Amazing authentic Mexican food! They have incredible veggie tacos, and beans and rice. I am not sure if the beans are vegan or not. Took a friend here as well and he really liked it. Quickly became one of our fav mex restaurants in Boulder!

Finally! This is the first top-notch authentic Mexican food in Boulder(after 20 years of living in Denver I discovered there’s a level of cuisine we’ve never had in Boulder). And the prices are great. Excellent tacos de lengua, carnitas, fish tacos and perfect chile rellenos. The best horchata I’ve ever had. Definitely a step up from the previous ownership. Can’t wait to go back, often.

Great hidden Mexican place in a mall area that I would recommend you check out if you are hungry for Mexican food. Prices are pretty good and the area is pretty clean. The staff is very polite and it’s located next to a DMV inside the mall. Their horchata is tasty plus their menu has variety. Check it out for a quick and fun lunch.

Best Mexican food I have had since we left California. The tacos were super good. The chicken soup is rich. The expert burrito eater across from me gives it the thumbs up. Salsas were diverse and tasty. Funny little location in a strip mall type spot, but the food is really great.

I love this place. I always go here for taco Thursday! Cheap delicious tacos… And if you sign up for their little club promotion thing, you get free chips and other random text offers. I wish you guys had ground beef though.

Best Mexican food I’ve had since moving to Colorado about a year and a half ago. Who would have expected it to be in an indoor shopping plaza in Boulder? The salsa and guacamole were both wonderful, and the quesadilla I had was full of flavor. Will definitely come back here again, would probably even make the drive from Fort Collins just to taste this place again!

Sadly didn’t take any pictures, but the food was real good. I think I paid around $ 7 and I was stuffed for a long time. They even had a free taco Unilocal check-in, which was awesome. Not super fancy, but came here just to eat something quick and good.

This place is bomb. I’m from San Diego and this is best mexican food in Boulder I would say. I love the refried beans, the cheese quesadilla very good, chille relleno ok. Churros omg amazing they actually came warm and leche sauce inside.

It was a pleasure to eat here with my friend who knows good Mexican food. He had no complaints and my tamales were quite good. There was good seating available and lighting was great in this mall restaurant. A much better choice than the restaurant across the mall; I won’t mention names. I thought it was nice to have a soda water option at the soda fountain.

Sancho’s offers decent, cheap Mexican food. It’s a very casual place in an old strip mall. They have a varied menu with lots of choices. We started with chips, salsa and guacamole. The guacamole was fine, pretty much just avocado, couldn’t detect much else. Sancho’s has 6 different salsas. I tried them all. The one they serve with chips and salsa was my least favorite. My favorite was one that’s smoky(can’t recall the name). I put it on all my food, it was so good. I also had a chicken mole gordita(kind of a small quesadilla made with fat corn tortillas) and a taco al pastor. Both were kind of on the greasy side. I wouldn’t say it was great mole but I liked the gordita overall. The al pastor was unremarkable. There are a lot of things on the menu that looked good. I’ll probably give Sancho’s another shot, if nothing else, to eat more of that smoky salsa!

Driving back from Estes park we had a craving for Mexican food and Unilocal led us to Sancho’s. What a lucky discovery! We enjoyed delicious and authentic Mexican and can’t wait to return next time we are in the area.

I got huevos rancheros tonight, and I don’t even prefer huevos rancheros usually. It was so good, husband got 5 tacos for taco Thursday(1.25/taco) and daughter loved a kids quesadilla w rice and beans. For drinks, Agua de Jamaica, horchata and Mexican coke and fresh hot churros for dessert. Everything here is 100% amazing, fresh, and authentic. Update: I just had their carnitas enchilada and Agua de piña. Again I don’t usually order enchiladas but these were so perfect. Thick corn tortillas hold up well smothered in spicy green chile. The carnitas itself was amazing and agua de pina so good i ordered another to go.

Sancho’s is an amazing little hole-in-the-wall in a run down little shopping center in NE Boulder. I had the steak gordita and a cheese enchilada smothered in green sauce. The gordita was crispy and amazing. The enchilada was made with queso fresca and also marvelous. Ala cart, with a drink @$ 10.50 was awesome! The place was clean too! I heartily recommend you stop in if you’re in the area!!!

I’ll echo what else has been said about this place — a hole-in-the-wall in a strip mall, but some of the most delicious, authentic, affordable Mexican around. I’m partial to the vegetarian gorditas, Rajas con Queso — slices of roast poblano peppers and cheese sandwiched between masa cakes and beans, smothered in green chile. The tacos are also tasty, especially slathered with one of their many delicious salsas. The menu is enormous, so you can’t go wrong.

Small, cute and friendly place. Tacos avg $ 1.75 each. Good selection and variety. Salsa bar is an added plus. Got 4 tacos, soda and chips for about $ 10.00

Authentic Mexican food. Boulder doesn’t have any. Sanchos fills the bill. I had some delicious chicken enchiladas in green chili and a fantastic tacos al pastor. After living in Los Angeles for a little bit, I can say Sanchos is on par with some of the best places I’ve been there. Most challenging part about living in Boulder is finding reasonably priced quality ethnic food. I Santos is in that category.

We took our first trip to Sancho’s after reading the Daily Camera review. The restaurant is a little tricky to find as it’s in the back of the plaza at the corner of Iris and 28th but once we arrived, we were very excited to dig into all the delicious, authentic Mexican food and enjoyed our meal very much. The salsa bar is so much fun — many of the salsas are very spicy and absolutely delicious! I also had a delicious gordita with pork and also a chicken taco. Very tasty, very authentic, very friendly.

Finally, finally. FINALLY!!! We’ve been searching and searching in Boulder for an excellent and authentic Mexican restaurant. We hadn’t found any place even approaching that description, despite sadly misleading Unilocal reviews to the contrary. Then we walked into Sancho’s Authentic. SOFREAKIN’ GOOD!!! I can’t begin to say enough good things about this place. The food is just spectacular. Orders of magnitude better than any other Mexican or «Mexican» place in Boulder. To be very clear, I am in no way whatsoever affiliated with Sancho’s. I am simply an ecstatic customer. Sweetie and I have tried a wide range of items on the menu. Our main problem whenever we visit is deciding what to order, because we want one of every single menu item listed. There are quite a few traditional Mexican items that you won’t find at many other places around here, including Mexican shrimp cocktail, real caldos, birria(lamb stew), chicharrones, shrimp ceviche, menudo, sopes, barbacoa, gorditas(these ain’t your frat brother’s Taco Bell gorditas). And they also have more standard fare– street tacos, smothered burritos, quesedillas, tortas, etc. These more standard items, however, as SOMUCH better than at any other place we’ve tried in Boulder. And the salsa bar, which usually has five authentic salsas plus radishes, is fabulous in its own right. Could drink those salsas straight down. Yum! One gentle suggestion– take a chance and try something other than the familiar. You will be amazed. For instance, the birria will make you swoon. And the freshly made gorditas are sheer masa and meaty pleasure. The atmosphere is pleasant, and there is a nice patio out back.(It overlooks a parking lot, but is somewhat removed from it.) On Thursdays from 5−7pm, street tacos(which are phenomenal) are only $ 1.25 each, and there is live music. Please, please, PLEASE, try this place. I am so afraid that it will go out of business if people don’t know about it. Don’t let that happen. Help your fellow Unilocaler out!!! (May 6, 2015 update: the only menu items I wouldn’t specifically recommend are the tamales. I LOVE tamales. I am used to fat, fluffy tamales with flavorful fillings. The ones here didn’t quite measure up.)
