This store is incredible. They carry a big selection of flavored balsamic vinegars and offer samples of foods that they have baked using their products. There are recipe cards around the store for you to take home and recreate these delights and the products are reasonably priced, particularly for a specialty shop. Great gift items too! They offer a discount if you bring back your bottle, which also helps with price, and frequently have specials. You can easily spend an hour here, tasting and learning about the products from their knowledgeable(and very friendly) staff. Don’t miss Savory Spice Shop next door – you’ll go home ready to cook.

What a gem off of Pearl Street Mall! We came here after stopping at their booth at the Boulder Fall Fest. With bountiful of free samples scattered around the store, one can easily spend an hour in this gourmet food store! They have quality balsamic vinegars and flavored olive oils that can elevate every dish you make at home! My favorites are the rosemary infused olive oil and cranberry-pear balsamic vinegar! The best part is that they have recipe cards to help you become the pro in the kitchen/bar with their products! No need to browse Pinterest for recipe ideas! They also sell fresh baked bread that they used for samples from the Med Restaurant! The olive loaf is my favorite. The staff is all very friendly and helpful in finding the right product you’re looking for! If you’re looking for gifts for a foodie or gourmet chef, look no further! The prices are very reasonable for the quality of product you get. Highly recommend stopping by this cute store next time you’re in downtown!

This store has grown so much since it opened, and has so many delicious, high quality, and local products. Their selection is amazing and imaginative, and makes me seem like a much better cook! Black mission fig vinaigrette on a goat cheese salad? Popcorn made with Persian lime olive oil? Homemade pesto with basil from the garden and flavorful Arbequina olive oil? Yum yum!

So many fantastic tastes and smells! If you’ve never been to a specialty olive oil and balsamic shop, please let this place be your first experience! They showcase tons of unique and delicious infused/flavored olive oils — blood orange, garlic, chipotle. Oliverde has nearly as many balsamics, too… my personal favorites being the dark chocolate, peach and the vanilla. There’s definitely something for everyone. And if you’re looking for a specific non-infused olive oil? They have 7 – 8 plain olive oils, virgin and extra virgin, sure to please. They provide bread for dipping and encourage you to try anything and everything. This past time, they even showcased a granola made with the blood orange olive oil; DELICIOUS! They have something(many things!) sure to please any professional or amateur chef, whether you’re looking to fill your own kitchen or someone else’s with a gift.

This was my first jaunt into a specialized balsamic and olive oil shop and now I am definitely addicted. These places always vaguely scared me because I could see myself wanting to spend every dime I make and, yes, that is probably what will happen. It was a Saturday afternoon and the place was fairly full but despite that I was greeted almost immediately and given primo attention/treatment. I was shopping for some balsamics for cocktails, specifically a dark chocolate and some fruit flavored ones as well. The gal who helped me showed me her favorites and we had a great conversation about flavor profiles and how each one might be used. Ah! Heaven for a foodie! They have some really well done balsamics like espresso, dark chocolate, mango, raspberry, and white peach. Some seemed a bit on the overly sweet side when taste-testing but I found once I mixed them into cocktails, they worked beautifully with a little bite at the beginning and a nice smooth finish. Heavenly! Overall the shop is great. Well organized, VERY helpful staff, gift boxes, and they have three different bottle sizes so you aren’t strongarmed into buying more(or less) than what you actually need. They will also make you a little variety 6-pack of your choosing, if you have 30 minutes to kill while they pull what you want, label it, and get it ready. I am jazzed to go back, check out their olive oils, and buy more bottles of everything that wows me so I can forward my journey in making every meal at my house more and more epic.

I love flavored olive oils and vinegars, and this places showcases an excellent spread. You can taste everything and on the weekends they make fresh bread– yuuummmm! They had a selection of new and exotic olive oils with a variety of flavors– I don’t even know the names, some I couldn’t pronounce but they were cool. I went home with the Mushroom Sage, Persian Lime, and the Harissa. All are perfect for dipping sauces and adding to a dish. The vinegars I bought were the Cinnamon and Pear, and the Blackberry Ginger. There were so many more– I loved the Basil but I’ll have to pick that one up next time. And if you like truffle oils they have a couple kinds too– Black and White Truffle oil. I felt so gourmet leaving this place. Specialty oils are expensive but since I make good use it’s worth the price. On the plus side they have a punch card — for every 10 bottles you get the 11th free. If you’re on Pearl walk down Broadway and check this place out, very happy I stopped in here.

I purchased a four-pack of minis(three oil, one balsamic) from Oliverde, and I’ve been very impressed. The chipotle olive oil makes for GREAT scrambled eggs, and I’ve made nice chicken with both the Italian oil and the lemon one. Plus, the pomegranate-infused balsamic makes a great salad dressing or fruit-dipping sauce. As another reviewer noted, the products are a little pricey, but no more so than most good-quality olive oil. I think the four-pack is a good way to start, as you’ll get four choices for the price of one large bottle so you can find your favorites. I enjoyed my in-store experience(we had a lot of fun walking around and tasting everything), and I think their products are excellent. I’ll be back for sure.

I wandered by here today, which happened to be Oliverde’s grand opening so I walked in. The airy shop sells«The Freshest Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Finest Balsamic Vinegars From Around the World», according to their website. This afternoon, they had tiny plastic tasting cups, cubes of fresh bread and plenty of oils and vinegars to sample, plus other munchies. To my surprise, I was more impressed by the infused balsamic vinegars(espresso, fig, maple… to name a few notables) than the flavored oils, although the chipotle one was nice. They also sell single varietal olive oils and truffle oils; I tasted some and those are probably worth springing for. But the flavored ones, at nearly $ 20 for a 750ml bottle(if I remember correctly), seem a bit pricey and gimmicky… most recipes don’t call for flavored oils and even a beginner cook can mix olive oil with spices appropriate for the meat/fish/vegetable dish and get good results. And, at the risk of outing myself as a branding and design snob, at those prices I expect an attractive or unusual bottle and/or logo, packaging to match the quality and price of the contents(and, from their perspective, that serves as a potent visual reminder to return to the store). Their dark green bottles with white lettering were«meh» and did not inspire me to make a purchase.
