Stopped by here for lunch. The burger was great. Good size with nice thick cuts of bacon. My friend loved the northwest pita that was loaded with Salmon. The service was quick and the prices were reasonable.

Special dinner for my son’s birthday. Very good and pleasant service. For the quality of the food I think the prices were OK. My daughter-in-law had the duck and I also ordered the duck. It was delicious and cooked just right. My son ordered the rack of lamb and this was also cooked to his taste. The suggested wine was very good and I would order it again. Enjoyed the dinner and would come back again.

All four of us had outstanding dinners — steaks were cooked perfectly. Desserts were amazing too.

Don’t eat here. It’s over priced, over rated, and the workers are underpaid. Their lunch programs is like a school café and their dinner is not good. The waitress was awful and condescending to me and my family. Also the facility is not clean at all.

First visit and I loved the place. Great service and cozy atmosphere. Had the crab cakes and antipasto platter. both were yummy. Crab cakes were loaded with crab. The steak I had was amazing. Such great flavor. Someone else had the park chop and it was so delectable! Had the caramel bread pudding… a must! Can’t wait to go back

I’ve only had lunch at Russell’s, never dinner. I recently had a client in from another country and took him to lunch at Russell’s. I had heard great things and the website made it sound wonderful. Boy, was I surprised. Lunch is served cafeteria style where you stand in a line(like cattle) and order at the window. Not impressive to my foreign client. At lunch you also serve yourself. So, I played waitress and obtained glasses, silverware, napkins and poured water. Fun. They were very busy, so it took a while for the food to arrive. It’s extremely loud at lunch and you cannot hear the person on the other side of the table. I ordered the BLT. It was dry and messy and dull… and expensive. Someone else ordered the smoked salmon pasta and said it was mediocre. The asian salad, mediocre and not filling. Then we cleaned up our table and left. No one was too impressed. Several weeks later I again had a foreign client in town, but this time the lunch location was not my choice. It was Russell’s. The special was fish tacos. Several of us, including my client, ordered the special. It was supposed to be cod dredged in panko and fried, then rolled in a tortilla. The tacos were cold, the fish was cold and extremely overcooked, to the point of being stringy, and the panko was soggy. So bad. And again, way overpriced. My client was not at all impressed and neither were my other co-workers. I was truly embarrassed. Not the way I want to treat a client who has traveled halfway around the world to see us. Such a disappointment from the impression given on the website. It says nothing on the website about cafeteria style lunch and self-service. Definitely not the place to take anyone you want to impress. Ever! If this is what lunch is like I’m not even going to consider dinner. I will take clients elsewhere, despite the fact that Russell’s is the closest restaurant to our office.

High-end restaurant with a great selection of wines and food. Soup and salad was delicious. Meat and cheese appetizer was fabulous. Entrees are out of this world, but pricey! Also service is at a mellow tempo, which I appreciate. Expect to spend 1:30 to 2 hours for dinner, not fast food. :-)

We live a few blocks from Russell’s and have always wanted to try it. Unfortunately, we will not be back. My friends and I were seated in advance as my wife was coming separately since the dinner was a surprise for her birthday. After taking our initial drink order, the waitress rushed off without asking if we’d like appetizers. Once our drinks arrived, we sat there for another 35 minutes before she came back to ask us if we’d like a refill. A nice dish of oil and vinegar sat waiting for bread to accompany it but no such luck. After flagging a bus boy down near the end of the 35 minute waitress hiatus, he was nice enough to bring a basket of bread. Once the rest of our party arrived, we put in our dinner orders. I had the double cut pork chop which was good. However, my wife, who is a strict vegetarian, was looking forward to the vegetables. Unfortunately, every single serving of veggies was completely uncooked and served raw. My friend ordered a steak medium rare and was served one well done. When we finally tracked the waitress down(she never came to check on us once other servers brought food, this was about 20 minutes into our meal), she frowned and thumbed through her servers book in a skeptical fashion claiming that wasn’t how he ordered it. She finally found her notes and agreed she wrote it down wrong. When asked about the uncooked vegetables, she responded«oh, we serve those Al Dente here. But you are right, we call those bullets because when you try and cut into them they shoot across your plate.» Then gave us a courtesy chuckle and walked off. If you know you serve something different, maybe mention this at the time of our order? Not to mention that Al Dente does not translate as completely uncooked. We only saw her that once during dinner. We repeatedly had to ask the busboy(the only bright spot; if I had cash on me, I would have tipped him and no one else) for drink orders, silverware, more bread, etc… The waitress did take the price of my friend’s steak off his bill but did nothing for the veggies on our tab. We were also asked if this was a special occasion and told them it was my wife’s birthday. While we saw other tables gifted with celebratory deserts we saw nothing and her birthday was never mentioned again. I’m fine with dropping over $ 50 a plate at fine restaurants but I expect exceptional service and outstanding food. The food at Russell’s was«ok» and the service was non-existent.

I came here one awhile back and had a horrible experience. Long story short, I had ordered the duck, and it had come out overdone. I am very particular about my duck so before I ordered it, I asked the waitress how it was prepared. She assured me it would come out medium rare. Perfect, or so I thought. When my duck arrived and not cooked to fit the description she gave me, she told me that’s what medium rare looked like. Come on! I don’t claim to be a genius, but I’m also not blind. Anyhow, we talked with the manager and we were comped our after dinner drinks and that was at least two years ago and I vowed to never come back. But sometimes promises do get broken. I want to like Russell’s. I really really do, especially since we are moving to Bothell and so desperately wanted a fine dining option to go to. However, I was disappointed yet again. This time, I knew to stay away from the duck. I was excited about my cassoulet. I was really craving the cassoulet from Le Campagne and thought, well this should do. Well, it did not do. It was bland save for the lamb sausage. But that wasn’t the tragedy of the night. It was the raw pork chop that stole the show. We told the waitress about it to which she confidently replied, «I’ll let Russell know.» Things were looking on the up and up. That was short lived. When the porkchop made a reappearance, we quickly found out that it was heated up to the point of being chewy and unedible. My husband gave it a couple of bites and shoved it off to the side. We gave the feedback to our waitress, but it might as well have fallen on deaf ears. Thank god for Unilocal

Love this place. The lounge is ultra cool with leather sofas and the food is amazing. The filet Oscar style cannot be topped. Super lucky to have this place so close. Beats Daniels and John Howie hands down. Superb wine selection as well!

We had reservations to celebrate a birthday. The waiter commented that he saw this on our reservation we had made through OpenTable. Appetizer: Seasonal foraged mushrooms: Medley of foraged and seasonal mushrooms with shallots and thyme. Delicious! New Bedford sea scallops: Pan seared with fresh herb beurre blanc(This is a French white sauce made from butter and infused with shallots), garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables which were asparagus and broccoli. $ 28 Delicious!!! Grilled salmon(British Columbia) for $ 40. I had a choice of another salmon for $ 60 so BC was an obvious choice :) Neither was served on a gold platter. I asked for this over a Caesar salad. Delicious. Service: luke warm. Our server did not go out of his way to help us celebrate at all. We waited quite a while for our main courses. Probably 20 – 25 minutes. During this time the server walked by numerous times glancing at our table, but did not stop by to let us know a status, or even apologize for the long wait. We didn’t get a complimentary anything, not even a scoop of sorbet. Quality of ingredients: 5 stars. Taste: 5 stars. Low cal: go elsewhere. There isn’t much on the menu aside from salads. Most dishes are beurre blanc based. With a sauce loaded with butter, it has GOTTO taste good. Prices: for this location, exceptionally high. Value: go elsewhere. This was a disappointing experience for a birthday celebration. Our server could have done so much more to enhance our evening. Even for a non-celebratory dinner, we will hesitate to return because the service was sorely lacking due to the long wait and the lack of attention.

Converted barn in a business park, trying to pass itself off as «fine dining». It just isn’t. I have eaten here dozens of times for lunch because it was next door to my employer. Pretty expensive, pretty mediocre, not a good value. Admittedly I am pretty cheap for lunch. When you pass the 14.00 mark it better come correct. The kids used to say that. I have been here for dinner maybe three times. This place takes itself very seriously after dark. It shouldn’t. Did I mention it was in a business park at the end of a dead end? Russell invested in a lot of money in to glass objects of art — I wish he would put that money in to his menu instead. Again — the food is just mediocre. I have had steak that was fine but it pained me to pay the check. I had a seafood pasta that was inedible. Only half was taken off the bill since«you ate half of it». Sorry, choking down three bites was half a serving. Sounds like a portion problem to me. I think they have a serviceable wine list here — but I don’t drink. The owner is very personable. I’m going to skip this place and I can’t recommend it to anyone else, either.

I’ve been here for lunch several times and it’s a solid local choice for folks that work nearby. Soups, salads and sandwiches are all good. Bread is nice and fresh, with focaccia for my grilled chicken sandwich today. French onion soup was good too. They serve breakfast and espresso too, along with dinner service. At lunch it’s sort of a semi-service restaurant. Order at the counter, pick up your own napkins and silverware and find a seat. They will bring your food to you. It’s a nice space with room to visit with your group and chat.

It seemed like a good idea at the time, however if I have a reservation for 730, I expect to be sat by 730. By the time we did sit, it was almost 8. The noise levels are high, no booths, and servers that try to be funny but come off as smart asses. Steak needed more seasoning, mashed potatoes were light in flavor, kettle chips were bagged not fresh. Definitely not worth the 100+ you’re going to drop. In the end we just wanted to leave but could not get our server to bring our check. Considered walking out.

Enjoyed a nice dinner out away from the kids. While waiting for our table we grabbed a drink at the bar. The bartender seemed rushed, but the Ginger Mule he made for my wife was good. I had a glass of Prosecco. Once seated, we ordered a cheese plate appetizer — pretty basic cheese options with a toasted bread and fruit. Our server had quite a few tables, and we didn’t feel like there was personal attention given to any. He didn’t cover the specials or offer anything — 100% reactive, order-taker. Each table receives a loaf of warm bread with a balsamic and oil mixture — VERY delicious. For entrées ww had the filet and the rack of lamb. Both came with a vegetable and mushroom risotto. My wife asked for medium to medium rare on the filet and it definitely leaned on the rare side, but it was still delicious. The lamb was tougher than I expected but was also good. We paired this with the Washington Cab Sav which was a fair choice. For dessert we enjoyed the caramel tart to go — very tasty. We would have liked a bit more attention from our server; however the young lady assisting him with bringing out food and keeping water filled was on-point the entire night

This place was wonderful. Overall we had a great dinning experience with outstanding service. We came here after wine tasting. My husband and I ordered Hendricks and tonic — it was an excellent drink. Bartenders know what they are doing. My husband has the filet mignon and I had prawns fettuccine. Both were delicious. My husband ordered his meat medium and it was still red and cold but they cooked a few minutes longer and it was awsome. We couldn’t eat everything on our plates(generous portions). The next morning we had the leftovers and they were fantastic! Outside Russell’s is an odd spot because it’s part of an office park. Inside restaurant was very cool with high ceilings, white tablecloths and super cozy. Plenty of parking. Food took a little long — but worth the wait. It was an extremely busy Friday night. Can’t wait to return.

Recommended by the gentleman at Willows Lodge, we decided to get dinner reservations at Russell’s since we were all craving steak. Here were my initial thoughts of this 3.5 star joint. Definitely a bit older crowd Old school steakhouse and décor The bread was good… was brushed with garlic butter and served with oil/balsamic Service towards us younger people… I dunno. Our server was nice but it seems like we perhaps had been put on the back burner as we were passed up several times before being able to place an order for anything. Wine list is great as much of it is local. We all got steak and opted to split Caesar salad. One is enough for two people. Salad was nothing super special, but was a nice addition. My filet mignon was pretty tasty. Cooked nicely. It came with a mushroom risotto which was so-so and some Brussels sprouts/squash. All in all the meal was quite good. We left satisfied. Prices are that of a steak house… near $ 40 for you meal not including sides or drinks. They also have a barn venue space on site which was kind of neat. As it was dark out I didn’t take note of much else as it was located in a weird business area. Kind of hard to find. If you’re looking for a steak dinner in the area however, this would likely be your place!

Called ahead and order a Togo order for my coworker and I. We’ve eaten inside the restaurant before too, so I’ll talk about both experience. Service is good, the cashiers are friendly and our food usually was finished in a good amount of time(15 minutesish). Food wise I have a few complaints. I got the salmon fettuccine when I ate inside Russell’s and it was good for awhile, but then it got really rich and heavy after 4 bites. It might be me though. Now the biggest disappointment was with the salmon pita wrap. Kay. If you’re going to put salmon in a wrap… DEBONETHESALMONFILET. As the person eating the wrap, it’s expected that I don’t take a bite into it and spend minutes trying to take the bone out of my mouth. Or even spend minutes using my hand to pick out the bone from the salmon that’s in the wrap… Oh also, I found a hair. I mean hairs don’t kill, but still in terms of cleanliness, I’m sure people won’t be happy to see a hair poking out from the food. Other than that, the tomato bisque soup was pretty good, maybe awkwardly cheesy in some bites but that’s okay. Worth $ 4? Eh… That’s debatable. The latte was good. Worth the money? Not really. $ 20 for all that is… Ehhh…
