This is our favorite indian food place in Boulder — or anywhere else! We eat here regularly and LOVE the lamb sag, beef masala and onion baji. The food is so flavorful and delicious… and healthy! They make most everything(except naan) gluten free, and the meats they use are all humanly raised and hormone free. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. When I see some of the negative reviews below, I think«WHAT!!!» I don’t even get it, this place is amazing.

This place lifts my soul into the clouds every time I go! I’m dumbfounded that a place so rare and precious could be in Boulder, right next to my home. It’s cheap, delicious food with views of the Rockies. I mean, isn’t that the agreed upon trifecta of awesome?! I think so. The food is incredible in it’s simplicity. The naan is doughy(not sure that’s traditional style but my American stomach loves it!), the rice isn’t dry and the vindaloo dishes are so flavorful! Did I mention their lamb cooking skills? I seriously don’t know how they pull it off. This is my go-to lunch spot and I thank my lucky stars that this place resides in the last place I would expect. Big shoutout to Zuned and family!

The guys here are great. Very friendly. The owner even helped me find parking. Parking is a bit difficult and you cant park on the north side. The girls here are indifferent and aloof. I asked for a fountain drink. When I asked her for a cup she looked at me like I was crazy and just pointed. A bit rude in my opinion. The #1 chx masala is really good and at a good price. I will definately come back.

This place is solid. Fast, inexpensive, delicious, the only possible negative is parking sucks. I have driven by a few times this week and decided to give it a try. The moment I steped out of the car I knew I was on the right track, it smelled amazing. I had the chicken danask Hot. It made my eyes water a little but wasn’t too spicy. It came with rice & Naan I ate every bite. You have got to try this place.

I really enjoyed lunch here the other day. We both got lunch specials– which are huge! We started with the samosas, really crispy, not too much filling, and came with cilantro and tamarind dipping chutneys. The lunch platters are filling, and we really did not need the extra appetizer, but I am glad to have eaten it. We had a yogurt chicken curry, and channa saag(chick peas and creamed spinach) The platters come with rice, an onion fritter, a large amount of curry(which is spiced to order-love that), naan– which was a little heavier than I am used to, and desert– which was just a few chunks of canned pineapple the day we were there. For 7.99 you cannot beat the value. I would love to eat here again, staff was nice. It is a fast casual restaurant. Also I love buffets, but so often I feel like I am going to die afterwards. I felt much better just eating the set lunch. The chai tea is also delicious here.

Oh lord. Horrible food. I cant even start to explain where to begin. Me n ma frnds went to this restaurant after a tiresome day. N ordered chicken soup n chicken curry… Chicken soup was given to us in a bowl, half the bowl was oil… N chicken curry — it was horrible. Chicken pieces in sambar my frnd ate just rice without curry as he was very hungry where in the world is this indian cuisine please avoid this place… Please do… I gave one start as i cannot give 0 stars…

Good find. Thanks fellow Unilocalers, the staff was fun and helpful the portions Are plentiful. Don’t be scared to order vindaloo spicy! Garlic naan is really flavorful. For good appetizers I recommend onion baji. No frills but who cares when they are nice about helping you.

This is easily my favorite restaurant in Boulder. Everyday they have 6 specials on their board for both lunch and dinner. Three meat specials, three vegetarian specials. I have never had a bad meal here in my over 10 visits to those location, and that’s saying a lot considering I’ve lived in Boulder for only 3 weeks. I won’t even bother recommending anything, no point, everything is guaranteed to be good. Long live Curry n Kebob!

This establishment deserves four stars for a few reason: 1. The food is cheap 2. The food is cheap BUT it still tastes good 3. The cashiers are generally very friendly 4. The food comes out fast 5. There is usually something reminiscent of Chicken Tikka Masala on their list of daily specials. To be fair I will also mention some of the bad news here… 1. The prices have increased in the past two years. This is of great concern for those on a college budget. 2. That was actually everything bad I had to say.

Unreal Indian food. For my money, the Chicken Makhani(buttered chicken) is the star. If you’ve never had this delicious Indian dish, prepare to have your life changed. Think a spiced up version of tomato basil soup with delicious tender chicken inside, all served with amazingly soft naan bread, delicious condiments, fried onions, and perfectly cooked basmati rice. And then there’s the value. At $ 8 for the lunch special, you’ll get enough food to feed two normal humans or one competitive eater. This place is as good as it gets, and the sort of perfectly done unique food you’ll be craving again and again.

Lunch special is the way to go! Seriously delicious food with great service, and it’s a true bargain considering the portions you receive. I highly recommend the chicken makhni. As a tip, they go light on the spice, so don’t be afraid to order with more spice level than you might otherwise.

Went here again last night… OMG their lamb biryani is amazing and meat samosa. I could eat it all the time. It’s the closest thing to my mom’s lamb pilau/biryani. I gave it full 5 stars for that. and they said my order will be ready in 10 mins and indeed it was.

This place is in a little nondescript row of shops on 28th St so it’s not fancy but the food is really good. I had the Chicken Makhni, a chicken soup with rice on the side. It’s called a cream sauce but it’s really a soup, served in a bowl, and delicious. The nan is the lightest, freshest I’ve ever tasted. The other dish on the table was Mushroom Mutter, a mushroom and pea soup, also so good. There was some kind of crunchy onion thingy that added texture. The individual portion size was good for 2 meals for me. I like that I was able to dictate the heat by request. The price is great. The place is clean and simple; the staff friendly. We got there around 11:30a.m. and noticed the increase in traffic around noon. Busy place. I like the Bollywood movies on the TV screen. We’ll be back.

What is there to say about Curry and Kabob that hasn’t already been said? My partner adores this place, so it’s a shock when I realize that we don’t swing by nearly enough. The prices are reasonable the service is quick — both in the restaurant and via delivery. The food is always fresh and the prices are stellar. To my vegetarian comrades, I strongly recommend the veggie samosas. They always hit the spot no matter my mood. But do know that the saag paneer, chana masala, and vegetable korma will not disappoint! Or, you can trust your gut and go with their daily veggie special. In the end, you can’t go wrong at Curry n Kebob.

While checking out the Bookworm down the street, I smelled Indian food and was reminded that I had not yet eaten and Indian food sounded amazing. Quick search on the Unilocal app informed me that Curry n Kebob was nearby and I was on my way. This place… this place is amazing. The guy at the front counter was very helpful and showed us around the menu when we told him it was our first time here. He recommended the lunch special and it’s a pretty solid option. The lunch specials are HUGE. For $ 7.95, you get a big bowl of the main dish, rice, a generous serving a naan, a small bowl of diced fruit, onion bhaji, and chutney. I choose the chicken makhani(butter chicken) and it was fantastic. Your food comes out super quickly — it came out before my boyfriend had time to finish using the bathroom. They’ve clearly got the process down pat here and it’s really impressive. Granted, there was no way I was going to be able to eat all that food, but I made a pretty impressive dent in it. The food really hit the spot and I was so glad we got a chance to stop by.

What a great find. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. And seriously, it’s so fast they almost passed me and got to the table before I did. They have specials(meat and veggie options) that are 10.50 and super generous portions. I was taken aback at the size of the meal. I ordered hot spice wise and it wasn’t really that hot but other than that this place is highly recommended. Get there!

I’m sad that it has taken me so long to finally go and try Curry n kebob. The urging of my Indian friends weren’t enough, the amazing Unilocal reviews were not enough, it ultimately came down to my want for a nice cheap, yet delicious Indian lunch. Their daily special us a screaming deal, $ 7.95 for a big bowl of a curry, basmati rice, a full naan, onion bhaji and some pineapple. The food caters to both American/English taste buds and to real curry fans like myself. There are some creamy dishes, but the also really complex spiced dished that stick close to the originals. I had the chicken Jalfrezi, Indian hot, the chicken was cooked perfectly, rice mix of chicken to garbanzo’s to sauce. My GF had the chicken makhani, only medium spiced, hers too had perfectly cooked chicken, and nice mildly spicy tomato cream sauce. The accompaniments were spit on, it’s nice to have the onion fritter(bhaji) included, as well as a whole piece of what looked to be freshly made naan and a pile of basmati rice. The lunch is a great deal, and the dinner at $ 3 more is also a great deal. We also ordered a vegetable samosa dish, coming with mint and tamarind chutneys. They were good and 3 for $ 3.50 is a bargain. The setting is more quick serve but with a slower pace, you order at the counter picking from either the daily chalk written«specials» or you can order from a larger menu. You pay and then get a number and a few minutes later your meal arrives on a large stainless steel serving tray. It’s great for couples, families or even single people that want a great deal.

The Good: Fast service, affordable prices and tasty Indian food. The Bad: This is a personal preference, but I’m a little sad their aloo gobi(cauliflower & potato curry) doesn’t have matar(peas). UPDATE — you can request peas to make it aloo gobi matar, no charge, yay! The Food: Great value — the specials(six daily — three meat & three veggie choices) come with rice, naan, fried onion with sauce, and pineapple chunks. I get the aloo gobi and it’s good, not the best I’ve ever had(and I’ve had a LOT, it’s my favorite dish in the world) but it’s solid and at a good price. The Service: Order at the counter, they are fast and friendly and you can get your food spiced mild, medium or hot. They bring your food to you and bus your table for you(they are fast and totally on it). Bring your waterbottle or get drinks at the soda station, they don’t serve beers or alcoholic drinks. Overall: Great spot for a quick, unfussy, affordable and tasty lunch or dinner.

Hands down one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Boulder(especially for lunch as I typically leave with leftovers if I pace myself). The atmosphere here is casual and comfortable. It’s a super spot to grab some grub after a climbing session at Movement Gym. I’d also like to add that I’ve never received any strange looks even with climbing chalk marks on my clothes. The staff is pretty friendly(one time I was discouraged from ordering my food extra extra hot as it was more expensive for them. They recommended that I add my own spice(chili powder is what I think they said). This totally took me aback as super hot Indian food is my absolute favorite. Needless to day It took several months for me to come back. Bottom line for me is that the lunch/dinner specials are convenient and well priced. Also I can hardly resist looking forward to enjoying the yummy leftovers(on most occasions).

Good food at a great value! You must order and pay at the counter at this establishment, and then your food will be brought to you when it is ready. I ordered the chicken masala special, which came with rice, naan, and a pakora. I also ordered the lamb biryani, which did not come with anything else. The chicken masala was merely ok. The chicken pieces were stewed in the sauce and not cooked in an oven, which made them a little soft and devoid of the firm texture that I have come to expect from this dish. The pakora was delicious, crispy, and well-seasoned. The lamb biryani was aromatic and flavorful, topped with fried onions. The lamb pieces themselves were cooked, but not seared(no maillard reaction), and some pieces had large pieces of fat and gristle attached to them. Not ideal, but I could deal with it. I’m sure some more finicky diners would consider it a deal-breaker.
