Bili Blanket Baby

My son developed Jaundice a few days after leaving the hospital. Our Pediatrician recommended blue light therapy. Emma, of Bili Blanket Baby, was in touch right away with the option to deliver or pick up the blanket within minutes of speaking with our Doctor. Emma stayed in touch during the entire process to make sure my son and I were doing well. This is amazing technology, which lets you treat your baby at home and still allows for close contact with your baby! I would recommend Bili Blanket Baby to anyone treating a child with jaundice.

My son had jaundice when he was born back in mid-​May. My pediatrician recommended we try light therapy, specifically the Bili Blanket, to see if his biliruben numbers would improve with the light-​therapy blanket. The alternative would have been going to the hospital for a few days with my sweet newborn under lights. OH MY! NO WAY, I THOUGHT! I called the phone # and Emma immediately helped me & went OUT OF HER WAY to get me the Bili Blanket delivered to my house within a few hours. All of the newness of a first baby: no sleep, the changes, not latching, and my baby had jaundice, I was certainly overwhelmed, emotional, and needed to stay in the comfort of my own home. Emma & her company were LIFE SAVERS! What an amazing invention – to be able to wrap my newborn in a blanket of light therapy all in the comfort of my home – and I opted for it to be delivered to me – it was all within a few hours – the paperwork (all electronic), texting with Emma (so much easier than phone or emails), all super easy, and flexible. Emma has SUCH a personal touch, & that’s JUST what you need when you’re a new mom – everything made me want to cry those first few days :) & her sweet & caring approach were PERFECT! We had the most amazing experience with Bili Blanket Baby and Emma! WOW! What an incredible service she provides. I was on the phone for THREE hours trying to get a Bili bed delivered to our daughter at home to start therapy. After getting connected with Emma, we had a bili blanket in route in 30 minutes. The document and lease agreement is uncomplicated, clear and concise. Emma arranged for a driver to bring us the bed in Colorado Springs same day. I can’t even describe the peace of mind I felt in working with Emma to get our daughter what she needed in such a time sensitive manner. She went above and beyond to help us. She was texting with us to give us updates on the driver and made herself available to facetime or Skype if we needed the support in getting the bili blanket on our daughter. Emma was great and very helpful! Even months after we used the blanket she still helped with getting insurance to reimburse us. I would highly recommend them. The delivery option is affordable and I also recommend paying a little more and getting the insurance. This is such a great option and hopefully will keep you from having to use lights at the hospital. If your Doctor doesn’t know about this you should bring it up.

Emma (the owner of bili blanket baby) made what could have been a very stressful process so easy. I was able to sign all the forms from my iPhone on the drive home from the doctors office and our bili blanket was waiting for us. Emma was available by text message– which for someone with a newborn is key. I didn’t have time to be on the phone — but could send a text message at my leisure. It was awesome. I am also a pediatric nurse practitioner and have worked with other companies trying to secure bili blankets and lights– often they don’t deliver, don’t have any lights/​blankets left and take 4 – 6 hours to obtain. The best part was that the blanket was so easy to use, we could still hold my son in it and even put him in clothes. The rates are so affordable that we could easily pay out of pocket for them. I would highly, highly recommend this company to anyone!

When our son was born we were notified that he had jaundice and needed home light therapy. The only therapy offered in Colorado Springs was a bili bed. It was painful to leave our first born child in that light bed all day and not be able to hold or comfort him. We searched all around the Springs looking for a better option but nobody had a bili blanket. We then turned to google to search in Denver. We found Bili Blanket Baby and called immediately. From that point on everything was perfect. Emma, the owner, worked with our doctor to get the prescription and get the blanket to us that very evening. It felt as if the world’s weight had been lifted off of our shoulders when we were able to hold our son and show him just how much we loved him. We ended up having to keep the blanket for an extended period of time and Bili Blanket Baby was very helpful in making sure we had enough wraps for the blanket and checked in on Aiden on several occasions just to see how he was doing. I highly recommend doing business with Bili Blanket Baby. Should we ever need these services again we will not hesitate to call from the hospital so that we can have our child at home in our arms instead of having to watch them suffer in one of the beds that they aren’t supposed to be taken out of.
