The Nevada State Veterans Home has set a precedent for all state facilities to follow. The facility cares for resident veterans, as well as, spouses of veterans. Quality care by attentive staff makes it a real home. I began volunteering here in November 2014 and look forward to each opportunity to visit my heroes. Update 7÷12÷15 In response to a personal inquiry here on Unilocal: Thanks for asking me about this wonderful place. My veteran father is no longer with us, but I look forward to my weekly volunteer service at the state veteran’s home. This facility is the gold standard in the nation, leading all other states far and above the others. Please go and visit the home and you will see what I mean. Very caring environment with a great deal of respect and the utmost in consideration for the residents. Your dad will likely live in the«neighborhood» of the facility called, Mariner’s Cove. There are special considerations in place there for the dementia residents. You won’t find a better place for your dad in this entire valley.
