. The horseradish cheese was amazing. I would highly recommend this burger to anyone and would order it again. Most of the onion rings were perfect but one was so shriveled and dried out inside that it was inedible. My boyfriend got a green burger with jalapeños and guacamole and he absolutely loved his burger too. The spiciness of the jalapeños was nicely offset by the guac. His fries were good as well. He usually loves catsup or ranch but when he tried the horseradish sauce he said that’s now his new favorite for fries :) Don’t miss the chocolate shake. It’s better than dessert! Tastes just like I remember as a kid. Smooth quality ice cream and generous amount of chocolate. Love the metal spoon to scoop out the rest when the straws don’t suffice. Would order this again too! The crab cake appetizer was the only disappointing part of our meal. The taste of cumin or a similar spice was so pervasive that the flavor of crab was indiscernible. We only ate one bite and sent it back. Very disappointing but that’s a matter of taste. Took a long time to get water, catsup, and horseradish, but the shake came out quickly. Overall excellent food.

I visited Ted’s twice while on a trip to Boulder. Both times the food was very good. During our first visit we had: Avalon chicken sandwich, chicken caesar salad and a meatloaf sandwich. The second time we were there for happy hour. My only complaint is that they have a poor beer selection. For a specialty restaurant like this, they should have more interesting beers than the standard Anheuser Busch selections. For lower prices, definitely go during happy hour. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly.

Plenty of room at noon on a Th lunch hour– that’s great for business meetings of 6 – 7 fools who’re gonna be talking, but not so good when you’re told you’re bein’ brought to a slammin’ joint and there’s nobody there. Reminded me of that scene in American Psycho where Patrick Bateman brings(the real) Paul Allen to that joint, the latter’s all like, «This is really a beehive of, uh, activity, Halberstam. This place is hot, very hot.» But, whatever– the burger’s are slammin’. GF buns, plenty o’ fries, and they start you with some pickle chips that you’ll literally fight over. Only other weirdness(than stated above) was there was some beef simmerin’ between the staff, and it wasn’t overt… but we caught some looks and exchanged mutterings-under-breaths that were a little off putting. She-beaux loves a burger– I’m sure I’ll be back.

My mom is allegric to gluten and soy, which makes it pretty difficult to find places to eat while travel. Our waiter, Josh, was inredibly friendly and totally understood — they have a dedicated frier for thier gluten-free food, they don’t use soy(or soy oil) in the resturant, and they were very careful to work with us and triple check everything so my mom could eat. The manager also stopped by our table for a chat — he was also very friendly. Anyways, they treat food allergies very seriously and want to make sure everyone can eat. The customer service was great, the food was very good for the price, and we left the place very satisfied. We’d definitely go again — my mom is just upset they haven’t opened up any locations in CA.

We are fan of Ted’s in Westminster and this is the first time we have eaten at the Boulder location. We got a booth toward the back of the restaurant and our server was delightful. A Texan native now planted in Boulder, Sisco was warm, friendly and very entertaining. We started with a side of onion rings — I am not typically a fan of onion rings but Ted’s are handmade on the premises and are amazing! Even I love them! You get 5 in a side serve and 10 in the appetizer size. Hubby had George’s Cadillac Burger(his fave) with a side of fries and I had the Red Bird Half Chicken which came with garlic mash and broccoli. Everything was delicious. My chicken meal was huge so I took leftovers home. For drinks hubby had a Fat Tire and I had a glass of Malbec — very nice. Only disappointment was they didn’t have New Belgium Brewing’s 1554 dark beer(Westminster usually has it on tap). Again, our server Sisco was fabulous — she totally made our night. She is the best server we have had in a long time. It was also nice the manager stopped by to check we were happy with our meal. Naturally, we will return.

A nice place, comfortable booths, consistant and good food, great service. It’s a chain but without the chain feel. It’s not fancy or all that unique, but very good.

Very good food, the service was amazing. I really enjoy Ted’s. We had this girl named Shawna and she’s amazing. I would definitely come back. Love the food, and the only complaint if I had one would be the fries were a little over done.

there was something on the wine glass… I pointed out but the server didn’t bother to change out. All-american place that is famous for the Bison. Especially this place fits in with Boulder the buff town

The draft beer selection was a bit lacking especially for Boulder where we have so many great local breweries. But you can get most common beers on tap and a few less common(although fairly common Boulder) bottles for a premium fee. The food was quite good, though. The bison chili was nice and meaty, with a couple slices of jalapeño, which was perfect. The Green and Hot burger was great, and a step or two above your average«caliente» or spicy burger. High quality ingredients and just spicy enough so I didn’t have to ask for hot sauce. Would get what I had again and we will definitely be back for more!

Ted’s is always my 10 year old’s first choice in downtown dining. I think he loves sitting at the bar, watching the tube, playing with the waxy string they give kids. Things he never gets to do when he dines at Mom and Dad’s favorites! So, occasionally on Mom-Son date night, I indulge. And really, I have nothing bad to say about Ted’s. They make consistently decent food, the wait staff is attentive and well-trained, and the atmosphere always pleasant. But…It is a chain restaurant, the food isn’t GREAT and there is something about the same-ness each time I eat here that just bothers me. So… three stars. Two for always making my son happy and one for consistency and generally satisfying food.

A good option if you want to eat buffalo(we had French visitors in town and they loved it). Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff, good food and drinks. We had buffalo burgers and meatloaf, a couple desserts(big enough to share), beer, wine and cocktails), everything tasty. But, our food was not hot, just warm, and this is not acceptable. Especially surprising considering that it was a Tuesday night and the place was far from busy.

1st time(Nov. 5th) I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and it was great. Steak was great! 2nd time(Nov. 22nd) We brought 2 other couples with us and the services was slow but it was pretty busy… Me and one other got a burger and we were pleased… everyone else got steak and it was cool. 3rd time(valentines day) we had reservations and came 5 min early… still had to wait 15min after set reservations. Got sat appetizers and drinks came out on time but entrée took a hour… ridiculous! they discounted our ticket by 50% which made us come back. 4th time we both got steak it was cool again. I don’t think there will be a 5th visit.

Recently a friend treated a few of us to dinner here. Always a treat to dine at Ted’s. Tried the nut-crusted trout. Very good. Nice that the salad can be substituted for the veggies, for only a $ 1 upcharge. It was a substantial, tasty, non-greasy meal. Gave me the energy to get lots more more flood cleanup work done when I got home. Friends were happy with their meals. I think there’s something for everyone on Ted’s menu. There’s also a good children’s menu. Service was beyond excellent this time around.
