We actually really like the nurses and nurse practitioner we’ve seen at The Pediatric Center, however, this review is for the RECEPTION and BACKOFFICE of the practice. The receptionist on the«Sick Child» reception side of the desk, Lindsay, is really a nightmare. If you have any questions at all about insurance, billing, or even the forms/surveys you often have to fill out upon arrival, she has rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, and given us short, one word answers to questions about how to make the process more efficient. We’ve observed receptionist Lindsay acting this way on three separate occasions toward us and other patients, and even toward her colleague sitting next to her, responsible for checking in the«Well Child» patients. As a parent with a sick child, the worst thing in the world is to be greeted by a receptionist who seems to find it very exasperating to help or answer questions. We love the Center, but hope they would re-consider/re-evalaute who is greeting patients and their families. Additionally, we were not fortunate enough to have insurance that is accepted by The Center, so it’s been a bit of a struggle to get assistance filling out the appropriate claim paperwork. We have had to ask 2 – 3 times each time we visit the office — initially we’re told we don’t need the form, or that the insurance company can’t expect us to know how to fill out claim(HCFA) forms — but if you persist, they will do it. Our only wish is that we didn’t have to ask multiple times at every visit. We hope that these simple customer service pieces might improve so we can return to the lovely nurses and NP that we like so much at The Pediatric Center!
