I will say that they refunded the money I put down. And I did appreciate it, but that doesn’t mean I’ll be going back. I work hard for my money and feel that they ask way too much for what they offer. And please, Data Doctors, do not call me again asking how you can make me «more comfortable.» In fact please do not call me again, period. I will never be comfortable with your prices, and the fact that they’re «competitive with Best Buy» is NOT a good selling point — at least not for me. Can’t say I’m impressed with your use of my review as an opportunity to advertise either. Maybe your ratings would improve if you worried less about them and more about customer satisfaction.

These guys were the best! I walked in with four laptops: one that wasn’t working and three that needed wiped. They had my laptop working in less than 10 minutes and recommended the most economical way to secure the hard drives on my three other old laptops. Their service and pricing could not have been better.

After a very bad experience at Office Depot, took computer to Data Doctors. Office Data said my computer had bad drive and data was untransferable. Data Doctors transferred all my data. I purchased their monthly plan and feel confident they are there for me.

Can’t say enough good things about Robin, the young man who took my phone call and immediately eased my concerns about a virus I’d picked up off the Internet. He scheduled me for the first available appointment that same day. When I arrived he was helping another customer, got the next guest started, set me up, and dealt with a fourth person, basically all at the same time. He never made me feel stupid, and from watching him interact with the other customers(with varying levels of computer skill) he spoke clearly and competently without talking down to people or over their heads. He fixed my issue quickly, made a couple of recommendations, and spoke in terms I could understand. Very polite and professional at all times, seemed like he was truly glad to help everyone in the office.

Easy and Great Service! Polite, accessible and helpful people here! I don’t know much about computers so I got very nervous when my computer didn’t turn on. Not only where these guys available to see me the day I called, they also offered a free diagnostic check(I called two other places– they were appointment only and charged 30 $ for a diagnostic). As soon as I walked in I was helped and my problem was fixed(glitch in the battery). Even more impressive was that they didn’t charge me a thing for identifying the problem and fixing it! So glad I came to them instead of waiting around to pay 30 $ with the other guys. I will be back for sure!

Data Doctors kindly reached out to me the day after I posted my review. They explained that the lack of training of the particular staff member I initially encountered was why he gave me misinformation. They took full responsibility. And for the staff member I encountered on my 2nd visit, they apologized for his demeanor. They refunded me all of the fees associated with the Care program, including the 3 month charge for early cancellation. I really appreciate the care and concern of the person I spoke with at the Corporate HQ and believe it’s possible to have a good experience with this company.

Within an hour of posting the previous review, I received a call from the customer service manager. He explained that this situation had been unique and the time given is an estimate. He also explained that this location had been through some recent turnover. The miscommunication from multiple people may be resolved with time. In both the phone call and email follow up, this manager’s focus was on our lack of understanding how long it can take for a computer to be repaired, especially a custom laptop designed for field work. The primary reason for the Unilocal review and complaint to the parent company was about the lack of follow up and misinformation. The repair time was mentioned because when following up with representatives, different and misleading information was provided. I appreciate the fact that manager followed up after having written the original review. In the initial phone call, he did ask that I modify my Unilocal review. I am unwilling to change the initial review, but will say that having used this business before, this may have an isolated experience.

My experience was very disappointing. I took my computer in for a broken screen in the beginning of September. They returned it to me a month later and after having it for 5 days I had to bring it back because there was a new problem with the screen. They took it back and promised to expedite the process. 5 weeks later, I am finally picking it up today. It wasn’t just the amount of time it took but the fact that the staff was unwilling to communicate with me about the process. I had to continually call them because they would not answer my questions and promise to call back with answers. They never once called back forcing me to keep trying. Frustrated, I got the direct number of the man personally working on my computer and he was much more helpful, making data doctors essentially useless in the process. It was a frustrating and long process that was absolutely not worth it.

These guys are pros — they have a bunch of locations nationally and have been in business for 20 years. They fixed my computer within 2 business days — it was running super slow and had a bunch of spyware and viruses apparently(you can pay for rush service — which is a nice, added feature). They were very informative on what was wrong(in lay mans terms and called to update me as to the progress on my computer. They also sell computers, do data recovery, fix laptops, AND work on Macs — why would you go anywhere else? While I was interested in an upgrade for my RAM(to get better speed), they told me that I probably wouldn’t have a big jump in performance based on my specific computer configuration — imagine that, IT guys who aren’t sleazy and try to upsell you on every little thing when you don’t need it. They also have a cool subscription service called quality care which can lower your overall computer service needs moving forward — at most $ 23 a month or something which includes UNLIMITED online backup. Pretty Sweet. I’ll be a customer for life.
