Ray Brothers Barbeque

I would give this 10 stars if I could. AMAZING FOOD everytime. Reasonable prices because they give you sooooo much food. Also, amazing customer service, amazing environment. I can’t say enough good things about this place!!! I would there every night if possible! If you haven’t been here, get there soon!!!

They are tops in everything I can think of. Their food is fantastic, and so is the service. The pulled pork nachos are to die for. They are almost a meal in themselves for a couple of people. Go hungry! (And get the nachos.) I’ve had their hot sausage sandwich a couple times and loved it. They have good sides; I like the baked beans. My friends have gotten the meatloaf specials and the half a chicken a couple times, and they say it’s great! Here are a few things I would recommend, even though, as I say, they are a not-​to-​be-​missed place: make the drinks stronger and serve them with a normal straw; serve the cornbread piping hot and bigger pieces (people love hot cornbread with butter); serve the baked beans in a hot dish so it stays hotter longer. (Give the cornbread away for free; people will love it.) I want to especially say that their hostesses and servers are great: they know everything and are very friendly, so you get a nice relaxing night out, which is what people want. There will probably be a wait during busy Friday and Saturday nights. They do not take reservations. Their parking lot is too small; oh well.

Never disappointed. Go about once a week and are never disappointed. The food is always delicious. Best ribs — succulent and tender. There homemade sauces bring it all together and their smoked chicken wings are so meaty and flavorful. Best barbeque ever. Everyone is so friendly. Worth the trip.

This place is awesome! We had the ribs and nachos — the nachos with shredded pork are a meal by them selves! Service was excellent and the bbq suave recommendations matched the food perfectly!

I love this place and usually wouldn’t say anything bad about it but today I have to. I drove 25 minutes to get here tonight and was told I can’t order food for takeout. Really??? Just because it is busy you turn my business away? Probably be a while before I come back

Move over Dinosaur. So long Piggy Pats. Ray Brothers is the best in the area. The service is amazing — always friendly and welcoming. The food is even better. I was a sucker for the pulled pork plate, but now am a big fan of the meatloaf. Wow. Judge’s Chicken is also great. Seriously, as someone who grew up in the south where barbecue is king, this place is worth the drive to Bouckville. They do «smoke the good stuff.»

So one of my girlfriends (who has been to Ray Brothers several times) suggested we go here for dinner: she kept ranting and raving about how delicious everything is. I was so excited! Nothing can beat GREAT BBQ!
First off: I LOVE BBQ! I’ve been to a number of amazing BBQ places all around… From CNY, to NYC… All the way to Aruba. I love how Ray Brothers has live music on Fridays– such a cool and down to earth crowd– and they make everything home made. Which is always a plus!
We came in on a Friday night around 7:30– the place was packed, with a 45 min wait for a table outside. We sat at the bar and had some cold beers on tap. I had the smoky BBQ beer which was soooo delicious, brewed right here in CNY! And a creamy ale which was just as good. The bartenders are cool and friendly.
I had the Carolina pulled pork sandwich. Food came out fast. The BBQ pork was kind of dry– not much flavor. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. Just being honest.
The band was good, and they have a bonfire outside with chairs around which is pretty awesome and chill!
All and all I wouldn’t come here again for the food. Or anything for that matter. For CNY, yes it’s out of the ordinary and unique. But people from central New York don’t know REAL food… Sorry people.

Wings were phenomenal! Ribs were fall off the bone & delicious, Meatloaf was moist & terrific with the suggested RBQ enhancement. Staff was very attentive & prompt ~ Thanks to Jenny, Sara & everyone else ~ we will return and bring a crew!

There is no other way to say it– not only was it the best barbecue I’ve ever had, but it was some of the best tasting food, at any restaurant, period. My wife and I live in NYC and consider ourselves foodies, going out to dinner all the time at the «latest and greatest» that NYC has to offer, and the flavors and tastes of the food from RBQ beats many of NYC’s best restaurants, hands-​down. The meatloaf gently falls apart with every bite, exploding with rich flavor and zest. The pork was juicy, the wings were meaty, the beans were perfectly cooked, and to top it all off, RBQ’s maple-​bacon cheesecake was so good I was speechless. Let me repeat that dish: Maple. Bacon. Cheesecake. Just think about it– it was spectacular.
If only I lived up in CNY– I’d be at RBQ every night of the week and twice on Sunday.

Wow. Fantastic food, excellent service– just love this place! Our first time here, and we are very impressed. Up here from Maryland, and the food is fantastic. Rib tips, RBQ Meatloaf Melt, the prime rib– just outstanding. The Bomb sauce is so unique, and fantastic. The pulled pork rivals the best I’ve had in NC– and better than my own. We will be back for brunch tomorrow.

Back again and again. Finally tried the bacon cheesecake. Just as good – no, better – than they said. Eating here is the highlight of our August antiques week experience.

Went for my second visit and have not found an item that was not good. Today I had the chicken and meatloaf platter with cucumber salad and mac n cheese. The meatloaf was not something I thought I would ever order at a restaurant, but I am glad that I did, I had it with the spicier bbq sauce and it would be something I would reorder! The chicken was fall off the bone tender and super delicious. I can’t wait to return so I can enjoy even more excellent bbq!

Very happy with the BBQ. We had meatloaf and ribs in a combo meal to share. Yum!

The best barbecue smoke I’ve been to. I’m from Fayetteville, N. Y and I will go back again and again. Five stars, Thanks Ray Brothers BBQ you are awesome.

We are thrilled to have top notch BBQ within easy reach of our home. If Ray Brothers were closer to Syracuse, I would expect them to siphon off some business from Dinosaur BBQ.
Try the loud puppies (spicy hush puppies) for sure, and we like to take home a generous side order of rib tips. Supplemented with some homemade side dishes, one order of rib tips supplies us with four modest portions of delicious meat.

I’ve only visited twice but I knew I liked it pretty much upon entering, I’ve had the ribs and the pulled pork and several sides. The cornbread stands up well to their delicious bbq.

If you live near here you must go! If not, go anyway. I was lucky enough to be in town from NYC with family and they brought me here. I’m not a BBQ fan so I was skeptical but the meatloaf was amazing! Huge portion I almost finished; can’t wait to be back. Wow!

Amazing BBQ ! Their Carolina pulled pork sandwich is to die for along with a side of their specially seasoned fries. The hush puppies are a must for an appetizer! The BBQ here will really make you feel like you are in the south… only you’re in upstate NY!

Home run for BBQ food. Had a Carolina pulled pork sandwich with cornbread, which was fantastic. Atmosphere is great even while the place was packed. It took a long time to be seated, but the staff and the food made it a non-​issue. Great lineup of beer from Good Nature Brewery in Hamilton, NY.
Can’t recommend this place enough. The rest of our 6 person party raved about their food as well.

Staff was very attentive and knew everything about all things on menu.
Everything we ordered was served fast, cooked perfectly and was delicious. Rib tips, Carolina pulled pork, smoked baked beans, cucumber salad, cornbread all great tasting. Apple crisp and ice cream desert was great too.
Staff eager to please an felt like a guest more than a customer.
Limited menu until 4 pm.
Great place and it’s sure to be on our top 5 places to eat.
(Noticed a really nice small bar area too)
